Food good and service excellent. Dinner and breakfast both fine. Waitress at dinner first class, cheerful, friendly and accommodating- deserves special mention. Despite being focussed on the coach party presence we were pleasantly surprised at everything and the room and toilets (en-suite and in the main reception area) were spotless.

Could do with more facilities for children ie games room or similar but understandable due to the need to service coach parties. Some decorative work on the exterior and landscaping would be good but interior upgrading much better than expected.

Stayed here before and it is good value for money. Good choice of bottled beer and my evening meal was very good a reasonably priced. The waitress was very efficient and attentive.

Barman was indifferent. There was a Halloween event on during the evening that I stayed and although the rooms are in a different building from the function room so no noise from it could be heard but guests returning to their rooms after the party at 1 a.m. were very noisy and woke me up. Breakfast next morning wasn't up to the usual standard that I had experienced before, the scrambled eggs were very "watery", the bacon salty and the coffee wasn't nearly hot enough.

The location is fantastic. The rooms were spotless and staff were more than happy to help with any enquiries. There was a great selection for breakfast and it was delicious. More than enough to set you up for the day.

The only drawback I would say personally is having to make dinner reservations beforehand. Which we didn't do however there is a lovely restaurant in the village of Aberfoyle if you make this rookie error like myself which is delightful and the staff are amazing too.

The bed (bed linen / pillowcases): exceptionally fresh and clean - spotlessly so. As was the room (including the bathroom) generally - the room was really nice. The hotel has a nice, pleasant atmosphere in a lovely and peaceful part of Scotland - start from Aberfoyle to get to either end of Loch Katrine, including starting at one end of 'Duke's Pass' at Aberfoyle to get to the Trossachs Pier end of the loch (the 7-mile 'Three Lochs Forest Drive' is between these two points and is well worth a detour, as are 'The Lodge' & the Go Ape adventure activities hub (the last two are about a mile up the Duke's Pass hill from Aberfoyle's main road)). There's the NCR 7 for cyclists. The hotel is also a few miles from the Lake of Menteith, which is very serene and a favourite place of mine. The staff were really nice, friendly and helpful.

Nothing I can think of.

We requested to be supplied with packed lunches in place of breakfast- request was fulfilled without issue. Room was clean, pleasant and spacious. Shower room was modern, very clean and spacious. Although the hotel was very busy, the corridors and our room were quiet and peaceful. The hotel is a short drive or 15 minute walk from the village of Aberfoyle.

The mattress on the bed could have been more comfortable- it was a bit too firm.

The staff were nice and helpful .the food was good nice comfy bed

The long walk to the restaurant and bar from my room.i did request a ground floor room as near to the reception as possible and was reassured that they had reserved one for me. The room we got was nearly in the second building not good for me and motability issues.

Excellent location, with friendly and efficient staff. Made us and our dog very welcome Good choice for.both breakfast and evening meal and the food was well cooked and tasty. Would definitely recommend

The hotel looks a bit rundown and off-putting from the outside and could do with a coat of paint to freshen it up.

Large room, nice staff - especially in the restaurant, and plenty of parking.

The hotel is a popular stopping place for many different coach tours, so the bar could be very busy in the evenings. The walk into Aberfoyle is around a mile, and very pleasant on a nice day, but not so much in the rain.

Breakfast was lovely, very good quality products and a fast efficient service, waitress was lovely and seemed surprised when we tipped her , I'm hoping more people appreciate how hard hospitality staff work. We had a lovely stay and are booked to return in August. Janey Sinclair

We would have loved entertainment on the Sunday night but it was quieter, that said the entertainment on Saturday night was amazing and we enjoyed the show
