Breakfast lovely, reception staff brilliant

So my only gripe was I returned back from the Bruce Springsteen concert i was hungry. I was asking bar staff about room service and food and they were a bit off border line arrogant when asking questions about food. Anyway, ordered a Sandwich to the room. Just lets say it didnt match expectations. Basically on stale bread, made by bar staff. And £9. Anyway, it was awful. But told reception the next morning and the charge was removed. Anyway, i think the hotel shouldnt service food if not made by a chef. And because it was sorted i have decided to stay again. Booked for several friends for the Betfred Masters at the end of June.

We stayed over the weekend to celebrate a friends birthday and have to say everything was lovely. All staff I came accross were super friendly and polite, the manager was very visible at all times and personally I liked that he was so present and also very helpful offering help when he saw it may be needed. Breakfast was nice a general hotel buffet but plenty of it and it was kept topped up and I liked that there was an overflow breakfast room as well so no waiting around for a table. We had the carvery dinner, it was a standard selection no complaints dessert options were lovely and very tasty. Overall a great stay and I’d definitely go back.

Brilliant location, quiet, efficient and friendly greeting and check in. Bedroom comfortable, yes, single beds still exist! There are modern sockets with USB. Top marks to the breakfast room manager for quickly opening up another room when the main room filled up and a queue developed. Good basic breakfast with additional choices on the menu. Parking really close. Superb rooms for bar and dining. Excellent staff service. They are a major asset.

Although lovely bathroom, the toilet is inexplicably close to the wall (148) and a bit difficult to use the throne. Basin tap very poor stream and basin slow to drain. Could do with a grab handle to help getting in and out of the shower/bath. Lower shower fitting has lost its cladding and cuts off the spray. Bedroom pretty good but could do with a power socket at the bedside.

Staff made this stay memorable. Family business and it shows. Everyone from reception through breakfast and spa to housekeeping was outstanding. Recently installed EV charge points (7kW, bring your own type2 cable) not mentioned in property details yet but did the job overnight very conveniently for a price. Pool is lovely.

Superior rooms once were, but looking a bit tired and dated. You could call it character, all very clean but needs an update soon. The breakfast room is small for the size of the property and we had to wait 15 min as we happened to arrive at peak, unlucky but maybe slot booking would ease pressure?

Set in beautiful quiet surroundings, opposite a golf course and easy to find. Room fairly small, good shower though, bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits. Buffet breakfast was excellent, good selection of cereals, fruit, juices and cooked breakfast with lots of choices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Taxis ordered by reception were very good value.

Just a minor complaint the plug in the very small basin hadn’t been taken out and cleaned for a long time!

I am Extremely Unhappy. I booked this hotel as it had SPA facility, which in fact was stated on the Hotel booking. The only way you could use the facility is to pay additional £ 10. When chalenging Receiption Manger I was tald. When booking through BOOKING .COM Spa facilities are charged as extra. If booked direct than there is NO charge. SO LET IT KNOWN, I WILL NOT USE BOOKING .COM Why pay more?? Thanks you for your past services and your recent 10% offer R8ZY9MSJKPY NO MORE good by !!!

Room service continental breakfast could be booked for a bit later 9.30 -10 am. Michelle insisted on carrying my suitcase to the car for me. Felt comfortable having a meal and drink in the lounge bar on my own. Very helpful ladies on reception and in the pool area to advise on ise of robes, towels amd slippers. Enjoyed a nice swim. Able to have breakfast with the family wbose wedding I had veen to the day before in the Braceshire suite.

Had low water pressure in my bedroom on Thursday morning so could not have a hot shower. The smell of meat in the Country Kitchen restaurant. Very repulsive for vegetarians. I would not want to eat in there because of the smell. No lift to get to room which was not a problem on this occasion

Room was nice, staff were friendly. Michele who served us in the sandeman bar was so lovely and friendly. Gym was a good size and had a wide range of equipment.

The bathroom was quite dated, shower head needed replacing as the streams were facing all different ways and you got squirted in the face by some of it. Breakfast is only served till 9:30am on week days which we felt was quite early for the type of hotel and location.

The decor inside looked very dated and there is an odour around the main staircase which I suspect dates back to the days when smoking was allowed. The shower had quite a bit of mould around the tray and there could have been more milk for the hot drinks. We were in room 280 and I thought it was a little on the small side for similar priced/rated rooms I have stayed in.

The staff were really helpful and friendly, garden walk are a must really peaceful and lovely, lovely hotel we did not use spa.

Breakfast was dried up as self service, rooms were very dim needed lights on at 3pm, other guest were noisey banging doors at 1-2 am no respect for other guests, one couple were arguing very loudly while walking down hall way bad language was used spoilt our sleep. BUT NOT HOTEL FAULT.
