My Mum and myself stayed at Drayton Manor Resort as we were attending one of their Christmas party events with family. There was plenty of free parking outside the hotel. You take a ticket at the barrier, then at reception the staff provide you with free parking. On arrival, we found the staff to be very informative and friendly. The hotel looked inviting and clean. We were given a handout with the information on also which was useful for Wi-Fi details plus other things. We had a room with 2 twin beds plus a fold out bed. The room was very clean, well presented, spacious, ample room for 3 people for sure. The room was brilliant. All the amenities you could need were in the room, we did not need for anything. The bathroom was spacious, clean, had ample space for toiletries for multiple people, huge mirror – no complaints at all. In the room there was 2 mirrors, one full length one which was ideal when getting ready for our Christmas party. Loads of side space and storage for personal items. Plenty of electric sockets and lighting in ideal places. We had a fridge in our room which we were able to fit full size bottles of drinks inside. Thermostat in the room with AC. Beds were comfortable. We had a very comfortable stay, one of the best overnight stays I’ve had in the UK. In the morning we went for breakfast which was included in our room price. We booked our time slot on their website as suggested by the hotel, so we were able to sit down straight away, which I would advice as it was quiet busy, however this did not affect our experience. It was a buffet style help your self type breakfast setup, so you could have as much or as little of what ever you fancied which we really like. There was a great selection accommodating for everyone with hot and cold options. We did not attend with children, but what they offer for families around Christmas time looked amazing.

We were very impressed with the hotel and we cannot think of anything we did not like.

The room was nice and very quiet - great.

Dinner was very poor. You must place your order at the bar, OK, I understand. Short staff. But they forgot to bring cutlery with the steak I ordered. The steak wasn't the one on the menu, but there's no way to prove that. Another situation with an invoice for the stay. Apparently, it was sent to an email address. I never found it and this situation is happening again. I asked for a printout at the reception and I heard a lot about the environment. I suggest looking for environmental protection elsewhere than on one printed invoice. I stay in this hotel because finding another one in the area is difficult. But if there are other options, this hotel will not be my first choice.

I liked the whole experience. A very polite and helpful receptionist met me and my wife on arrival and explained the facilities available, including how to ensure we got good booking times for the free breakfasts and confirming that car parking was free for hotel guests. Our Executive Room on the third floor was clean and comfortable with ample complimentary tea and coffee for our stay. The shower was very powerful and the water temperature could turn up as hot as you liked. We stayed for two nights and as a sustainability bonus the hotel offers £5 to spend in the bar if you go without room cleaning after your first night's stay. Also the bar and room menu suited our needs and we ordered good value food and drink to eat in our room during the evening.

There could perhaps be more availability to dine in the restaurant as it seemed to book up quickly and early evening bookings were in short supply.

All staff were very welcoming, friendly and couldn't have done more to meet our needs. The buffet for both breakfast and dinner was great and very accessible. The children's entertainment in the evening was brilliant and was a lovely addition.

We upgraded to a dome room so our son could experience the Thomas room. Unfortunately this did not meet our expectations or the price tag; the floor in the bathroom was cracked, the room key failed to work on several occasions and the room itself seemed a bit tired and unkept. Also, as it was a room designed for children to stay in, it would have been nice for a few toys to be in there as well. The food throughout the weekend was a bit basic and bland and could have been better. Especially the sausages at breakfast!

The location to to the park was spot on. Room and bathroom where big and decorated nicely. The ladies on reception where very friendly.

We tried to book directly with the hotel, and where kept on hold for 40mins and then hung up on. Which meant we booked through booking.con and then didn’t get the stay and play early access to the park. We emailed the hotel and never got a reply. The pillows where awful and meant we had a poor nights sleep. Booking breakfast was also a faff. I also ordered a Diet Coke and was given a full sugar coke which I didn’t realise and my diabetes sugar levels shot through the roof.

It is a great location for visiting Drayton Manor theme park. A visit by Sir Topham Hatt to our breakfast table each morning was really enjoyable for my two boys. Staff at reception were very helpful. Food was tasty and our room was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay

Coming from Birmingham International you can get a train from Birmingham New Street to Tamworth and a taxi from the train station to Drayton Manor which I believe is the easiest and cheapest way to get here if you have no car.

Unexpected surprise. Used this as a location near to NEC, which was great and around 20 minutes drive. The room was larger than anticipated, clean, comfortable. The restaurant served a good selection of food and it was hot. Breakfast was plentiful in choice. Staff were all very friendly and happy, which created a lovely atmosphere. As there were a lot of children around (school holidays), we were offered tables away from the main throng, so a little quieter which was very accommodating.

I was so impressed with my stay here. I stayed for business without realising it was a themed adventure hotel, but I have to say, it was one of the best serviced business hotels I've stayed in for years. I travel so much and stay in so many hotels I had almost forgotten what it was like to have staff be so proactively helpful. In the reception area, my colleague and I were trying to work out where we would have a business meeting in the morning. The girl at reception, completely unbidden, interjected to ask what were we looking for, and found us a meeting room for the morning, no hassle or bother made of it, like it was so perfectly normal these days to be proactively helpful. Following morning, a different lady at reception... just as helpful. And then when my colleague joined me for breakfast (I point out, my colleague who wasn't staying at the hotel), I dont eat breakfast but it was included, and he wanted to get breakfast. Could you imagine in any other hotel trying to sort that out!! :-) No issue... the person at breakfast said, no problem, he can have your breakfast. Later in the morning, after meetings, again without asking, I was told, if I needed coffee, just help myself. I really can't understate how all these little things made this such a pleasant business stay. I'm just so used to being met with indifference in hotels these days, this stay was a breath of fresh air. Thank you very much for such a great hotel experience.

Room excellent. Breakfast ok.

But the dinner was a complete "rip off!" Never, in my 77 years, have I been offered a plate of pate like that served here. Without any exaggeration there were two one-inch "blobs" of soft pate on a large plate looking forlorn inside 4 "spots" of red sauce and a sprinkle of cress. And two small pieces of toasted ciabatta. Absolutely disgraceful for the price of £6.75. No attempt at dressing the plate. No salad. And the dinner. although tasty resembled a MacDonalds.

The reception was decorated with birthday Thomas banners and my son was blown away with excitement. All the staff at the hotel were amazing but 2 ladies stood out for me. The lady at reception who checked us in and a lady cleaning the outside grounds. The lady cleaning the grounds was extremely friendly and spoke to my son about Donald and Daisy Duck who were residents of the hotel. The breakfast was beautiful and had lots to choose from. Being able to see the theme park from our window was a big bonus for my son.

The outdoor play area was a bit of a let down as it was extremely limited and during busy periods I can imagine there would be a lot of disappointment children who wouldn’t get a chance to play on the equipment. The bedding wasn’t overly soft and looked worn out and ready for the bin.
