Globe Inn

The location was excellent and very easy to find, especially after a long day of travelling. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much bother to them. For most of the weekend, we had a young fella called Adam looking after us, and he went over and beyond to ensure that all 12 of us were all looking after. Nothing was too much for especially when it came to our breakfast choices. Adam, you were fabulous, and we all wanted to bring home to Northern Ireland with us!!! Check-in was quick and easy with Adam looking after me to sort out all the 8 rooms, which can be a pain to sort!! The food was excellent, with a wide range for breakfast and as much toast as you wanted!! We had dinner on the first night and it was lovely and we really wished we had booked for the second night as the food was so nice!! Rooms were clean and comfortable, and everyone commented on the shower and said the pressure was great and really warm!! The girls loved the hairdryer and said their hair was dried in minutes compared to other hairdryers in other hotels. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would come back in a heartbeat, especially as the bar had the Ireland vs. England rugby match on (it was a great atmosphere!!)

Great location. Friendly staff. The room was brilliant, very clean, very comfortable bed, great size shower room and lovely touches of shower gel/shampoo/hand wash etc. The room smelled so clean & fresh....even the walk along the corridors to our room was lovely because the whole place was so clean...I'm not sure what air freshener they're using but it smells ace!!! We liked it so much were going to stay there next time instead of with the competition. 24 hour access to go in and out as we pleased. We got parked right next to the hotel and it was free from 4.30pm.

Cant think of any downsides other than the view from our window wasn't the best!

paid for the full traditional breakfast, the staff were very accommodating as I changed/ swapped out a few items as I don't eat eggs or bacon. The food was tasty and good value for the money. Only £10, Fresh orange juice and a pot of tea, all items cooked well and a hearty portion, plus a good choice if you wanted something lighter. Ample parking which is next to the hotel and free between 16.30 pm and 9.30 am.

Although there is a TV it is not a smart TV in the room. No fan or air condition in the room (it was very hot the night I stayed, 23 deg externally)

The food was so nice I'd liked to of taken the cheff home . The bar staff was excellent and bed staff brilliant. Compfy and relaxing great place to stay indeed

The parking with a great building like it is and it's local history of Tamworth they should buy the car park next door or give the residents of the hotel a parking slip so they can enjoy it more and not having to spend 4.50£ a day where they have anuff car parks around the town then this would make it a better place even if they build an extension on the side for out door for the ppl or building a garden to relax in simply simples really

Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice (not included in room rate), room and ensuite was clean. The location was just outside of the immediate town centre but only a short walk away. Adjacent car park was handy (not included with booking)

Room was small, but as a single traveller ok. Biggest headache was the noise from the function room downstairs (wedding receptions) - the noise carried - although to be fair the music did stop at about 11pm each night.

I booked on the spur of the moment so I could meet some friends. This is essentially a pub with accommodation. I asked for a quiet room and I found myself away from almost all noise which was good. Check in was In the bar and I was assured that all noise stopped at 11. My room was quiet , clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large and clean . This is not an expensive room , in fact you might call it a little basic but for my needs it was perfect. One small point , at no time was I sure if breakfast was included. Could be my fault as I was in a rush . It turns out that for a small extra charge, that breakfast was available but I needed to get home. I would return as the toom offered me what I need for a reasonable price in a central location.

What's not to like at the price and location

Rooms although a little dated were spotlessly clean and well equipped. Ideal having the bar area downstairs if you are travelling alone and want some space from the room. Beds are very comfortable. Staff super friendly and helpful!

If you’re a light sleeper the walls are very thin so can hear other room noise but didn’t bother me. No air conditioning or fan. Ok at this time of year but in the summer I can’t imagine it would be too comfortable.

For the price I paid the room was very good! l'Il definitely be back!

Unfortunately, it's near a nightclub, so you can hear that in the evening (I stayed on a Saturday and I was the closest room to it). It wasn't a massive drama for us as we slept through it. However, it's food for thought. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even though the cleaner walked in on us in bed in the morning! I Reccomend staying here for anyone travelling in the area.

Location, 24 hour access, the rooms are nicely decorated and it appears to have had a bathroom makeover since i last stayed here. Very modern facilities. Everything working as expected. Always my go to hotel when staying in Tamworth. Thos os about my 7th or 8th time now. Will always come back here when its available and recommend to anyone. Much better than the more expensive chain hotels!

Nothing stands out. Everything is pretty good here. Maybe just a little cleaner in the room but for me everything was really good.

The staff absolutely raised this place to another level. Nothing was too much trouble. Claire deserves a BIG shout out. She guided us through a moderate medical concern, explaining how NHS works. The bar is welcoming and the suppers are very good. I was just sad we hadn't had a few extra nights. Globe very nicely placed in town if you are on foot too.
