the location ideal for us and parking available. The pub seemed great atmopshere and very popular and spaces indoor and out to eat and drink - ( we didnt eat or drink as had done already) lovely pretty village. sink in room, TV and kettle with supplies great. Shared toilet/shower but that no problem and clean

on a friday night there was noise from a group of people sat on a bench to early hours - i slept through noise but hubby didnt. The room is dated and random selection ornaments /pictures but was very clean except for bed valance . A relatively cheap makeover- fresh paint , one picture, new flooring and blind would make the room so much better (use ikea for inspiration)

Really friendly staff throughout our 3 night stay. Regularly asked if we needed anything, towels, tea coffee for the room. Breakfast was great, good quality produce served on piping hot plates 👍🏻 Good choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Lovely old building with plenty of character. Nice courtyard with plenty of seating. Music played throughout all day - not loud.

Only downside is the shared bathroom, however it was always clean. That said I believe there are sinks in the three rooms so brushing teeth etc was possible.

During the booking I did not ask the questions I should have done. This Pub was very good and the staff in terms of customer satisfaction were superb but the accommodation is limited with NO rooms with on suite bathrooms. The bathroom, (toilet and shower is down the hall!) all rooms up stairs. Walking in at night the ambience can be felt and everyone was welcoming, the staff deserve thanks for their customer service but the fact that the pub is classed as Grade 1 means that improvements, for instance double glazing etc are impossible to make.

Grade 1 property, recently refurbished. Facilities adequate if fit. If disabled difficult.

The breakfast was excellent. All staff were lovely and very welcoming. The beer garden was very nice. The general feel of the pub and the attitude, behaviour and friendliness of the regular customers was great too.

The usual evening menu was a bit dull and not great value for money, all microwave and deep fat fryer food. The pub could have been a little bit cleaner, i.e. sticky tables (not the dining tables) and smell of off beer in the entrance hallway.

The staff were great and very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were lovely and was lovely to sit out in the beer garden. Was decent value for money but I think the price of breakfast should be included in the room price.

We found a packet of condoms in our room which must have been from the previous people who stayed in the room. The rooms are quite dated and could do with being redecorated. When we come down for breakfast in the morning the tables were still dirty from the previous day so hadn't been cleaned. The double bed for me and my friend to stay in was also very small so I ended sleeping on the sofa.

The location was perfect as I wanted to visit the nearby National Arboretum for an Army function. It is also an old English type Public House and restaurant with full character. The room is small but after all it is a Pub and not a Hotel But it was very ,clean tidy and had all the necessary things like tea coffee and plenty towels. Also TV.

Not a complaint as such as could live with it. The shower in the bath room was cold.

Comfortable bed, towels and toiletries provided, great full English breakfast and central location in pretty village. Very friendly and accommodating landlord and wife, offered to provide a meal when arriving late after work (after 10.00). Well kept ale.

My personal preference is for private facilities but they only had a shared bathroom as advertised so knew what to expect. Other than that, nothing not to like.

The bedroom was large, bed comfortable, basin in room, shower room and toilet down the corridor. Evening meal was very tasty, good choice, and the full English breakfast was perfect. Good coffee, too. The Inn had a nice vibe, friendly helpful staff, especially the Manager who drew a little map for us on a query we had for our journey. Only one thing perhaps to mention: it's not a complaint, but more to advise, steep stairs to upstairs bedrooms, not suitable for someone with mobility problems. Other than that, a very comfortable stay in a delightful village.

Nothing!

Breakfast was brilliant, all I needed. It was a very comfy bed

A pity I did not notice shared bathroom before booking . I would not have booked. Marston's, do something about it! That needs to be changed and quickly. Great staff with a warm welcome. Strong language in the bar from a young girl specifically. I suspect she is local. Later, a group of men turned up and the problem was revisited.

The staff were very happy and helpful. The landlord offered me a lift in his car to the National Memorial Arboretum, which was not walkable, and to me, above and beyond what I would have expected. The meals were excellent. The room was warm and cozy. Alrewas is a nice quiet friendly village.

The very steep stairs to the landing where my room was located.
