Rooms were really lovely, fluffy towels folded on the bed on arrival with toiletries laid out. Comfy bed, duvet and pillows. Coffee facilities with flapjacks set out on the side. They didn't do food (not that we were there for that anyway) but in the room there was numerous takeaway/ restaurant menus in a little folder. We had a problem with our sink but it was sorted straight the way and they even gave me a safety pin which I'd forgotten. Little things go a long way with me. They had definitely taken the time to think about the rooms eg decor, as ours was very well done, especially the bathroom. We didn't drink in the pub as was there for a wedding but it's a shame the pub wasn't as nice as the rooms as maybe we would have done beforehand. Thanks to the owners for accommodating us.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable with air conditioning in the rooms. There was also a separate entrance into the accommodation area, which meant we could come and go as we pleased without walking through the pub downstairs. This was helpful as we had an elderly couple and also 2 children with us.

The stairs to the accommodation were quite steep. It would have been nice to have a full-length mirror in the bedroom. The fan in one bathroom took a very long time to stop off once the light was switched off.

Excellent facilities in the apartment room I booked and extremely good value for money for what was provided. Biggest, fluffiest towels I've experienced in any hotel whatever the star rating. Heating/Air conditioning system worked very well, cold February weather and room warmed quickly. Well equiped Kitchenette very useful. TV's for both bed and sofa. Good size shower with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Fantastic size bed albeit quite firm.

Apartment in very good order, modern and clean apart from the fridge, which I think had been accidentally missed by cleaner because there were a couple of items left from previous occupancy and the rest of the apartment, as I say, was clean and in good order. Be aware that breakfast wasn't available at the premises if that is important for you.

Stayed for one night after a wedding at mythe barn - perfect location to stay . Taxi to the Wheatsheaf £12 at midnight . Very helpful staff sent taxi numbers pre stay . The pub itself is a typical town pub but the accommodation above is a very high standard . Comfortable beds / lovely clean linen and fluffy towels - huge walk in shower . Perfect for our stay . Getting in at night is a little difficult - very dark , which the staff warned us about - and looked quite seedy ! Luckily our stay made up for that !

The Wheatsheaf is a busy community pub which had Karaoke on when we stayed. The rooms are up past the loos which may not be the best introduction, but when you are beyond them and into the upstairs everything is quiet and well-appointed. Our room was compact but had everything that we needed including an excellent en suite shower and a comfortable bed. It was dark and peaceful. Towels were large and fluffy. lots of toiletries and everything very clean. We parked free in the Aldi carpark all of about 20 metres away.

The room was pretty cold and we couldn't get the aircon to blast out some heat - but that may well have been incompetence rather than a mechanical failure.

The room was well thought out and clean. Loved the air conditioning. And although was linked to a pub was very quiet.

The Internet wasn't connected to the TV so couldn't watch Netflix (not really a biggy) Couldn't cancel my 2nd night as change of plans meant wasn't needed so paid £130 for 2 night and only used one as my dad couldnt make it to use it either tried to change check out date but wouldn't let me. Would have been worth the £65 a night if included breakfast

The arrangement was 'room only' which was quite satisfactory as the welcome tray was well stocked and I only have a small breakfast. I stayed there on two occasions awaiting the completion of the legal work on a house. There are other cafes nearby where I would assume one would find a good breakfast. It is the intention I believe for the owners to re-introduce food at a future time so it would be worth enquiring. The hotel is well located in Long Street which is the main street of Atherstone which is well supported with lots of smaller privately owned shops. There is a popular supermarket very conveniently placed and another close to that one nearby; the latter has a good cafe. I particularly liked the friendliness of the owner and staff - an excellent team that are always happy to please and also the regulars in the pub - very friendly which seems to be a characteristic of this part of the country. I really enjoyed my two stays at this hotel and would have no hesitation in returning if need be, vacancies permitting. The Wheatsheaf would be my 1st choice. There was no traffic noise from the main street. My room had been refurbished to a high standard and I believe that the others have also been refurbished. No complaints whatsoever.

There was nothing to dislike at the Wheatsheaf. I have mobility problems (I use a walking stick) and I would have preferred not to have had to climb one flight of stairs (only about 10/11) but given that my room was on the 1st floor of an old building I accepted that and was very grateful for the assistance so readily given by the staff when I had to carry anything and I particularly appreciated the regulars who would always hold a door open to make life easier for their fellow men. I have a Blue Badge that enabled me to reach the front door of the hotel and take advantage of short term parking in the main street. There is plenty of public car parking in the vicinity.

the rooms very clean good decor very comfortable bed offered twin beds for my sons great shower and great selection of tea and coffee

Additional charges to use iron and pub itself needs to now invest in decor downstairs to match standard in rooms and pay attention to cleanliness of pub toilets. perhaps remind people if booking over pub on Saturday night potential for music to be playing late into evening.

The facilities are very modern and clean. It has great access to local shops and the high street. There is a cheap £3 a day carpark right nearby. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It even has a hob in the room so you can cook your own breakfast

Check out was a little earlier than I would have liked but apart from that it’s great!
