Bryn Meadows Golf, Hotel & Spa

The room was lovely, spacious and clean. The spa was really relaxing and not too overcrowded. We had some lunch which was really tasty. Good amount of parking. We arrived early, and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. The location is beautiful.

Drinks were expensive. Would have been nice to have a dressing gown and slippers in the room. Breakfast was a shambles. Ordered a vegetarian breakfast. A traditional meat breakfast arrived. My friend had finished hers by the time mine came. It wasn’t very nice at all. The glasses near the juice counter were dirty with lip stick marks on.

Bed and pillows extremely comfortable, the decor in the rooms are spotless but a little outdated, bathroom the same spotlessly clean but dated. Main public rooms were fab and the fairways suite is beautiful. The view from Blas is exceptional. We didn't use the facilities on this occasion but they are very good. We have used the Spa and pool on another visit. Lovely breakfast good choices and was hot. Plenty of food to eat and coffee to help yourself we had full English with toast but there was continental if you preferred that nice pastries too but I was full from the full English.

There wasn't much that we didn't like, but if there is room for improvement it was the bar in Fairways suite, not enough staff and the queue was huge at least 40 deep at one point my husband went to the bar in the hotel it was quicker. Prices are a bit steep too and there was no ice!! Major problem there. But in saying this the enjoyment of the night/wedding was wonderful. The staff should have left the centre pieces until the room was cleared before removing them when the night was still going too, I thought that was a bit strange.

Lovely room, very comfortable. Front desk staff were very welcoming and pleasant to chat to. The spa facilities were clean and adequate.

It would have been nice to have hair conditioner in the spa showers, especially in the ladies changing rooms. The breakfast buffet was sparse when we came for breakfast at 9:15 and remained so until I asked for it to be restocked around 9:30. Once done so, there was a delicious choice. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and although our mains were lovely our starters were lacking. The little piggy was over cooked, so much so that the egg yolk at the centre was like a little rubber ball which bounced on my place when I tried to cut it (I left it). The calamari was such a poor portion (the rings cut too finely) that the only taste was batter. However, the rest of the meal was fine and the staff were pleasant and it didn’t really affect our stay so it’s not really a complaint.

Great location with beautiful views, Food was to a really good standard with the exception of the steak and ale pie (steak was a little tough) but everything else on the plate was good. The room I had 104 was a little dated and the poor Wi-Fi made it difficult to carry out emails etc. but the bed was extremely comfortable. Really liked having use of the facilities and would recommend the hotel to others.

The room could do with a facelift and maybe some signal boosters for the Wi-Fi and that is all.

Lovely hotel and spa. The staff were really helpful and accommodating, and from the conversations I overheard they clearly get a lot of regulars staying. My partner and I used the spa facilities which were clean and varied enough for a quick visit. The dinner was excellent, and I have a gluten allergy which they catered to really well, a number of good options and gf bread . Overall I would stay again if visiting south Wales.

The breakfast buffet could have been better as the cereal area was quite messy and didn't have a lot for the number of people staying so the staff had to try and restock as fast as it was going, but they did do a cooked breakfast which came out hot and fresh

Breakfast time I help myself with a coffee ,my little boy have a cornflakes, After 30 minute lady come up to take order for main breakfast-they forgot about us But nex day was some someone come After while And ask if somebody take our order for breakfast . I think waitress On Breakfast should more care about the customers. Hotel everything was beautiful, I have lovely bedroom with beautiful view -Patio❤️ my boy can play outsi'd whatever time his want. Evening meals was very nice and pleasant , Enjoy all meals what I have there. Only one minus in this hotel was breakfast every thing else was PERFECT 🥰

Staff from reception was lovely very nice and friendly They make my stay very welcome.

The staff were exceptional. So helpful and surpassed my expectations. The gentleman server was professional but still chatty, extremely helpful, and really made us feel welcome. The staff in the Golf shop and bar were excellent, they went out of their way for us when they didn't have to, and made us feel at home! The man on reception was also exceptional, very professional but lovely and again made us feel so welcome. It was also on the night of a wedding and it was extremely busy but nevertheless we were made to feel special

I just think there ought to be menus for room service in the rooms,no tv instructions in the room you couldn’t get menu for tv channel.When you pressed on the menu for the facilities at the place it just kept going to channels that you had to search through.They also forgot sanitary bags in the bathroom.Only little things as apart from that everything was great 😊 Forgot to take photos of the views🤦‍♀️

The room was beautiful and the staff were exceptionally friendly, professional and helpful. The pool was lovely with great facilities in the changing area. The restaurant has exceptional views and the service is amazing. They even helped me surprise my husband with a birthday cake.

There were a few bugs in the bath, which was quite small. There was a loose piece of metal on the door base which cut my daughter's foot, but the staff were efficient and helpful to us with some basic first aid.

Plenty free parking. Large bed and well equipped rooms, replenished everyday by house keeping. Great food/bar (breakfast & dinner), excellent, friendly and professional staff. Fabulous facilities with gym and spa area. Lockers, towels and lovely clean pool, jacuzzi, sauna etc Fantastic location for walking/hiking etc or visiting Wales. Caerphilly castle pretty awesome and nearby. So much to see & do in the area but hotel was a fabulous value for money short break.
