Very friendly people.Even people in the bar included us as if we were friends.Clare & Neil were perfect hosts, hardworking genuinely nice people.Lovely breakfast, very nice room with all supplies,even a fridge.

Nothing important.Just that the bed was a little low for me & my partner but we are 5’10 &6’1 so wouldn’t be a problem for less tall (and fat!) people.Also if you were staying for longer than 2or 3 days you may struggle with hanging space but there are plenty of drawers.

The place was spotlessly clean and the owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Bedding and towels were new and our bed and pillows comfortable. Plenty of toiletries on offer in our room with tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge. Fantastic shower. A great place to explore the area or use for a visit to Mertha. Plenty of parking and absolutely fantastic food. Menu was extensive, reasonably priced and portions huge. Breakfast was amazing. Although the pub part was quite busy with friendly locals at times, by the mid/late evening all was quiet. We will definitely stay again.

Tiny improvements would be welcome - in our room 5, we would have liked a bedside light on both sides of the bed and a soap dish in the shower.

I enjoyed staying at the Antelope hotel, I was there only for one night but it was exactly what I needed. Personally the location worked well for me, the bus stop is right in front of the hotel and there are buses to Rhymney and Merthyr Tydfil. You can have food at the hotel but there are also a Chinese Take away at opposite side of the hotel. There's also a few convenient shops around if you need anything else. The room was clean and tidy, it had everything that I needed for the night. Loved the staff as well, so friendly and helpful. Easy check in and out, staff made it easy for the guests what I really liked. Looking forward to stay again with the Antelope Hotel next time I need to go the area.

We liked the accessible location and the generous car park. The room was freshly decorated and had a lovely woman's touch. Not to be confused with 'too girly". The bed was clean and comfortable, the shower was adequate with hot water. The breakfast was plentiful and cooked perfectly. The owners were really friendly and made us feel very at home and comfortable. The bar had a buzzing athmosphere and generally, it was a good stay. Location wise, we were half an hour drive from the peaks in the Beacons. Also the town centre was very convenient for shopping and pubs, only 10 minutes away.

There was an ocasional noise in the room, probably from the beer coolers in the bar. Did not interrupt our sleep though. The tinned tomatoes at breakfast could easily be replaced with half a grilled tomatoe maybe and also the sausages with better quality ones.

The property was well presented and absolutely spotless in shared and room areas. It had all the amenities I required and even had a personal refrigerator in our room. The welcome and care to guests by the hosts was exceptional and the breakfast choice matched any 5 star property we have stayed at previously.

Nothing, the bar and breakfast room were well presented and there was a tv if guests wished to have tv or music during their meals. Even outside there were lots of seats and tables for guests to use.

Everything was amazing, the hosts were so welcoming, the room, bar, atmosphere, food and prices were all fantastic. Claire and Neil were so helpful, and a good laugh! I had not done enough research on getting into the Brecons as it was a last minute trip, but they did not hesitate to help me and made my whole weekend an easy & enjoyable one. They even went out of their way to ensure I had breakfast-to-go as I had to leave early for my trip into the Brecons. I will be back very soon.

Nothing, all was great

I had a single room which was simple, straight forward & spotlessly clean. Great shower with plenty of powerful hot water. Wifi in the room was non existent, but wasn't a problem for me. Superb freshly cooked breakfast. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Was woken by other guests coming & going in the hallway early in the morning so maybe bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. All in all though I had a lovely stay and was excellent value.

For some, maybe the non existent wifi would be a problem, but wasn't for me.

Claire and Neil were exceptional hosts and went the extra mile with my elderly mother who gets confused in hotels nowadays. They were flexible with arrival times and mother's unpredictable ways...outstanding customer service.

I had slight reservations about the public car park at the rear, as I was in a vehicle with lots of kit on board. But this was quickly resolved by Neil, who arranged for parking behind locked gates for me. There are probably no issues, but it gave me piece of mind whilst in a strange town.

Room was clean and bright, breakfast choice was excellent. Owners very cheerful and attentive. Good outside patio area with plenty of covered and open air seating. The owners do food in the evening, and there is an excellent Indian, and a chip shop within 2 minutes walking. Good access via car to Asda and Lidl 5 minutes away.

Lack of storage, knew about this from my previous stays, so adapted by leaving some stuff in my holdall and some in the car boot.

Really friendly and helpful owners and the room was clean, comfortable and had some bonus features like mini fridge and decent tea and coffee making. Breakfast was ace...great options and plenty of it. Just wish I'd remembered they do food evening meals too although there's no shortage of places to eat near by which I was well informed of. I went exploring every evening and there's lots of short interesting walks. Thanks for a Fab stay!
