Fantastic location in the center of Whitby, right by Grape Lane and the swing bridge, and a lovely character room at the top of a Tudor building with exposed oak beams. Ian the host met us with the keys and was very helpful. Don't forget to try the excellent pie and mash in the restaurant - this is Bed and pie, not bed and breakfast! Plenty of great breakfast places nearby - we used Mr Coopers Coffee shop opposite for great coffee and breakfasts

Nothing to do with the hosts, but do be aware that this is a very old building and there are steep narrow stairs to get to the room. You will also need to park in the public car park about 5 minutes walk away, but can usually unload outside (parking for 40 minutes is permitted if you can find a spot). Some noise from restaurant when it is open, but didn't bother us, and is quiet at night. This is information, not a criticism!

The location is perfect for a weekend, very central. The room was light and spacious, with a comfy bed and a very good shower. some toiletries were provided, also a hairdryer. everyone was very helpful, and although we didn’t eat in the pie shop, we brought a couple of delicious pies home with us at the end of the stay. I would highly recommend staying here!

It’s a very old building so the staircase is very narrow. It wasn’t a problem for us but if you have mobility problems, and/or a large suitcase it might be a bit challenging.

The location was excellent. The room and en suite bathroom were very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Light and airy. The parking was in a public car park which was a minute walk away. Tracy the lady that booked us in was so friendly nothing was too much trouble. She was fantastic. You also get your rations which are pie, peas, mash and gravy + a drink. The food is lovely i would definitely recommend it.

The only thing is the stairs, they are a bit narrow and not full steps. We managed them fine. It is on the website about them and we did get a phone call from the owner explaining about them. So for us it was not a problem maybe for some.

Lovely old and quirky, the room was fab we loved it, it was bigger than I thought, it is above the pie and mash shop, very clean light room and you actually get pie and mash every day which is absolutely delicious 😋 And all the staff were so lovely. Great location too...we can't wait to return !!! 🥰

Stairs may not suit some people as they are a little steep but we found them OK!

Wonderfully clean and comfortable property. Great communication before the stay. The room was nicely decorated and bathroom facilities were clean and excellent. Having pie instead of breakfast was great as we were already fans of the Pie and Mash Shop!

Was a warm room, but we always take a fan with us anywhere we stay but this didn’t detract from an excellent stay

The Little Pie in the Sky was so cute and a bit quirky. The en-suite room was a great size and lovely and clean with a very comfy bed. It was ideally situated for adventuring on either side of the bridge. The Little Pie in the Sky doesn't offer Bed and Breakfast, it provides Bed and Pie - for each night you stay you get such a delicious Pie (lots of different choices), Mash, Peas and Gravy meal, served in The HUMBLE PIE 'N' MASH Cafe, where Pie in the Sky is situated. Will most definitely visit again.

There was nothing to dislike.

Lovely clean and cosy room. Host very friendly. Ideally located for exploring Whitby. We had a great time. Pie and mash was great. We would thoroughly recommend this place.

Nothing really. The steps are steep but it's an old house so what do you expect? I think someone has already mentioned that the bathroom could do with a shelf/somewhere to put toiletries. Not a criticism just a suggestion?

Lovely warm welcome from Tracy who showed us to our room . The room was lovely warm and inviting with a beautiful feeling .Everything you could ask for and spotlessly clean . The rooms exposed beams really set the atmosphere to a warm peaceful nights sleep . We liked that you read about the history behind the building , what has been found when renovating and who had lived there before. 10/10

The central location was excellent, and the complimentary pie & mash meals were great. Very quaint and interesting room.

The bedding was not cotton and therefore was very hot and made sleeping uncomfortable, could do with a cabinet or shelf in the bathroom t put toiletries on. Also I think that the steep and narrow staircase is very difficult to use and should be mentioned on the website.
