Really enjoyed our stay....a few little things need to be fixed in the room, the door handle to the bathroom was lose, shower door didn't close properly, the toilet roll holder needs fixing, only 4 coat hangers so could do with a few more... but none of these things made our stay less enjoyable - we were at the front of the pub so there was noise, but again, that was only to be expected, I wear earplugs so didn't really hear it. The staff at the Granby are lovely, and if you want somewhere good to eat, I would definitely recommend trying the Roast dinners....it is better to book a table as it get very busy....the breakfast they do is very good too. I would definitely go back

Only one word can describe your hotel (( WOW )) . I will recommend my friends to visit your hotel. It's amazing and I got a view of Whitby abbey 😲 the only things I could say is the is a few little things that you could fix like the shower head holder, toilet seat and the bed made a few funny sounds but apart from that my stay was amazing. I would stop again but I'm moving over to your beautiful side of the country next Saturday but I will still come into your amazing pub and try some of your amazing food so many people told me the food in your pub is 10/10 so I will bring my wife next time. Thanks again for the amazing night

Fabulous family room, looked recently refurbished. Fab views, spotlessly clean, great size bedrooms, great bathroom & shower. Lovely little pub downstairs that does a fab breakfast at a great price. They do food all day & meals looked delicious. A really lovely little pub with lovely friendly staff, each one was so nice during our stay. We will definitely be staying here again, would highly recommend this hotel to everyone

Only downside is the parking can be difficult to park nearby. We were lucky to get a space 2 streets away, you need to get a parking scratchcard or you'll get a parking ticket

We didn't have breakfast, we were still too full from the excellent meal we had there the night before. Location was great, midway between all attractions, shops

The only thing we didn't like was the room was quite small. There was a double bed and a large sofa which took up too much space, it wasn't necessary. Also a bulky freestanding towel rail, also unnecessary as there was a heated towel rail in shower room. If these were removed the room would have a much better feel. Please note these aren't complaints, just suggestions. The room was nicely decorated and clean and tidy

Beds were very comfortable and spacious and there was a complimentary coffee tray that we didn’t partake in but thought was a very nice touch. We didn’t try the food in the pub downstairs but we thought it was very convenient to have such easy access to food and drink during the stay.

Unfortunately, the shower in the bathroom didn’t work, the toilet didn’t flush properly, and (possibly due to the age of the property) there was constant rattling noises coming from the door during the night that did keep us up. Also wouldn’t recommend to anyone who has trouble walking up large hills or many flights of stairs.

Warm friendly place to stay , met some lovely people enjoying a drink and meal. Even though there was entertainment at night on a Friday and Saturday this did not interrupt us in any way staying above the pub

Nothing even though the pub was busy the staff booked us in when we arrived even explaining to a customer they were just going to just book us in . Everything was ready for us to check in . Nice room

It was very clean. All the staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much for them . Meals served were large portions well worth the money

Nothing to not to like. We have enjoyed are stay.

nice position.not to far from the front.was clean.The barman was most helpful with our cases up stairs.

water not very powerful in shower.could have had bin emptied.but did not happen.with a seven day stay.

A Great location. We had a warm welcome with help to carry our bags up the 3 flights of stairs to our room. The room clean and an adequate size with an easy to use shower in the private bathroom. We had breakfast at the Hotel which was also to a good standard. We were also provided with a scratch card for £1 which covered our parking for 48hrs in a W zone parking space which we found close by.

Staff was brilliant.The gentleman behind the bar was very helpful,pleasant and nothing was to much trouble. Food was great! we had Sunday roast which was plenty there and was value for money. The room was lovely,clean,quite and plenty of tea,coffee and towels.Had a walk-in wardrobe which was a bonus for me.

Nothing everything was prefect for us.
