We have stayed in a lot of hotels and bed and breakfasts over the years, but none surpassed this lovely establishment. From the time we arrived to when we left we were treated like one of the family. We had the attic room which was extremely comfortable with lovely touches such as tea and coffee in little jars together with daily fresh milk and biscuits 😋 The bathroom was large and airy with fluffy towels, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The morning breakfast was extremely yummy with either full English or poached eggs and granary toast, fresh juices and fruit although I suppose Lucy would have accommodated you whatever you wanted. Our stay was throughly enjoyable I would truly recommend this incredible bed and breakfast to anyone.

Honestly, there is nothing to make a note of here. Everything was first class.

The room was cosy and comfortable, clean and really good view. The shower was great with lovely soap provided. Breakfast was fantastic, no complaints (but not used to loose leaf tea!). Location was fine for active walkers into Whitby Town. Room was quiet all night, only noise was from 8am when breakfast was starting downstairs.

Firstly, the weather was shocking on the day of our stay and was relentless rain which thoroughly soaked us through and made us feel pretty miserable which is not the fault of Mooredge but it did affect the TV. We felt the TV was a bit small and it would have been better to have a smart TV so that we could have more options, if we'd have known we would have brought a laptop. The pillow options were not great for me; one was too plump and hurt my neck, the other was a feather type and rustled all night. The light outside also comes through the blind and curtains which woke me early. I also tripped several times over the bed post because of a lack of space. These are nitpick things and mostly personal preference.

Loved everything about this b&b. Hosts were great, very friendly and accommodating and nice to chat to. Fantastic breakfast which set us up for all the walking we did. Had a lovely view of the countryside from our window at the back. Parking on the drive, but plenty on the road if needed. A lovely walk down to the town - 15 minutes max and easy enough unless any mobility issues. Actually liked the location as it was close to town, but far enough away to be nice and quiet after a packed harbour. Will definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone staying in Whitby.

There’s nothing we didn’t like, just wished we’d taken the dog with us - will next time! Another night would have been great too, but we were short on time.

Lovely homely and clean property. Nice view from the window and near to the castle where i was attending a wedding. The owners were lovely too, very accommodating and responsive to messages before our stay and very helpful throughout. The breakfast was really nice and freshly made to order. So happy i found this property and highly recommend it to anyone considering a stay here.

The room was very bright once the sun came up, i prefer the room to remain dark however this would not stop me returning or from recommending the property to others

Moorbridge is an absolute Gem. Our UK short stays are normally in hotels. This year Whitby hotel price for Steampunk Weekend were ridiculous. So we booked here and what an eye opener. From our arrival and greeting by Lucy & Brian, Moorbridge was a treat. The room was airy, beautiful, well equipped, comfortable. The tea/coffee making facilities was probably the best we have had in hundreds of hotels. The breakfast was Full English and large & excellent ( my wife couldn't finish hers ). Highly Recommended place to stay. And for us Pippin (the house dog) was icing on this cake.

Lucy and Brian were very welcoming. A very comfortable room, with a lovely view (which shouldn't have been a surprise, given the name of the B&B...). Tea, coffee, water, real milk, and biscuits were all provided in the room. The shower was nice and powerful. It was an easy (downhill) walk into town, with on-street parking right outside. The breakfast room was pleasant and spacious and there was a very good range of breakfast options.

There was nothing that we felt could be improved upon.

From the warm welcome offered by Lucy we knew we would enjoy our stay . The room was as pictured on the website , and was spacious, spotless and well presented, with a fabulous view . The bed was very comfy, bedding pristine, and the tea tray excellent, everything presented in Kilner jars. The en-suite was spotless with fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries . The breakfast choice was good and the food served was very tasty and piping hot . Highly recommend and can’t wait to return . I’ve already told friends and family . Thank you Lucy for sharing your beautiful home x

Beautiful b&b with a very warm welcome as soon as we arrived. Gorgeous views from our room window. We woke to noise of sheep and was perfectly located for a wedding we were attending. Breakfast was perfect and exactly what we needed with a variety of choice. This really was a home away from home, with a special welcome from the owner’s gorgeous pooch.

The only negative was the size of the bed. We are used to a king size and this was a double.

Fantastic B&B, Brian & Lucy were such great friendly & attentive hosts. The room was clean, bright, airy & had some great small but fantastic detail touches. The views from the windows were of the Abbey on the horizon & The Viaduct. The attention to detail was fabulous, and making sure any allergies with food were correctly addressed was very reassuring. My wife and I are looking forward to visiting Whitby again and will book Mooredge.

I wouldnt say I didnt like it, but as advice for anyone over 6ft is perhaps not to have the attic room. Although absolutely fine for me at 6ft, any taller & you might have to stoop in some parts.
