Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Birmingham / Bessemer

Breakfast was very nice. Our experience with all personnel was tremendous! An extra pleasant experience with the gal who checked us in. She was very friendly and accommodating. She made us feel at home.

In the 5 mornings that we ate breakfast the juice machine was out of order. We bought our own juice since nothing was offered in place of the broken machine, not even a gallon of orange juice. Early one of the mornings (before 7:00) they ran out of milk. We had planned to use the workout room and hot-tub. We were disappointed the the workout room was closed due to COVID. The pool area was opened but not heated, including the hot-tub. A cold hot tub was not appealing. The channel choice on the TV was very limited.

The Staff setting up the food was excellent, pleasant and always kept the food replenished. Had an assortment of breakfast food. Didn't realize there were so many condiments for the oatmeal.

We had no complaints whatsoever.

Had a hot breakfast included in the price and a wide variety of cold food too. Also coffee bar. Pool looked very nice though I didn’t get a chance to use it. I didn’t expect this so it was a nice surprise.

Parking lights shone into my room and curtains didn’t close. Next time I’ll think of a way to block the light. It wasn’t a huge inconvenience and I’ll still seek out this hotel again due to the amenities

The reception staff were very polite and engaging, especially the lady who told us each day yes! when my husband asked if the pool was open (even though we knew different), and grinned. They were also great getting our crowd hooked up with our grab and go's. It was close to grocery and restaurants, and very close to family we were visiting; maybe next visit the park/waterpark will be open.

Not the hotel's fault, but I really wish the hot tub and/or pool had been open. I understand CoViD safety is first and I appreciate it. I did not think about these closures but found out when I made an error booking and called to correct it. I also found out that breakfast was not served, but the hotel made grab and go. We were able to use these as snacks when we went to the zoo and to the park. The only problem I had was that all of that information could have been added to the website.

There has been time to update the website information, especially amenities. Like: the pool/spa is closed and there is no breakfast. Not sure about the fitness center. Access to these amenities are included in the room price and I found out when I made a mistake and tried to change it. Also, I contacted booking twice and was told to contact the hotel; then I contacted the hotel who told me to contact the third party I booked through...? Very clean. Property was close to families homes. Staff was friendly.

AC was extremely cold and We could not figure out how to adjust it. At Check in the receptionist did not inform me of the incidental charges and amount I would be charged per room. The hot tub was freezing cold and never warmed up which is one of the major reasons why I looked at this property.

the staff was very friendly. all of the amenities were accessible and working. the breakfast was great. no trouble getting the things I needed, such as extra towels, bedding for the sofa couch, etc

The breakfast selection was great, The staff was awesome. The area was so convenient for food, movies, ant theme park. The atmosphere was awesome for my family.

The forgot to clean our room one night and nor did we get towels. I didn't bother them because I know it was a busy time.

The hotel staff is excellent. The grounds around the hotel need to be manicured. There is a huge overgrown lot surrounding the hotel on all sides.

The interior of the hotel needs to be renovated. The furniture including beds, wall decor, and overall room decorum are dated.
