Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Clearwater Beach

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was great. The staff kept the dining room clean and the food stocked. Guest laundry was reasonably priced and clean. Shuttle service was wonderful; the drivers were all personable.

I didn't realize parking wasn't included with the stay. I also thought I booked a room with a balcony. This was no fault of the facility at all. There wasn't anywhere for us to hang beach towels to dry. The bathroom has the standard 2 hooks, we used for bath towels. I ended up using the dryers in guest laundry. It was fine, but not ideal. This was the only opportunity for improvement.

Our a/c went out. We had to change rooms. The golf cart is no longer available even though the state is open. Breakfast is a COVID version. The state is open!! Breakfast staff seem miserable. Couldn’t pay them to smile or be friendly. Same lady with short hair has been there since @ least June 2020. Same bad attitude. Short with people. This is our third year to stay at this hotel. We come ever June. 2022 we don’t plan to stay here.

Location was very good, view was excellent, room was large and comfortable, hotel's free shuttle via golf cart was very convenient and the valet drivers were very helpful

Completely unnecessary valet parking is required for guest vehicles. It just seemed like a scam for extra fees. Even if we parked our vehicle in the garage, we would have still used the convenient shuttle service (and tipped the drivers) because parking in Clearwater is impossible. Breakfast was mediocre. Air conditioning was struggling to keep the room cool and the air felt damp. A/C went out on the last night of our stay.

The staff was very courteous and professional very friendly they were very accommodating. I also would like to you recognition to the valet workers they will absolutely amazing very friendly every time I ask him a question about where something was they knew where to send me the best valley service I've seen in a long time Nathan - Azmere and Marid great. Never left us waiting long spoke to us while they were driving us it was a great experience.

The only thing we did not like was that it said that the hotel was 700 ft from the beach and honestly it wasn't but everything else was so good so great it didn't matter to us anymore LOL. I would stay in your hotel again.

Great location, so near to the beach and a short walk from the Pier and restaurants. Hotel room was huge! Staff were utterly AMAZING, so friendly, helpful and accomodating. The breakfast offerings were plentiful to cater for any guests from hot cooked breakfast, breakfast sandwwhich or waffle and including cereal, fruit, oatmeal and yoghurts. The free shuttle golf cart was fabulous and ran from morning to 11pm at night. Valet parking staff,Ivan, Fred and Kyle were so he;pful, polite and friendly, recommending places for us to visit when we asked. Thank you we had a fabulous time.

The only improvement I would make is to have a safe in the room (not that wee felt we needed it as very secure, but for travel documents etc).

I liked the receptionist that checked us in, he was incredibly helpful. I think his name was Josh.

They have a policy that you can’t check in if you’re under 21, but there was no barrier stoping me from buying the non-refundable tickets. If I had been visiting from another country I would’ve been left without a place to stay and short $600. They should really add some alert that comes up saying “warning: you’re under 21, you won’t be able to check into your room” before buying the tickets online.

It was close to everything so we could walk. The shuttle does take you to some places, but the hotel doesn’t want them in busy traffic so please keep that in mind. They will take you as far as they are allowed to. You do pay to valet park at the hotel for $25 per day, but also keep in mind that in Clearwater there isn’t much parking and if there is - you still have to pay the meters. It is a heavily patrolled area and I seen several cars get parking tickets. It may seem like a lot for parking, but your car will be safe at the hotel that’s watched 24/7. You can have your car at any time, but we left our car at the hotel our entire 5 day stay and just walked or shuttled everywhere. The location was perfect and only 2 blocks away from Clearwater beach. The pool is also very nice and heated. You never had to worry about cold pool water. Everything about this hotel was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel.

Maybe having a balcony but other than that, there’s nothing we didn’t like.

Breakfast was good. Staff is very friendly, and beach is close by. Room is comfortable. They also provide free shuttle service within 1/2 mile radius.

We don't like the coffee they are offering but there are local coffee shops around you can enjoy. No free parking, only valet parking and it cost you $25/night. Closest restaurant is about 10 min walk.

Breakfast was great. Wholesome choices. We enjoyed it very much.

The shower floor was very slippery when wet. My wife and I both slipped, and I brought this to the attention of the front desk person. We stayed in Room 514. I had to pay a parking fee to park at the hotel. That should all be included in the price of a room. I did not like that.

I love the Marriott, Fairfield Inn brand. This one did not disappoint. The entire place was clean and fresh. The complimentary breakfast was efficient; hot sandwiches, bagels, oatmeal, cereal etc. Our room was spacious enough. We had 2 queen beds, for a family of 4. Since we have a teen and a preteen, girl and boy, we bought a twin airbed. It fit perfectly. The bathroom was spacious and clean. They even had a guest laundry room. The view from every angle was great. We walked everywhere. The beach was a block and a half away. They also had valet parking (only) with an added golf cart shuttle up to half a mile. The price was great considering the time of the year and all of the amenities. Im definitely adding this to my list of favorites when we return.

I didn’t like the daily fee for parking. There were also huge ants by the pool, probably from people bringing food. I think they couldve handled that better. It wasn’t enough to deter me, and I hate ants. Just wanted to be forthright about my stay.
