Homewood Suites by Hilton Athens Downtown University Area

Spacious and comfortable rooms were decorated nicely with a UGA theme. Bar and game room were a fun place to hang out for adults and kids. The outdoor patio was a great space for sitting and talking or having a drink. Staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. The location made walking anywhere within Athens and to campus a breeze.

We requested for our room to be cleaned more than once. On a three night stay room was never touched, we were never given fresh towels and we ran out of toilet paper. I was able to get towels and toilet paper from the desk, but considering we had specifically requested cleaning, I don’t think that’s something I should have had to handle.

Very convenienly located to UGA

The breakfast room supervisors talked very loudly between themselves about guests about whose behavior they disapproved. No washcloths in the bathroom. No tissues. One tiny shard of soap. When bathing, rather than showering, the soap bottles are so high up, it’s not practical to use them.

location was great: walkable to downtown restaurants and north campus, but not too close where noise was an issue. Super friendly staff and valet was very fast getting car when I needed it.

The location was excellent. Very clean spacious room.

Breakfast options were minimal. No eggs, bacon. Heard the staff say they were out of food. There were no sheets for the pull out couch. Had to go to the front desk and no one was around. Found some in a bin behind the front desk with clean towels. Felt the nightly rate was too high and so was the parking. Valet and self park were $18/day!

Didn’t know that it was ONLY VALET parking. I came and went multiple times during the day and felt obligated to tip each time. It’s not a major downtown city so did not expect to have to pay for parking. My bad for not seeing it in the description though.

Breakfast was good - something different every day. Location was great. We love to walk and it was close to so many things. Friendly staff - especially the valet parking people.

Bedding didn't fit the bed. Sheets and mattress pad kept coming off and bunching up.

The room was spacious and well apportioned. It was clean and very comfortable. It was walking distance from the Classic Center, which was very convenient based on limited parking at the Classic Center.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The location is amazing and our room was perfect! Front desk staff especially Jessica M and Giovanna M went above and beyond for our family and our two reasons we will be returning to this hotel!! Breakfast was Covid safe and amazing!!

I wish fresh towels and soap were offered instead of us having to ask for house keeping needs.

We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but walked to coffee at 1,000 Faces. Also walked to a nice dinner at Porterhouse Grill. So the location was convenient for us. Loved how quiet our room was!!

They tried to make me pay for parking even though I had no car. I think with the prices already so extreme the least a customer could do is park anyways.

Pretty expensive being was a one night stay literally only to sleep.
