Super 8 by Wyndham Carson City

Don’t judge a book by its cover…the outside isn’t well maintained. If you look at the windows on the ground floor the hotel looks sketchy. Once you get inside the rooms aren’t terrible. The beds are clean and comfortable. Since hotels don’t make it comfortable for a family over 4 we have to rent 2 rooms with 2 beds in each room. Therefore we have to go with lower end hotels to make it affordable. The receptionists were extremely helpful and very friendly. I would go here again for sure.

The outside of the property was sketchy but when you entered the hotel it was clean. However the bathrooms both had a lot of hair in the sinks and the shower drains. The towel’s definitely need replacing but were clean. We even a found dirty shirt behind the chair in one of our rooms. It won’t deter us from staying again though. No hotel is perfect!

This is a no frills motel. It is very clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff were supportive and helpful as my needs changed. After I arrived and I realized I needed a larger room, it was handled quickly and everything went smoothly. The fridge is a good size and the microwave worked well. The motel is next to a small casino if you like that sort of thing. I was there to handle a family emergency, not to gamble. This motel is fairly priced. I've paid as much as or more for worse.

The facility is older and showing that age. It is not close to very many restaurants, but many are a short drive away. So are grocery stores. The location is right off the main strip, surrounded by car dealerships and other budget motels. Not scenic in any way.

comfy room

breakfast was not a true continental breakfast. police were at the property 3 times in one week. issues with the return of deposit. still waiting to be refunded my deposit. called about it, was told the refund had taken place and that they would email me the information showing it. I did not receive an email, and the deposit refund still has not been processed. the refund I did receive was for checking out a day early. unable to get this resolved. disputing the deposit charge with my bank.

Location is perfect for us. It's in the middle of everything we like to do. The staff are always friendly and helpful. You can't beat the view of the mountains.

The bathroom is not senior friendly. No hand rails to help get up and down. Someone before us grabbed the towel rack trying to get out of the shower and pulled it out of the wall. It hadn't been repaired yet.

The breakfast wasn’t available but understandable on why due to Covid, yet people weren’t wearing any masks to begin with, we were the only ones. I personally think breakfast could have stayed open but had to be one group at a time in the breakfast area. Overall it wasn’t an issue just would’ve been nice to have breakfast without having to pay out extra or bring ice chest full of food.

First was the staff, they were very helpful and friendly. COVID as made them set the cleaning to only on checkout but they quickly meet any needs needed. Also liked the large room refrigerator. It was the first time staying in any hotel that food and beverages were kept cold 😀

While the staff worked extra hard to insure the cleanliness due to coid, the floor was very dirty. if you walked on the carpet without shoes your feet would turn black. Carpets need a thorough deep cleaning

The staff was friendly. The room was nice and comfy. The bathroom was clean. The location was good and the amenities were as described.

No breakfast for the price. I totally understand protocols but maybe provide a to-go breakfast in a brown bag (bottled water/boxed juice, fruits, danish/cupcakes etc.) would be nice just like what other motels are offering or at least a complimentary coffee.

The staff were. Very friendly and helpful, the front end and the cleaning staff were great.

The heating system smelled if antifreeze or some such and I found an industrial staple in the carpet the hard way. Tore my heal up and bleed. I have had to walk tenderly for a few days now. Not the staffs fault I am sure.

The mountain views were beautiful. Carson City is so clean and easy to get around in. Plenty of things to do besides the gambling. Although we did our share.

"Breakfast" was granola bars and yoquit and tangerines. Also the bathrooms need handrails for us Old Folk.

Very clean and comfortable. The person who checked us in was very friendly. Fridge and microwave in room. Basic, but still better than you’d expect for a Super 8.

We weren’t able to find the breakfast (despite following signs) and nobody at desk to assist.
