Great location for sightseeing in Brooklyn - just over the bridge which was closeby, the ferry to Staten Island / Statue of Liberty was also less than 10 minutes walk and Wall St. and the Financial District is on your doorstep. Easy walk up to Fulton St. Station for a quick subway ride to Midtown. A very safe, quiet area, great breakfast with loads of options and friendly staff.

The one big minus was the lack of a safe in the room. Not great for tourists as we had to take all our passports and valuable with us every day. The breakfast room does get packed about 8:30am but we were generally up earlier.

Good location for us as we wanted easy access to the Subway, Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, harbour and World Trade Centre. The room was compact, maybe smaller than the photos suggest, but we'd read the reviews so were not that surprised. The lift was fast. Cannot comment on the breakfast as we didn't even try it, it didn't look appetising.

Basically, we didn't like being misled by the photos shown on Booking.com. There are no rooms that have views that are shown on the photos, and the external views of the hotel are not this hotel. Our view from the 20th floor was of a polished concrete wall of the adjacent builidng 5m away. As far as I could understand, this was the same for thre quarters or more of the rooms in the hotel. Still amazes me that Booking.com can permit photos that are not of this hotel.

The bed was huge and super comfy! Bathroom was amazing and spacious, so that was a plus. They have a gym but I didn't use, worth mentioning that they provide water and towels there. There's also fresh water all the time by the reception and throughout the day you can grab some coffee at the restaurante where they serve breakfast. Speaking of which, breakfast was good, specially in the US where most places won't serve it let alone in New York City. Everyday the hot buffet would offer a different selection whereas the cold buffet was always full with plenty of options, the servers are also vert kind and smiley despite the fact that they're busy rushing up and down.

The room was small in comparison to the bed, so very little room to keep the suitcases. The air conditioning was great but as you can't move all the metal bars some of the wind would flow straight into our heads which left me with a cold. Other than that everything was fine.

As this was our first trip to New York, I'd say we picked a hotel with one of the best locations for New York first-timers! It's in the middle of Downtown New York, a large part of which is the Financial District. It seems like a very safe location to be, with the New York Stock Exchange, the 9/11 memorial, Trinity Church, and many other well-known NYC sites just around the corner. The hotel is located just across the street from the East River, almost on the shore, where amazing views of Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Bridge will remind you of all the movies you've ever seen set in New York. There are many nice bars around, as well as one of the most important subway stations (Fulton Street) that will take you anywhere you want to go within or outside of Manhattan. With the Brooklyn Bridge, Wall Street, and the start of Broadway just 3-5 minutes away on foot, we'd usually start our days walking towards Uptown, and then when we get tired, descend into the underground and catch a subway train to where we want to go. Keep walking North of the hotel, and you'll get to incredibly interesting, less posh neighborhoods, such as Chinatown, Korea Town, Little Italy, and Ukrainian Village, all with their own unique flavors, but still undeniably a part of Manhattan and New York - must see! The hotel itself looks rather old but very well preserved, as, to my surprise, most of Manhattan and its buildings. The staff is mostly very pleasant, friendly and helpful, especially Joel, who works at reception. Although we were initially supposed to be on one of the lower levels, we got an upgrade to our room from the kind staff, as they had some vacancies, and we got an amazing room on the 36th floor with an incredible view of the Financial District, giving the whole trip a whole new dimension! We spent most of our non-sleep time in the room staring out the windows. The room was tidy, and cleaned daily, the toilette was decent.

Really no substantial drawbacks to this accommodation if you take into account that it's one of the cheapest options on Manhattan, and its location is amazing. The continental breakfast was substantial and tasty, but unfortunately, for the 9 days we spent there, there was little to no variety in the food offered. Paying in cash is accepted reluctantly if there's no other option, and it will complicate things for you and the staff, so be prepared for other options. Internet was pretty good throughout the hotel and room.

For the price it was good, comfortable bed, the rooms are small but it is expected in NY, the breakfast was good, same as other hotels that have continental breakfast included. The location was great, you can walk to the Brooklyn bridge , to the Twin Towers memorial park, lots of restaurants, you will be 2 block from the water, it is way more quite then uptown. Would not recommend to stay in Times Square, that was crazy mad. Staff was great. if you have a Netflix account you can get it in the room.

it is not a luxury hotel, so the rooms need a little maintenance , They are small, the bathroom was big, but the room is small.

Incredibly nice and helpful staff! Our room was comfortable for two people. The bed was huge and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and nice. Everything was cleaned daily. Coffee, tea, ice water, and microwave were available for guests 24/7. Breakfasts were almost the same everyday but the quality of food was good and the variety made it possible to not eat the same thing everyday. Plant-based milk options were nice surprise for me. Location was perfect! Close to the subway and safe to walk even at night. We'll definitely come back!

Although walls in the room were quite thick, the doors were very thin and we could see the light from the hall... Also every sound made there and in other rooms was distracting us from sleep. Our window faced the wall of neighboring building so we didn't have much natural light. Breakfast area was very small, it was not possible to find a place to eat sometimes. The floor in the whole room was constantly heating and the AC was going crazy to keep the set temperature, it was always too cold or too hot in our room.

I always looking a clean hotel, clean bed where I can feel and sleep good. So this was the one. .the location it is great. Close of different places . Like we walk to Brooklyn Bridge. To the Ground Zero, The breakfast It exceeded my expectations, it is a great buffet it has everything every day. Really good. I was in the 29 floor so it was quiet. .

There is not parking, there is one close there in the same street thanks God we found that one because we arrived late night, but they work 24 hours. Tha construction outside was bad. My family and I booked two rooms. But I don’t know why they did not clean my sister bedroom twice, and they didn’t left them towels either. Of course we have to go tell them because they didn’t even take the trash out. The rooms are small, where only one person can walk around the bed . But this is something that really don’t butter me. I know in New York the rooms are smaller than in Texas, but you know we were all day out. So we just need to be there for sleep. So is still ok.

We would definately book this hotel again as the room was very clean and quiet. Although we had a room next to the elevator, we did not hear a noise. The breakfast was also good: they had cornflakes, oats, toast, bagels, joghurt, nutella, omelettes, apples every day etc.... so everyone will find something to eat. A little bit more fruits would be nice but ok :-) The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is next to the waterfront and its lovely there - we normally stay near times square but this is wayyy better!!

There was no safe in the room and the room was pretty dark (little daylight only - 3rd floor).

The location is great, walking distance to several subway stations, in the heart of Downtown. Two steps from Pier 17, where we spent evenings listening to music and gazing at sunset into Brooklyn Bridge and Citi lights. Great breakfast, including eggs & bacon etc., yogurts, coffee, oatmeal, bananas, apples. The lobby has lemon ice water, so you won't get thirsty. Room equipped with coffee station, bottled water, hair drier, iron and board. We had king room facing the Front street , surprisingly in was very quiet street, We had late arrival, so I called to the reception asking them to hold my reservation, and they were very helpful. Hotel has 24 hours reception desk and great staff to help anytime. Check-in and check-out was fast. I would visit again.

The bathroom is bit tired, could use the renovation of appliances. But all was in good working order
