Hampton Inn Seaport Financial District

A very good location. Within walking distance of pier 17, 9/11 memorial, battery park and other sites of interest. About 3 blocks from the subway. The attendant in the breakfast room was welcoming and helpful.

The breakfast was okay, but there wasn’t any fruit. It was pretty standard Hampton included breakfast.

The location was perfect - the hotel is in the south street seaport area, just moments away from the Fulton Street subway which is well connected with many train lines. It’s also a fifteen minute walk to the 9/11 memorial and financial district, or a five minute walk to the Brooklyn bridge so easy to get over to Brooklyn and explore DUMBO and the Time Out food market. There are lots of nice bars and restaurants on the seaport and it’s way less touristy than the Times Square area. The staff at the hotel are lovely - Kim was particularly warm and welcoming to us.

We had a great stay. The only thing that doesn’t work very well is breakfast - it’s pretty basic and there were no real options for our vegan daughter. More fruit or non-dairy milk would have been nice. It’s also just too small a room to cope with all the guests who come down around the same time - although Cesar who works there couldn’t have been more friendly, which helped to keep the atmosphere calm!

Considering its prime location, I genuinely value everything this hotel has to offer. The staff, notably Cesar, who bears a striking resemblance to an older version of Denzel Washington, was incredibly friendly. He went above and beyond, taking care of all my breakfast needs, leaving me with little chance to even dispose of my used plates as he graciously attended to everything. Should you encounter any minor dissatisfaction, simply remind yourself that you're on Manhattan, and this realization will help you stay calm and appreciate the blessings of staying here.

While the room lacked a refrigerator and a microwave, the staff graciously permitted us to use the microwave in their kitchen. This gesture exemplifies their commitment to ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay, despite the absence of these amenities in the room.

The hotel is located near pier 17 which is a really clean, safe and vibrant neighborhood. It is at walking distance from metrostations to midtown. It is also possible to walk to the 9/11 memorial and to the public ferry to Staten Island. The breakfastroom can be too crowded between 7:30 and 8:30 but service (Ceasar) is very friendly and you can take your plate up to your room.

The gym is very small, only a few cardio machines. There is no parking or valet. You only can stand at the beginning of the busstop for a moment while checking in. We stayed at the topfloor (9th) and the humming of the airconditioner outside was annoying and I can imagine some people can't stand it.

- Breakfast was very good. You can have a decent range of product, from home made waffle with nutella or syrup to fruits and salty choices (e.g. bacon, eggs, sausage etc). The breakfast waiter was extremely kind and helpful, ready for every requests - Bed was super comfortable - Bathroom had a decent size - Location was excellent! 5 minutes walk from the Brooklyn bridge, 8 minutes from Fulton Street subway (subway 2,3 and A and C), 15 mins from the World Trade Center - Sound proof bedrooms

- The bedroom was very cold because of some draught. We had to keep the aircon on to heat up the room - Although the bedrooms were soundproof we were at the -1 level and we could hear the noise from the ice machine

The staff was extremely polite, welcoming and helpful - both at the reception and serving breakfast. The hotel is located literally a few steps from downtown Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge, the surrounding is safe and nice. The room was clean and comfortable although quite small - a place to store our baggage could help. I understand however that space is not what you can expect in Manhattan. Breakfasts are typically American which means that after a few days we would dream about veggies and food selection typical for European hotels. Anyway everything was fresh and okay. There were also hot water and coffee dispensers available 24/7 which was really nice, as well as a microwave also available 24/7.

The best thing Hampton Inn Seaport has to offer guests is the staff of smiling, helpful people who work there. Everyone went out of their way to offer assistance and create a friendly atmosphere. The location near South Street Seaport is a plus, and you can get a real feel for downtown New York.

For the money charged by the hotel one expects a bit more: beds that don't squeak, maybe a mini-fridge in the room, and definitely a larger breakfast area with better food on offer, real cutlery and coffee cups, space to sit. The hotel is on a nondescript looking building on a nondescript street, wedged between a public school and a Jehovah's Witnesses hall, a block from Brooklyn Bridge and Pace University, three blocks from the South Street Seaport and a longer walk of about 6-8 blocks to the financial district. and subway stations, and about 15 minutes walk from Chinatown. Thus, though convenient and atmospheric, the place is not strictly as pictured in the Booking.com web site.

Location. Location. Location. The hotel is very near Wall Street, Battery Park, One World Trade Center, Brooklyn Bridge. We got to see various places within walking distance. Beds were comfortable, staff were very friendly and kind. Room was clean. Breakfast was included in the room rate. The front and lobby is accessible for UBER and Lyft Pick Up/ Drop Off. There are restaurants nearby.

Rooms are small but that is usual in NYC. It is a small hotel, if you are looking for a fancy lobby and lots of amenities like pool and other things this is not the right place.

location is perfect, a stones throw away from subways to take you to other parts of the city. the area of seaport is beautiful, plenty of food places around. Manhattan end of Brooklyn bridge so ideal for site seeing down the lower end of NYC. hotel itself had everything you’d need for a short stay. staff very friendly and nothing too much to ask. tea making facilities in room and down by lobby. ground C also had access to a vending machine and ice water machine. I was located on 8th floor, room large in size. even came with a balcony! the views from the balcony were the back of another building so not ideal for looking out into the city but for a drink and chill out in a little terrace after a busy day it was perfect! hotel reception 24/7. come and go as you please. facilities ample for a short stay in the city! would definitely stay here again!

My partner and I booked a king room and we thought it was great. Loved the location! Right next to the famous Brooklyn Bridge, and down the road to the downtown financial district of New York. And to top it all off, the breakfast in the morning was great. Nothing too fancy; cereals, eggs and sausage, a waffle iron for fresh made waffles, and oatmeal were just a few of the items available. The man helping all the guests with their breakfast was incredibly nice and deserves an award. Overall, my partner and I found this place perfect for our little weekend getaway.

Hardly anything to dislike. The only dislike we may have had was that our room did not have any real view of the city, or view of anything for that matter. Just the the back alley of the building we were in, but that wasn't too important to us. I'm sure there are better views in other rooms. Other than that there were really no dislikes about the place.
