AC Hotel by Marriott New York Downtown

The hotel was beautiful and in a great location! This was my first visit to the Big Apple so I didn’t really know the area but I’m so happy I chose this hotel. What a great experience! Great customer service. They upgraded us to a room overlooking the river. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. When we were ready to go back home, I asked about taxi service and they arranged a ride back to the airport for us. I was very impressed with the way we were treated; it was almost as if we were royalty! I loved everything about this hotel and it will be where I stay every time I visit NY!! Thank you!

Nothing! Everything was perfect.

The two rooms we had were fab. Great view from both, and especially so from one that took in the city the river and downtown.

Staff weren't accommodating on check-in. Didn't tell us anything. Apart from one desk person on our last day. Our breakfast was included on both days but it was a big song and dance from the woman running breakfast and a production from her checking it was included. Then she did the same thing on day 2. She also tidied away the coffee with about 10 minutes to go and there was nowhere to get coffee after that. Just generally rude service on breakfast. Also, the selection of food was pretty weak. I didn't mind so much as we'd chosen a rate where it was included but if I'd paid an extra $20+ for breakfast I'd be pretty mad.

The place has a great view of the East River and is located amazingly to see all of Manhattan where there is a tube station only a 5-10 minute walk. The night concierge (Aiden) was very welcoming, helpful and considerate, he understood and listened (we were in a bit of a mess as our booking cancelled last minute). We were allowed to store our bags until check in time and use the lounge area. The room was great, clean, quiet, towels and toiletries provided with coffee and a kettle.

Nothing bad to say really.

Our stay started with few hours early checking-in by a nice and helpful lady. This was appreciated. The amenities in the room were sufficient and high quality. The small shop to buy snacks and drinks in the lobby was helpful. The staff at reception were responsive and providing as much as info and help they could.

The housekeeping/cleaning! We were told at check in that the housekeeping will be every other day... not a major problem. However, during our 5 days of stay, only once they came for housekeeping and cleaning, and even the one-time cleaning was not as good as expected. The noise level from the streets was too high! A little better isolation in the windows could remove it totally.

We stayed at the AC Hotel in November 2022. We made a last minute change to our hotel as our previous booking had been closed and then reopened and some very poor reviews. I am so glad we changed to the AC Hotel. On arrival, the team on reception were really welcoming, polite and professional. This continued throughout our stay. We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights. The room was lovely. Modern, stylish and clean. It was a great size and the bed was exceptionally large and very comfortable. The room had tea and coffee facilities, a lovely bathroom, big TV and air conditioning. Hotel is in a great location, a few minutes walk from the East River with beautiful views over the Brooklyn Bridge and Dumbo. Its well connected to rest of Manhattan with a subway from Wall Street. This was a great stay and would highly recommend.

Being a hotel in NYC, the room was a decent size. We had a corner room with a city view and a partial view of the East River. I really liked that the room was modern finishes (especially lights). The staff was also was very accommodating.

Though we were given some options for parking, perhaps they can work with some of these parking companies and work out a deal for daily parking....not used to paying $58 a day in tight spaces. Oh, and that breakfast was not the business. $25 per person should include more than breakfast sandwiches (that were not warm), mini pastries and juice/coffee.

Great Hotel, Great Position and very nice people. The Hotel is in Wall Street, far enough from the city's noise but still in a great position (6 min by feet to the metro and in 15-20 min you are in Time Square, broadway, HighLine, Central Park, etc). Plus it is also nearby to the seaport district, so 1 min and you are at the PIER 17, very nice place with a wonderfull atmosphere. The staff is always available for any help and needs. I would definitely return and/or recommend it. Hard to find better at this price in NY.

The room cleaning could be certainly improved. We got the room cleaned every 2 days, but honestly not so deeply. Anyway it is nothing compromising. But still, it is not something that requires a lot to be improved so I hope they'll do it, cause it is almost a perfect place where to stay.

This is my second time at this hotel, 1st stay was on July 2021. The staff were super great, especially the front desk: Tenzin, Tiffany, Jermy & Max are super nice & helpful. once you request anything they act quickly. Location: opposite to the east river (2 minutes walking), It’s a great start to have a walk near the river. There is a big supermarket near the hotel (6 minutes walking called key food supermarket). Some good restaurants & deli nearby ( Hesta is highly recommended), Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks also very close the hotel. Metro station is also close to the hotel: Fulton is 11 minutes walking & Wall Street is 7 minutes. The View: we upgraded our room to river view and it was so nice. Coffe machine is available at the room. The bed was comfortable. Clean room in general, could be better but it’s clean overall. AC works fine. Elevators are very fast.

I was not surprised with what I didn’t like since this is my second time at this hotel, but i have to say that the room size is small especially we were 2 adults and one infant with 2 big bags, cribt and baby stroller, actually it wasn’t easy to deal with it but it’s New York after all. There is no kettle in the room, i had to go down to the lobby every time to heat the water for my baby’s milk. The bathroom is small and might not be convenient for some people since it’s not a sound proof. I will return back to this lovely hotel.

Wonderful hotel. Clean, big rooms. Comfortable beds, quiet. Great place to relax in the business of New York. There were a few small technical issues in my room, but the staff solved it very well and offered me a free breakfast. I decided to book an extra night, as the area is great too, near Battery Park and the ferry to Governors Island.

There was so much plastic! The coffee pads are wrapped in plastic, the cups are wrapped in plastic. You are offered two tiny plastic bottles of water. It is just a shame for the environment, all this unnecessary plastic… it would be great if the hotel were more eco-conscious.

The hotel is at a good location. We were given a room wtih awesome view - thanks for that. The bed is very comfortable. Price was OK for New York.

Cleaning is practically non-existant. We stayed 7 days. Our room was not cleaned for the first five days until I requested this to be done and night shift was sent to clean. I've read the previous booking comments and kind-a expected this to happen but still hoped it wouldn't happen to us.
