Residence Inn Long Island Garden City

The bed and pillows were comfortable, not too soft or hard (Goldilocks!). The space was large, the lighting was bright, and the TV could rotate for viewing from the sofa or from the beds. There was a lot of counter space in the kitchen area. The desk in the "living room" was large. There was a 4 foot counter and huge mirror in the closet area between the bathroom and the bed area, which I found useful. The water pressure was okay and the walk in shower area was plenty large for me. I don't use a tub, so the walk in shower was great for me. I did not use the gym or gym or have breakfast, so I cannot comment about those. The tiny convenience "shop" next to the reservation desk had small selection of various frozen meals (including healthier options like Amy's spinach lasagna!). The room and facilities were in pretty good condition.

Complimentary bottles of water were not provided, which was an annoyance since I had to go down to the front desk area to buy water. The shower head was not on a flexible hose, so it could not be moved. I found a few long hairs on the bathroom floor; however, I haven't stayed in a hotel anywhere in the world where that wasn't the case, including 5 star hotels. The floor was not "dirty" and the rest of the bathroom was clean.

This hotel was awesome and gave our family space to spread out. The breakfast was great and location was too! The facilities were clean and staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for sure!

We really liked this hotel. We were super impressed about everything! When we had requests the responses were prompt and friendly. Again, I would recommend this hotel for sure!

The king suite room was exceptional, spacious and comfortable. Location to places of interests was excellent.

The initial issue with my charges/refund being resolved only until the day I left after writing an email to Marriott customer service. I felt this could have been approved early on by the property manager. Also, the cost per night were very high.

Staff was impeccable. I had surgery at a nearby facility & the hotel accommodated me with a wheelchair. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, utensils, pots, coffee, cups, stovetop, etc. plus a large king sized bed with a pull out couch. I really felt like I was at home. & not to mention, the staff allowed me to check out 2 hours after normal check out time after letting them know I just had surgery. Amazing amazing experience. Best hotel I ever stayed at. The Tv also already had Netflix, YouTube & other streaming services available. Which was also perfect . The neighborhood was also very clean, quiet & nice as well.

Bed was so comfortable. Got the greatest sleep! Tv swiveled practically 360. Loved the Ice tray in the freezer for ice cubes. shower / bathroom was nice. loved the glass dishes offered.

shower temp. wasn’t hot enough. the closet door doesn’t close. swings back open. elevator was pretty far walk from room.

This is my second time staying here and I’m sure it won’t be the last. Best hotel I’ve stayed at in New York. I enjoy coming here for stay-cations and will continue to do so. The rooms are spacious & super clean. I also was able to cook dinner in the room comfortably which was a plus. I’ve recommended this hotel to several friends as well. I also utilized the game room which has a pool time the last time I was here which was really fun. I haven’t used the pool yet but from what I saw it’s very clean. The fitness center is also nice too!

Breakfast has too much sugar and fat in food supply my own fruit and cereal. Offering hard boiled eggs and fruit is ok.

no bathrobes and no bathroom by the pool to use a toilet or to change. walking around in wet swimsuit was not very comfortable

Very conveniently located next to stores, mall, dining and main highways. Fairly spacious family suites, very courteous staff.

As a California resident, always enjoy the outdoors in summer. No to very limited outdoor seating to relax, but the rooms and social areas are spacious and very well equipped. Perfect for a business trip.

Room size and amenities, nice use of space. Loved the high ceilings! Kitchen area was awesome, loved the fuller size refrigerator. Living room area was so spacious. Also love the tv area....can move from living room to bedroom!

Lighting wasn’t the best, some issues with bulb above table to eat. No one came to fix it. Also light at closet area wasn’t working and then in the morning it worked. Yes we had main light switch on. Bed pillows were not our favorite....head sunk into them, not support.
