Dylan Hotel NYC

The location with respect to the city, in the middle of everything. The size of the room - got the executive one - was REALLY big compared to standards in Manhattan for similar rooms/rates.

The "view" from the window is windows of nearby buildings which consequently meant that I had to keep the curtain closed even at daylight. Whilst expectation is managed that it is fair to be facing another building, perhaps the curtains could be such that there could be "daylight" types of curtain that can protect the view but allow the light and then another layer of fully shaded curtains.

The staff was very attentive, location was great and it was very clean, the cleanest linens I can remember sleeping under in a hotel room, they smelled good, not just like bleach. The towels were large and thick. Overall I thought it was a great find in midtown, I would stay here again.

Location, location, location! Beautiful building from the outside. Nice, small lobby. Staff were efficient and friendly (for the most part). I really appreciated the Nespresso machine, kettle, supplies and refrigerator! The room was clean and spacious and bed was comfortable. Yes, the furniture and carpet are not in tiptop shape- but that didn't bother me much, probably b/c the decor of the room is on the dark side? You don't really notice it until you're up close and personal with it LOL. Either way, I would stay again for the price.

The internet went out one night. Staff person directed me to call their Internet provider in order to trouble shoot the problem. I was offended LOL. He acted as if that was a normal request to make of a guest. The internet was restored by the morning so I was happy again :)

Location! Room and bathroom very modern. You can communicate with the hotel through whatsapp all day.

The hotel made arrangements for us with a taxi company to get to the airport for our flight home. Unfortunately the price we were told and which was comfirmed to us multiple times by the front desk (we only took out that exact amount, since we headed home to Europe, we didnt need any extra $) ended up not being the price that we had to pay at the airport. Not only did we have to pay much more plus a ridiculous credit card fee, it was an extremly uncomfortable situation with the cab driver!!! They charge a rather "high" service/facility fee for two small bottles of water and 4 Nespresso caps per day.

The location was great with good access to everything in the city. Staff was very friendly and helpful and made both chek in and check-out very smooth. It was good value for money considering the general prices if you want to stay in Manhattan which we insisted on doing as it was our first visit to New York and we only had 3 days to explore everything. It is nice that the lovely Bryant Park is so close by and we could walk to many places.

It got very noisy in the morning with roadworks outside. It's not something that can be controlled, but the outer window in our room didn't close properly so it was hard to reduce the noise, but you can expect noise in the middle of the city. This might sound petty, but there was no water or coffee refill on our third day and it was quite disappointing with the water missing when you're used to being able to drink water from the tap which you can't do here.

I love the location and it’s a beautiful building. The rooms are a pretty good size. The beds are super comfortable, the rooms have refrigerators, most of the people that work there are very nice and professional. I do enjoy that you can just scan a code and text the hotel directly. The Housman that work in the evening are great.

The dark blue rugs are very luxurious, but they need to be vacuumed everyday. I found gum stuck on the room phone. The rooms definitely need to be cleaned better, and the cleaning crew are so aggressively loud when they come in to clean the rooms. They act as if there are no other guest on the floor. The air conditioning needs to be looked at as well. It goes from being very warm to extremely cold when it finally gets cold.

Location, location, location. If you arrive to NYC via train, the hotel is 5 minutes from Grand Central walking. The room was big, comfortable, clean, and fairly quiet for NYC. Added bonus: great steakhouse attached to the hotel.

The pillows could have been a little thicker to support my big head, but I'm just nitpicking.

We enjoyed our stay very much at Dylan hotel and would definitely stay there again. It’s in a perfect location on the Library Way between the grand central station and the Bryant park area. The rooms are clean and okay-sized. We were two adults and two young kids and were comfortable. We had an extra bed and an extra crib in the room. The gym is small but nice! The hotel staff is amazing. We had a medical incident during our stay and they were very responsive and helpful, even caring. The value is great!
