Hampton Inn Richmond-SW Hull Street

The room was bigger than average hotel rooms; they served a hot breakfast if you choose along with cold cereal, muffins, bagels and an assortment of juice. The location was perfect right in the middle of everything you might need. Each room has a microwave and fridge. The check in and check out process was easy and quick. The hallways are bright and have good lighting; they do not have any laundry facility on the premises but there plenty of laundromats in the immediate area. The location of the hotel is very safe.

I was pretty satisfied with everything. No complaints

The breakfast was very good. Great would have been if they had gluten free bread products individually wrapped as a choice. The service at breakfast was excellent. Diane was an absolute delight to talk to. She was on top of keeping everything clean and refilled.

There was a lot of construction and renovation going on. The pool was out of commission. The workers were very respectful, however.

We were very happy with our accomodations at the Hampton Inn. Staff was very friendly and helpful while we were there. Social distancing and masks made us feel safe. Loved how breakfast was served in the little boxes with happy notes. Other friends at other hotels said they got nothing! It was nice to have hot water and coffee available at all times in the lobby. We came from Florida and were "COLD" all weekend. LOL

Nothing I can think of. We had a great visit to Virginia. The cleaning staff was not allowed in our rooms so we had to put laundry and garbage outside our doors in the hallway. But that was not really a problem - loved the safety matters.

The breakfast was great for Covid times. The grab and go breakfast was filling and a nice variety: bagel and cream cheese, fruit, yogurt, cereal. We have stayed at a different chain hotel and the grab and go breakfast was subpar there. The room felt very clean and sanitary, kudos to the cleaning team. The staff were very friendly and helpful, really pleasant when greeting us and checking us out.

The beds were quite wobbly feeling. You could feel every move your partner made. The pillows were so squishy it was hard to get support

Hidden treasure in my opinion. Location, surrounding food/shopping/groceries/gas options and accessibility is superb. Hotel and neighborhood is very quiet, secluded from main highway somewhat, and has ample parking options. Rooms very clean, organized and set up very well. A/C and heat system quiet and working well and up to date. Bedding and sleep accommodations up to date and very comfortable. TV/Fridge/microwave up to date and clean. One cup coffee maker and supplies adequate. Elevator access and operation very user friendly, quiet, and fast. Furniture and décor in lobby and surrounding areas up to date and clean. Staff members very courteous, helpful , professional, and pleasant.

Only issue that I guess I have been spoiled by at other hotels is the absence of the newer nightstand lamps that have the base plug-ins and USB ports for keeping laptop/ipads/phones etc charged at the base of the lamps. The two lamps that were in the room were a little old and out of date and one with a little rust at the base of the lamp shaft. Of course with Covid-19 restrictions still active the breakfast bar was closed but the grab bag option with a few healthy items enclosed was there for the taking between 6-9am. Coffee options were OK.

Convenient to shops and food

The website stated the amenities had an indoor pool which is why I specifically chose to spend a little more for the stay; however, after checking in we were notified the pool was closed indefinitely. My children were not happy being stuck in a hotel room all day with nothing to do. To me this was false advertising and something that should have been noted on the website.

Breakfast was fine. Expected a bigger breakfast offering selection for the price of the room.

Think the price is high for this location. Have stayed in hotels as nice for a lot less money.

I slept well!

The bed was not made for second day and the room was not cleaned. The fitted sheet was not made correctly.

Breakfast just a take-away bag and no milk for cereal. Coffee was just ok. At least they had an apple in the bag and a bottle of water. Bagel was stale and cold.

Front desk area very small and crowded with coffee right behind check-in. Way too small and confined space for check-in

Clean & well maintained.

bed was inner-spring mattress and too firm for comfort. Even a memory foam topper on the existing mattress would have been a huge improvement.
