Hanoi Golden Moon Hotel

TLDR version - don't hesitate and book you stay at Golden Moon! Need more info? Here you go: It was the best experience when it comes to staying at hotel in whole Vietnam, during our 2 weeks trip, I strongly recommend it! If you are looking for cozy hotel located in the Old Quarter with delcious breakfast in Hanoi, don't look anymore:) I wish we could spend more time there as also price was very rationable. But what really makes this place awesome, is the stuff - we couldn't imagine more professional and more caring service Jessica is just amazing at her job, super helpful and supportive! From the very first moment, we were provided with all we needed, including tips and hints for our shopping (we got also possibility to refresh and take a rest during the day after check in and to leave our luggage for a day). I would like to mention Flora and Nick as well, as they were both smiled and willing to help us with anything, we were also warmly welcomed with a welcome tea, in the same way we say goodbye to them:)

This hotel was such a dark horse! It surpassed our expectations. The best parts of the hotel was by far the staff, they were so friendly, helpful and even when you checked out- they even made sure you got to your next destination without any problems!! I honestly haven't met any other hotel that has matched this level of professionalism by the staff. The food was plentiful and very tasty. We decided to come back and stay here before flying out of Hanoi, I couldn't recommend this hotel enough!! The rooms were also very clean with the best working air conditioning!

We stayed a view nights in this Hotel, the staff (Jessica, Flora and the "nightguy") was really nice and helped us with every question we had and also booked a bus for our next destination. The breakfast was good, you have different choices from a menu (all sorts of eggs and pancakes) additional there is a buffet where you can choose from different fruits, croissants, bread and vegetables. The location of the hotel makes it possible to reach nearly everything in the old quarter by foot if you want. Really nice was the room-upgrade we got without questioning for it. If we visit Hanoi again, we will come back to the Golden Moon Hotel.

The location is close , accessible to bus stops especially bus no. 86 , the room service, the welcome , the staff especially Jessica who remembers your name everytime to greet or meet her . Early check in was provided , waiting in lobby didn't feel stressful as jessica was always asking for water and interacting with us . There is nothing to not like about this property . It is worth every penny. Breakfast could be better . But its not bad considering so many options but compared to the price it can do a bit better

Excellent location, right in the heart of the old quarter. The room was spacious, with good shower and air-conditioning. The staff was very kind and helped us to book a one-day tour to Ninh Binh and airport taxis (although this last one was a little bit pricey, $18 one-way). The breakfast was simple, not many options, but it was good, with a small buffet and an option of a hot dish (Phò, omelette, pancakes...)

The double bed was two single mattress put together and we could feel the division between them (although our room was an upgraded room, without extra charge) The buffet of the breakfast could be improved, with more options.

We stayed at the Golden Moon Hotel for only one night, but I have to say that it was the best hotel stay we've had in Vietnam during the past seven days. The staff was extremely friendly, providing great tips and advice regarding food, sightseeing, and travel, and they were always willing to help with anything we needed. I would like to especially thank Jessica for her kind, professional, and attentive treatment. The room was very clean, with a large window providing a nice view of the street, and the bathroom was also very clean and well-maintained. Lastly, the breakfast buffet and menu prepared by the cook were amazing! Thank you so much, Golden Moon Hotel, for a beautiful stay!

One of my best stays at Hanoi. The bookings manager Jessica helped me throughout the process and also helped arrange other tours like to halong bay, City tour and cabs to and from airport. All the staff were always smiling, eager to answer queries, though few of them didn't speak good enough English (so couldn't understand what's a city tour, or hop on hop off bus), but then Jessica came to rescue. The breakfast was really basic, but did the job. In addition to the small selection of fruits, yoghurt, pastries etc they have at the table, there's also a selection of hot food that the chef makes on demand. The hotel and rooms are regularly cleaned, so i couldn't complain. Location is spot on. Its at the heart of the old hanoi town, so you get ask the business of the city, tens of eateries, transport option, ATMs, corner shops at close proximity. About a km to opera house where you can take the hop on hop off sightseeing bus. Oh! And don't forget, it's a boutique hotel, so you get the rose petals on the bed that was a nice surprise and felt relaxing after the touring overnight flight. :)

Only couple of remarks on improvement points: the TV in the room didn't work and when i tried to complain - i found the phone in the room was dead too. I was dead tired after the halong bay trip, so didn't bother to go down to reception, as i was checking out next day anyways.

we decided to stay here based off of reviews and the hotel itself is as seen on pictures, very clean and spacious. The location is amazing but, what makes this place great is the staff, we have been traveling for a couple of weeks and the staff at this hotel is unmatched. Everyone was so profesional and pleasant, willing to help and happy to do it. It made everything seem more luxurious because you were getting 5 star treatment. I would recommend staying here, you can maybe find hotels that can match the facilities but you want to experience this!

We would book the Hanoi Golden Moon Hotel again anytime! Great location in the middle of the old quarter, shops, restaurants, sights are in walking distance. Our room was very clean and we had everything we needed. Flora and her team are very sweet and helpful and will make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. We had a couple issues on our trip and Flora went above and beyond to help and support us. We also booked two tours through the hotel (Ninh Binh & Ha Long Bay) for a decent price.

The heating mode on our AC didn’t work. Keep in mind, it can get kind of cold around this time of year. But Flora and her team provided extra blankets.

The staff are AMAZING. I know people wrote this in other reviews but they sincerely go out of their way to help you any way they can. I’m also going to miss the breakfast, a great buffet of breads, fruit and other dishes then you can also for free order something from the menu of western style breakfasts or the traditional pho. Tea, coffee, fresh juice. It’s all made fresh daily and to order.

Everything was great. You cannot beat this place at this price level. It’s clean and comfortable.
