Great room and very comfortable.

I don’t understand why you would charge a 10% surcharge when I paid with a Visa debit card. That was really steep and uncommon in my opinion.

I loved the location, the room, the facilities, including the pool and the bar. I was pleasantly surprised and very thankful that when I turned up early to ask to store my luggage, I was told that my room was ready. So I was able to put the bags in my room and then go off and meet friends for the afternoon. I was staying there at the same time as my sister and her family so we did several things together, include enjoy the pool and have pre dinner drinks at the bar downstairs.

The only thing I didn’t like was that I pre ordered a continental breakfast for my 2nd morning and it turned up over an hour late despite 2 phone calls. It eventually did turn up and i think the error was that it went to the wrong room. I was called by hotel staff, the duty manager I think and the charge for the breakfast was refunded. Which was good customer service. The lateness of the breakfast and waiting around for it meant i was running late to shower and get ready to leave as well as enjoy the breakfast. So it was a bit of a shame to end that way, but overall it was a great stay and I will still come back.

Loved the location, the room and bathroom were a great size. There was a full bath which was nice. The cocktail bar was lovely and so was the pool area - although crowded which is expected in summer. The staff and service was great, especially in the restaurant. Would have enjoyed spending a couple more nights there. Will stay again.

More children than I excepted but again it was Christmas holidays and most were well behaved and therefore the pool area was very busy. Getting up early to cater for the crowds at breakfast time but the breakfast options were great.

Location was perfect, easy walking distance to everything in the city centre. Staff were lovely, had the added bonus of a very early checkin, which was fantastic as we were only there for one night, and our flight arrived in the early morning. Our family loved the pool at the end of a very warm day and night out. It was our second stay at Swissotel, and would certainly stay there again. Thank you

Very minor negative were the sheets on the beds. Felt a bit plastic, which the air-conditioning made them feel damp, and then feel hot quickly when sleeping. Other than that, the beds were very comfortable.

Breakfast was really good. Tea and coffee service was sometimes a bit slow, but the food was great and there was a good selection. The staff were all lovely and we would definitely stay again. We had the executive lounge access and it was well worth it even though we weren't there all the time to fully take advantage of it

Drink service could have been a bit faster. The pillows weren't great (could have ordered different ones but we didn't bother) and the doonas on the bed should have been a bit bigger as the beds were very small in the twin room so as soon as someone rolled over the covers were gone.

Central location to everything. Perfect place to stay in Sydney and will recommend it to my friends.

Had 2 days out of 5 where the lifts were playing up. Long long waits. On a couple of occasions we asked advice to 1 of the spa ladies on reception there. Felt like we were inconveniencing her with our questions. 1 was re pool towels could she help or point us in the right direction. The other was if the stairs could be accessed because of the lift problem after a 20 wait. Understand she might get random questions she can’t fix but in all honesty if I felt like a treat spa treatment/pamper session it wouldn’t be here at the Swissotel. Out of entire stay here having 1 person out of the entire staff we crossed paths seem pissed isn’t to bad. All the rest her 100% incredible people from door staff to reception restaurant cafe and our awesome cleaner.

Staff were really friendly, lobby bar is beautiful, rooms are spacious and really comfortable, and the pool area is really nice. The location is excellent! So close to Pitt St mall, QVB etc. I would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast wasn’t quite as advertised (cereal was the wrong type, only 1 slice of toast received and not 2 as ordered - these details matter when you have kids who are fussy eaters). Also, it’s a small detail but it would be good to have face washers in the bathroom.

The location is excellent/superb. It is right in the middle of Sydney CBD. It's near to Hyde Park, Town Hall Station, etc. The staff is courteous. The room is clean. The hotel provides free Lindt chocolate at the reception and concierge, which is a bonus for our kids. We are also lucky when we arrived early in the morning, the hotel allows early check-in because the room is available.

If I can suggest one improvement, would be the sealing on the shower. Depending on the orientation of the shower head, water may flow outside the shower and making the whole bathroom wet. Just need to ask an extra bath mat from reception/housekeeping.

The location of the hotel was great. It was within walking distance to most of the attractions.

The room was pretty standard. As the hotel is undergoing renovations, although we stayed in the executive room, the lounge we went to was a little disappointing. There was no business centre we could use. The beds were really too soft. They advertised that they have pillow & bedding menu, but when asked they said they did not. When we complained about the beds being too soft, & giving us backaches as we would be spending 8 nights there, they said they would put in something to make the beds firmer. That never materialised & we were rather disappointed! The bathroom sink could have been a lot cleaner, especially around the plughole!!

Location, bus boys and the room was excellent. The kiwi gentleman on the door is the heart and soul of the hotel. I don't think I've seen a better representation of a doorman in all my travels. He really made us feel welcome, the kids loved him, a true old spirit from the days of when service was everything. Perhaps he should train the bar staff???

The lobby bar, 4 staff members on they walk to a table and don't look around the room to see if anyone else wants anything. It's a cardinal sin in hospo, they were more interested in getting back to the bar to hang out than serving. I had to approach the bar 3 times to order 3 different drinks .
