Wyndham Resort Surfers Paradise

The hotel is in a great location. The room was quiet, clean and comfy. The air conditioning worked well. Facilities around the hotel were clean and well presented. Car parking was easy to access and free (bonus!)

Staff on check-in where very pushy trying to get me to attend a Wyndham rewards program talk. The lady did not want to take no for an answer when I said I was not interested which made it a bit of an awkward interaction.

Great to ocean view, good kitchen, comfortable bed, heated pool. Happy hour(cheap drinks), Good morning coffee and breakfasts. Much happier staying here than the last place we stayed at.

When we arrived took along time, in telling us about resort and trying to get us to join club, which we didn't qualify. Food in cafe for breakfast, took along time on check out. We couldn't get on to free wifi. Shower hot water took along time to get hot. The furniture needs update.

We liked that the Hotel is close to the tram station, beach, and restaurants. Hotel room was good but you would see that the room is worn out now. Even the appliances looked worn out.

Air-conditioning is not working or broken? Maybe we are not getting it right to work. Instructions on how to make it work would be good

Location was very good being a short walk from the beach and a short drive to the supermarket. Secure parking underneath meant it was easy to bring bags and shopping to the room. Spacious bedroom and wardrobe storage. Comfortable bed. Laundry and kitchen facilities were very good.

Carpets were old and stained in the hallway. Shower leaked so the bathroom floor always had a puddle after showeriing. Toilet cistern continually leaked. Strange fish smell in the room when we left the external doors closed possibly from the restaurant kitchen below after returning from a day out. Lounge furniture was dated and a bit uncomfortable.

The location is very good and convenient as it is near Cavill Avenue with all the tourist attractions, shops, restaurants and walking distance to the beach. The Apartment we stayed at is very big two bedroom, very spacious and its like living at home 🏡. It has really good views of the beach and surrounding buildings.

The only thing we don't like is that the breakfast takes so long to be served from 30 minutes to 1 hour waiting. They should just have buffet breakfast as they maybe have only one cook. Too slow to serve although they do give big breakfast.

large living area that friends could come for a meal, large deck with loverly views over the hinterland. Friendly helpful staff. Nice double glazing to block road noise. Well appointed pool & spa. Excellent parking.

Extra plates, glasses for guests. Four items for each room which equals number who could sleep, but sometimes friends can come over when staying prolonged time. Staff were good in providing the extras. As we were paying for the apartment and not as Wyndham owners, some updates every few days of coffee, dish washing liquid, bathroom container top ups would have been nice. Big problems at present as owners being able to get bookings. All fully booked until the 13th Month. Can not rely on cancellations when you are working & planning holidays. There is certainly no reason to acquire more wyndham points when you can't actually use them post Covid times.

It took me almost an hour to leave the hotel on Monday morning! There was workman utilising the middle lift on check out time on a Monday which was very bad planning on management. I'm alone so I couldn't carry all my luggage and needed a trolley, the lifts were crazy busy and couldn't get my trolley into a lift because they were so busy. Then my card stopped working so I couldn't get to my room. Lift went up and down constantly but it wouldn't let me choose floor 8. Staff walked past and saw the craziness but no one apologised or offered any assistance. I was planning to go on a beach walk after leaving the hotel and before returning to Brisbane to work but because of all this, I had to drive straight to work. I told reception on check out but no response so I won't be back.

We ordered several rooms for our family, all seemed to be different some had things other rooms didn't ie, tv in room, coffee machine

there was some confusion with the rooms when we arrived as their records did not match what we had on Booking.com so it took some time to sort through that. Also the breakfast times were very long wait and it seemed the kitchen was ill equipped to cater too everyone who had vouchers, also ran out of fruit which is a very important dietary requirement for our children, overall it was ok.

Liked everything about my 1 bed apartment. nice early check in and was accompanied by "Levi" to go to my room which was already cool and appealing upon entry. Cheers to Levi. A lovely unit, Vented throughout Aircon absolutely Devine. I found everything in the apartment functional and comfortable, lovely bed, great kitchen, plenty of space and everything clean as a whistle. Nice hinterland views also from lounge and bedroom. Had a small issue with the Dryer not working during my stay, maintenance person on-site quickly fixed a small problem with the dryer door early the next day. Check out was equally friendly and nice with Anna from reception who engaged me in a bit of nice conversation. I think the staff at this hotel are marvellous, both at reception and also in housekeeping. The first time I left the unit to go shopping I was treated to a lovely melody from a housekeeper in one of the rooms being cleaned and responded accordingly. So lovely I thought and let her know that.

Didn't eat at the Restaurant on Level 1 but had several Large takeaway coffees. I found the coffees a bit unpredictable over the week's stay and got a couple of cups which were more froth rather than Large full coffees. Was also under the impression (my fault probably) that $25 breakfast was a buffet but wasn't. $25 for a single plate was actually the Breakfast on offer with other options on top of that. But that did not detract at all from my overall stay.

During our four-day stay at the Wyndham Resort Surfers Paradise, we found the spacious and clean accommodation to be equipped with all the necessary amenities. Although we were disappointed to face away from the water on the third floor, the room itself was clean and fitting for our needs. Being just a short stroll from the beachfront, the location was fantastic. Additionally, the free parking was ample, with generously sized spaces. It's important to note that taking your rubbish with you can help avoid a $25 cleaning fee.

We were generally satisfied with our accommodation, except for one issue. During check-in, a staff member pressured us to attend a time-share conference the next day, which made us uncomfortable and put us off.
