The location really is the perfect retreat for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. We loved the pretty, peaceful bushland setting. The swimming pool is surrounded by plants and palm trees and is a perfect place to relax. We stayed in a cabin with 1 queen, with a single and a bunkbed in another bedroom. The self-contained cabin had everything we’d need for cooking if we chose to. It was spotlessly clean and well laid out. The reverse cycle air-conditioning worked well but we only needed it one of the 7 nights. The outdoor seating on the verandah was relaxing, quiet and fairly private. Only 2.5km from Yeppoon CBD, the Lagoon, beaches, restaurants and cafes it’s nice and close to everything. Loved being able to park right at the cabin and used the immaculately maintained pool every day. We didn’t use the BBQ, tennis or lawn games but it was fun watching the families and children taking full advantage of the great facilities. Kathy, Michael and staff were really helpful and knowledgeable. They made the stay even more enjoyable. We’d definitely stay at Gumnut Glen Cabins again.

For our needs I can't think of anything we didn't like, nor anything that wasn't provided.

The cabins are nicely spaced on the site and are surrounded by well kept manicured gardens. The pool is clean and inviting, the BBQ area has plenty of seating on a grassed area. The setting gives the feel of being in the bush but is only a few kilometres from central Yeppoon. Host’s Kathy and Michael were exceptional

Kathy and her husband were amazing, during our stay. Nothing was an issue. It’s our second time there and we love it. So close to Yeppoon lagoon and Woolies and Coles. There’s a little gluten free cafe up further near the water park on the esplanade.

Wifi is hit and miss. With little kids it’s a bummer especially at night. But otherwise not a deal breaker.

Lovely staff, great pool, beautiful grounds. Good location for accessing town, beaches, GKI ferries. Quiet setting. Fun outdoor games and nice BBQ setting. Teens appreciated the open WiFi.

The cabin was a little smaller than I expected, but cosy. Would be lovely to have some loungers by the pool.

cabins were close but still had privacy. our cabin has its own deck which was lovely to sit on having coffee or meals. Noticed each cabin had its own little garden at the front door which was really cute. Owners Kathy & Michael were very welcoming & friendly. The cabins are just off the main road but will all the gardens & trees you don’t hear traffic. There are a couple of games in grassed area near the pool area to play if you wish to spend the day lazing.

I had breakfast at a cafe on the beach. Gumnut Cabins was located close to the Yappoon beach and commercial centre. Easy to find.

Wifi reception was poor. It could do with a signal booster. My phone reception was bad, but that is an issue with my provider (amaysim).

The cabin was cosy and comfortable. The gardens were lovely and there was a nice pool area. Everything was well maintained. The owner was very obliging as we arrived late. It was a cold night and she had put the heater on to make cabin nice and warm.

That we only stayed one night as we were travelling through.

Kathy was so helpful and friendly and provided lovely options and activities for myself and my 5year old son. The location is pretty, in amongst the trees and green natural spaces, with birds chirping softly in the morning and the tall Gum trees providing lovely shade and scenery. Kathy was a delight to interact with! I will definitely be returning. The pool was lovely and clean. We enjoyed the lawn bowls activity set; as well as the totem tennis and Quoits ring toss game. Kathy and her staff made our stay so comfortable and we honestly didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to come back next time. We will be booking in a longer stay next time. A short drive to the beach. And not far to drive to the shops for groceries. Tucked away and nestled in the trees. Calm and relaxing. Very enjoyable and refreshing.

Can’t fault the place at all. It’s awesome.

Having a beautiful self contained cabin in a lovely setting so close to Yeppoon/ Rosslyn Bay & all the things we needed to do. Also Kathy the owner who went out of her way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

Nothing it was perfect for our needs

the cabins were in an excellent location and each cabin was set up so that you have a bit of privacy each. The pool is nice and you are set up with almost everything that you might need.

the only downfall is that the parking is not right outside of your cabin. others need to be parked well to have a comfortable parking. This is really only a minor thing.
