Breakfast was slow Sour dough bread was dry n over cooked So was the bacon with the egg Benedict Disappointed that we were notified upon arrival that the chef was nit available that night for in house meal And lattes seemed they were made from the water end after a cappuccino was made I ordered latte they were watery Everyone else ordered cuppacino and didn’t complain I’m not normally one to make complaint But $300 per night is getting up There in price If these things were seen too I would come back

I loved everything about the Villa. The staff were beautiful and extremely helpful. Rooms were spacious with top grade toiletries provided. We dined in, food was delicious and great value. Views were spectacular. Presentation was above and beyond what I expected. I felt like I was back in Tuscany. The Villa was recommended to me and I will certainly be recommending it myself. I will most certainly be returning - hopefully soon.

The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't stay longer. I urge you NOT to read any negative comments about Villa Howden. Everything was perfect.

Our stay at Villa Howden was absolutely incredible it felt like stepping into Italy. We went away for valentines Day, and the staff made it so memorable and enjoyable, always extremely attentive and helpful. I would recommend this beautiful place to any couple wanting to enjoy a romantic getaway.

The TV's could have Netflix or some kind of streaming site that a guest could log into to relax at the end of the day.

Feels like being in a different country, beautiful private building, we had a lovely room and the most comfortable beds.. The pool was warm and staff helpful.

Unreasonable charge of $20 on checkout for 4 cups of coffee, one each with breakfast both mornings. Left a bad taste in the mouth after an enjoyable getaway, given the room rate and standard of hotel and the fact we were not told they would be charging $5 for a single cup of coffee with breakfast (where no juice was offered either, only water) this felt both inappropriate and disappointing.

staff could have known more about the area, history of the building, things to do in the area, like visiting Bruni Island or could have informed us of the southern lights that were going to be coming up in the sky around 5am during the mornings during the time that we were staying in the Huon valley instead we had to find out on the news after it had all happened and missed this amazing spectacle- very sad to miss this opportunity.

The location on the waterfront is superb and the whole ambiance of the villa is charming. The staff where friendly and professional and we enjoyed a lovely evening meal.

The time between ordering our cooked breakfast and being served was a little long. Whilst this would indicate that it was being freshly cooked, we did have a tight schedule on the morning we left. If we could have ordered the night before and hence had the meal delivered 10 minutes earlier, that would have made for a more relaxing last morning.

Such a delightful place, in a beautiful scenery. Feels like being immersed in a Hercule Poireau story, luckily nobody were found dead during our stay... :) We spent time by the pool, by the fire place and on the beach. Lovely breakfast, and friendly attentive staff

We loved all the little touches, from the fire being lit for guests to enjoy, to the candles by the bath and the background music playing in our room on arrival. Perfect ambience!

The breakfast left a lot to be desired. It took over 40mins from order to table, it was cold, the toast was burnt and it lacked flavour/seasoning. More care and attention needed in the breakfast delivery.

Lovely decorated boutique hotel, beautiful common area and library , spacious room with fantastic bath and shower, nice view. Good heated indoor swimming pool. Helpful staff especial housekeeping lady.

A la carta breakfast limited in choice , in site restaurant little over priced and staff always occupied. No lift for 3rd floor residents.

Great location and we had a room with a view of the water and gardens. We were here in winter and imagine it would be fantastic in warmer weather and when restaurant is open. We had drinks in the lounge in front of the fireplace and the facilities were very good. Breakfast was better than expected. Spacious, comfortable and very good shower. Loved watching the tassie birds enjoying the gardens and the fountain.

Room needed a repaint, and better colour.
