We had a late checkin and early departure which worked perfectly with the key lock facility. We received a text with all the instructions which was great.

Macedon Ranges Hotel & Spa! 🌟 This 4-star hotel is absolutely amazing. The rooms come with a spa hot tub and offer breathtaking views of the mountains and pine forest. 🌲🏞️ The building might not look impressive at first, but once you step into the room, it's like entering paradise with the breathtaking view. It's amazing how the experience can change once you're inside. It's truly a hidden gem! The place is super clean and tidy, and they even have a natural bathroom, seating area, and mini bar. 🛀🍹 It's the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway! The only downside is that the restaurant is currently closed, but they've got you covered with a welcome note that lists nearby restaurants just 5-10 minutes away. 🍽️🚗 I hope they reopen the restaurant soon so you can enjoy the view while dining. When it comes to the day spa services, it's important to note that booking in advance is necessary to secure your spot. Also, while there isn't a microwave available, they do provide a hot kettle, toaster, iron, and a wardrobe with hangers. Plus, you'll find tea, snacks, and milk in the room, as well as some beer and other goodies in the mini bar. And here's the best part: you're allowed to bring your own food to enjoy in the room! So don't forget to bring your favorite treats, and definitely indulge in a hot red wine for a truly relaxing experience. It's great to know that the room also comes with a TV, although we didn't get a chance to try it out. And it's a bummer that the air conditioning wasn't working properly. Our booking was for a couple and i was a Deluxe Starlight Room in upstairs and great value for money! You can see the pictures i have attached to get a great idea!

Restaurant is closed No microwave in room

Comfortable and clean bedding, soft clean carpets, fireplace is wonderful. Small fridge and coffee area. Large spa bath under large open windows. Large bathroom and spacious shower, fluffy robes, wifi, tv, air-conditioning. Beautiful views with privacy, sliding door and a screen door, for those lovely nights. Shade blinds. Hubby and i stay here often. Staff are helpful. The indoor pool is lovely i really wish it was opened many more hours, night swimming is wonderful mindful and relaxing. This can be a beautifully romantic place to stay, enjoying the stars and has over the last 4 years become one of our favourites.

This visit. A little dusty, the grounds need a little work, restaurant still closed. Usually the diffuser is running smelling lovely and the fireplace is pre lit for us, not this time unfortunately. We had our room made up, unfortunately they didn't replace nearly enough towels, nor did the bed get a nice turn down. But staff were still on site and are always helpful. Looking forward to breakfast ect being available. I would love for the seating area to be a couch, much love.

I was surprised by this place which felt in the middle of nowhere yet proved to be the centre of the most beautiful places. The reception staff were amazing! very far and in-between to get this level of service, they accommodated to our special requests. I am extremely greatful. The room was spectacular and larger than most at a very affordable value, when we arrived they even had the fireplace going for us, so the room was so inviting and relaxing and to top it we had our own dressing gowns and slippers. I would absolutely stay here again should I need to travel up this far again.

Would have loved a balcony to just sit and watch the clouds go past the landscape with a hot cup of tea. If it had that I would come back and book a week or two. But being realistic it doesn't, must be a reason. We still enjoyed my stay and view from the open double doors.

Delightfully large enough with plenty of bathrooms and toilets. The staff were welcoming and more than accommodating of our needs to be at a wedding on time, as we were coming from all directions to be at this special occasion

I was not a big fan of the showers. Our ensuite was a little shabby with the Lino lifting, moulding corners and a strange non slip square looking a little unsanitary on the shower floor. This was no deterrent to the sleep I had, the comfort I experienced nor the fabulous service I encountered.

Nice quiet location off the main highway, extremely generous sized room with gigantic spa. (Didn't use it). Back door opens with view of ranges in the distance (but also a bit of a view of the highway between the trees). Clear climate control instructions - the very large room was quite cold so needed the heater. Very comfy bed. Plenty of storage for bags and equipment (including wardrobe). Bar fridge with basic amenities. Large bathroom also with plenty of thick fluffy towels and toiletries. Followed their environmental policy (towels hanging up not replaced) which was great. Plenty of car parking. The hotel guide had lots of recommendations for local places to visit and eat (as the hotel location is out of town). Free wifi.

It was quiet being away from main town, but it also meant you had to drive somewhere to get dinner or a meal. The free wifi needed repeat login codes every 24h and was a bit patchy, but in a regional area this is not unexpected.

This place is extraordinary. Just beautiful inside. Plain Jane outside, so you think upon entry that it'll be dull, uninspired, mid 90s style motel room chic, but you go in and it's just incredible. Huge raised spa bath with a large viewing window next to it. Scenery outside is pure Macedon ranges. Trees. Forest. Just gorgeous. Bed comfortable. And big. Bathroom, top notch. Very pleasantly surprised by this place. I travel around 15 weeks of the year, have done for 10 years. Never seen such a contrast between inside and outside of a premises. Highly recommended.

Not much at all. I travel with a medium sized trailer and parking is usually an issue. This place has a huge carpark. No dramas at all. No negatives. Not being sucky, I just don't have any negatives for you. Oh, the pizza was horrible, and the receptionist recommended them, so that's kind of a negative :-)

Amazing view, lovely clean two person spa by the window, very large room, clean bathroom, big comfortable bed, nice heater and aircon, easy check in and check out, lovely staff, clean towels and lots of other things to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing time

Restaurant was closed when we stayed there and we couldn’t find any other restaurants open around that country area, ended up going to McDonalds to get something for dinner. Couldn’t find any sleepers in the room. Could hear the noise of other rooms spa pump which was mentioned not to be used from 10pm till 9am but I woke up to hear someone had turned it on at 8am which obviously wasn’t the hotel’s fault. The windows were not clean from outside which was a pity for enjoying the amazing view.

Location was great, view was beautiful, fireplace was a delight, the spa was perfect, it was simply a delight!

There were some cobwebs, dead insects, and black millipede or similar made its way in at one point. The shower also had a damaged door so the water leaked all over the floor but a few towels managed to contain the situation. We also had a cleaner walk in on us 1.5 hours before checkout by accident, thankfully we were changed by then but a knock would’ve been nice 🥴

The room, view and spa were excellent. We enjoyed visiting the nearby towns of Woodend and Macedon. We especially enjoyed going to our favourite place to see Hanging Rock again. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful

With the restaurant closed at the moment, I expressed my concern there was no microwave in the room, this was instantly addressed and I had one to use. Being in our 70's the shower floor was very slippery for us and once again this was immediately addressed and the staff bought us non slip mats
