Room was very spacious, with large double beds, and small table for eating. Toaster, microwave and crockery were provided upon request. Filtered water was provided free of charge as town water had a weird taste.

Not enough off street parking, had to park on the street. The shower water amount was quite minimal.

Reception on arrival was brilliant. A very effervescent Katherine (who is also the residential Manager) provided a very warm welcome and was able to negotiate through an error (of my own making) effortlessly regarding our booking. Plenty of advice given regarding local facilities and amenities and made to instantly feel welcome both to the accommodation and the community. Room was in the historical part of the building, downstairs. While the occasional footsteps could be heard above, it never became an issue. While not overly large, the room exuded comfort, and while within a historic building, also exuded a style commensurate with four-to-five-star accommodation. Contained a large comfortable bed along with table and chairs from which to be able to work. Bathroom was large and very well provided with complimentary toiletries and a shower with two shower heads providing one with choice as to what (and what not) to wash. Excellently located within the small township allowing for a variety of options to be explored for whatever meal or refreshment was desired.

We thought that we had booked a room in a nice traditional inn. That is how the description and photos looked to us. However, many rooms, including ours, are in a building that has nothing to do with that feeling and description. The rooms in that building are not charming at all. Although they are spacious, they have nothing to do with the feeling you get from some of the photos in the old, original building. They are outdated in another way and our room also smelled a bit musty. So if you want to get a room in the old building, make sure you book the right one. For a room in the other building the price is too high in our opinion. The staff is really friendly!

The best thing was the way the manager, Christine interacted with us. We felt extremely welcome and valued as guests, as if she was inviting us into her own home. The cleanliness was exceptional, the outlook from our room onto the garden was lovely and we were very interested to read the history of the well-maintained old building we stayed in (there is an option to stay a newer building on the property).

A very small matter - a hook or 2 in the ensuite would have been a helpful addition.

Location Tranquility beautiful friendly people, gorgeous shops full of surprises, great food all round but had a stand out place to have breakfast called Charlie’s you can dine in up until 3pm highly recommend while dinning watching the waves on the beach roll in, locals walking along the beach and letting their beloved pooches run along the sand made my heart sing what a place I hope heaven is like that just a beautiful place

The truth about what didn’t I like is simply this sadly the Town Ship I use to live in & love is out of control with the Australian affordability to buy a home 🏠 it really is sad gone are the days we are a lucky country housing is unreachable for most of Australians

I absolutely loved port fairy and so thrilled that I picked this little town to stay in and not somewhere else. It is absolutely charming and the rose of Norfolk pines are some of the best or actually the best I have seen in Australia. Full of Birdsong and wildlife. I really loved this location.

My room, sadly, did not have a view but backed onto a hedge. I wish I had had a view or been out the front so I could've listened to the Birdsong in the morning. Other than that the room was very comfortable.

We had a lovely overnight stay at Seacombe House. Christine was a lovely host and had to put up with us arriving at 7.55pm from Adelaide on our night of stay. Sorry Christine! She treated us exceptionally well and explained how everything worked and some options of where to grab a bite to eat owing to our late arrival. Our room was spotless and clearly you have a great cleaning team. Everything thought of including milk for our tea, shower cap etc.. Highly recommend.

Loved this Motor Inn. The room was huge with two big double beds, loved the saloon style bathroom doors - a quirky touch. Beds really comfortable and had a great night's sleep. Also had guest laundry which is always handy. Location was great, right near all shops/restaurants etc - a delicious meal at Bottega Toscana - a short walk from the hotel! The owner was so friendly and helpful too, wouldn't hesitate in staying here again. She even put the heating on in our room so it would be lovely and warm on our arrival. Top marks all round.

Lovely quaint historical cottage with open fireplace which we enjoyed, built ready for us to light with more kindling and wood supplied at our fingertips. Warm tasteful decor, created a wonderful ambience. Very well appointed and spacious interior with all mod cons. Manager, Christines energy and long available hours were to be admired. Christine genuinely is invested in you having a great stay. Very accommodating and informative on arrival. Location is fantastic, boutiques, bakery, bars and restaurants just a short stroll down the street. We bought a crayfish and Doz oysters straight off the boat at the wharf, ate for dinner with a roaring open fire after an invigorating walk to the Lighthouse and along the rustic coast. Inland are just the most pretty cottages and old worldy architecture with majestic pines lining the street. Very scenic and feeds the soul. We ate at restaurants, Lemongrass Thai, and superb Blakes...all quality. Going back one day for a Coffin Sally Prawn Pizza, the only bite we missed out on ! Very enjoyable stay.
