+ Delicious breakfast. You can pick several items from Cafe Placzek's menu. + Cleanliness. We found it very clean. + Spacious room. + Very friendly staff, easy checkin and easy checkout. + Location. It's right in the heart of the city, with everything being within walking distance.

- No elevator. Might be quite challenging for some with mobility issues and/or with a bag. - Bad WiFi. We had to work for half a day, and it was almost impossible to do it on the apartment's wifi. Had to use tethering with our mobile phones. - TV wasn't working (at least the remote for the tuner). - Can be loud during the day. Squeaky floor, quite loud neighbouring doors, can get noisy outside as well (if room is street facing). - No AC. It was ok in May, but might get quite hot in the middle of the summer.

I have absolutely no complaints. The design of the room was chic and modern, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom clean and bright. It was really warm during our stay, but the fan in the room made the heat more bearable. The location is directly in the center, close to both the main squares and the train station. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was a highlight. The cafe has some of the best coffee in the city, and we enjoyed a wonderful espresso tonic in the afternoon. Really, a wonderful place to stay, a total pleasure.

None - no complaints.

The place has a great location. The restaurant is good. I would even say delicious. Breakfast is ala carte and pretty good. In general, I can recommend the place because you can see that owner cares.

The hotel is like an additional place to the restaurant. Where the restaurant is prior. You can see that owners try to.., but it is not working fully. The room was absolutely different from what we have reserved and how it looked like in the foto. It was fine but very small. With the balcony with no way to reach it, only through the window.) The room was clean and cozy but no hot water in the shower, the door handles were falling apart. You need to open three doors with three different keys, and so on. The double bed is made from two single.

The staff were fantastic. My train into Brno was late, so they gave me easy instructions on how to go through the late check out. I then had an appointment in the morning which ran late, but having a slighly later breakfast was no problem. Had a good chat with them in the morning - super nice people. The breakfast was the best I've had in some time - amazing scrambled eggs and coffee (Capuccino made to my order). Breakfast is a la carte from a menu for guests. The breakfast is served in a cafe on the ground floor - given it's a cafe I guess it's no wonder the food is so good. My room had a shared bathroom and was fairly small, but cosy. It was everything I needed for one night. The bathroom was shred with two other rooms, but I'm not sure they were occupied. Anyway, the bathroom was spotless.

It was fairly hot in the room, though I got around this my opening the door to the small balcony. A double bed could probably fit - I had a single which I knew about (so I am not saying it was unexpected) - but perhaps a double would have been possible.

I had a delightful stay at Bed and Breakfast Placzek, and I'd easily rate it a 9 out of 10. The experience was fantastic overall, with no notable issues during my visit. The highlight undoubtedly was the breakfast—absolutely delicious and varied, setting a high standard for the day. The ambiance and charm of the place added to the overall experience, making it a cozy and welcoming spot.

One thing to be mindful of is the check-in time, which aligns with the cafe's closure. While this didn't cause any inconvenience for me, it's something to consider when planning your arrival.

B&B Placzek is a great place to stay in Brno. Not only is the location great…near the town hall and sights, but on a quiet street across from an old church that is definitely worth taking a look inside. One of the best things is an excellent breakfast is included at Cafe Placzek, which might be one of Brno’s best cafes. It certainly seems to be popular with the locals. Martin was very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. I was delighted with my 2 night stay.

Because this is an old building, there is no elevator. If you have trouble with stairs or are traveling with heavy luggage, the steep spiral stone staircase could be a problem, especially if you are on the 4th floor.

Very nice apartment not far from the train station in Brno Old Town. Staff was super helpful, and the café makes great cakes and breakfast. Bed was comfortable, windows opened easily, bathroom spacious and with toiletries. Very easy to walk to the city sites and find you way back. We had an early morning departure and they made us boxed breakfast and to-go coffee for the train.

The spiral stairs are lovely, but a challenge with luggage, this is a very minor quibble as we where on the first floor. Getting to the very top floor is exercise, but a fantastic view down the stairs.

Absolutely amazing central location. Wonderful, stylish café right under the rooms with a separate entrance, neat for late-night adventures. Everything in the room and bathroom was clean and smelled nice, it even had a mini-fridge and a TV, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and those breakfasts… Oh my god. I want to come back just for them!

There’s no lift up to the rooms and quite a lot of stairs, which was okay for me but may not be for everyone. Understandable though, given the nature of the building.

OMG! We like all aspects - localisation is great, close to everything you need in Brno (which is btw one of the best localisations in this part of Europe!), morning breakfasts was so good we are waiting for them from evening before, all staff extra friendly, helpful and funny. Room was small but comfy with very nice bathroom and great view for The church on The other side of The street.

Maybe only stairs for upper levels looked challenging but only for people with some limitations.

The location is perfect - right by the centre and 5 mins to the main train station. Room and bathroom were really clean and the staff were so friendly and I felt welcome immediately. The best thing was the breakfast - you have delicious options to choose from and great coffee in the cafe attached to the B&B. The eggs benedict were amazing! Highly recommend, this was a wonderful stay :)

I was staying in a room with a shared bathroom - would be good to have hooks for towels in the room. Also, soap, body wash and coffee wasn't replenished on my second day. But these are small things that didn't take away from how fantastic my stay was!
