Hotel is in great position close to public transport and Asakusa also on the Sumida River which is good for a long stroll along the river path. Nice to have a soak in the spa after long walks around Tokyo. The #42 bus stops right outside the front door giving quick, cheap travel to Tokyo Station and others along the route. Return stop is only about 100 meters (maybe less) on other side of the street.

I had no real problems with hotel or staff overall. However, it was difficult to explain that I wanted to place travel documents and some other items in a security packet. It seems most of the staff had no idea that they had the facility. I had stayed in this same property at 31st March and had the same problem. Many hotels now have small safes in rooms this one doesn't. I wasn't upset about this and for my part I regarded it as a "training" exercise for the staff involved. But despite the language problems it's hard for me to accept that they are not trained to deal with this request.

APA hotels are brilliant and this one is the most comfortable yet affordable of them all. Soft beds, all lights switchable from the bed, small but well organized room, big desk, lots of sockets for work. Warm yet ventilated. rooms have air cleaners and humidifiers, kettle and small fridge. Two different kinds of shoes and spa-kimono. You get new towels, green tea, and bathroom utensils daily (brushes, toothbrush and toothpaste, hairbands, razors, etc.). This hotel also has the best public spa on the 12th floor which is small but with an awesome view to the Skytree and lit up bridges over Sumida river. The spa has two pools, indoor and smaller outdoor, super warm water circa 41-43 degrees celsius, 3 wash stations, and a standing shower. The hotel is close to Senso-ji temple complex and the Skytree. There is a direct train Skyaccess to the Narita airport, it’s a little slower than the Skyliner, but 2x cheaper.

Most rooms lack the view. Bathrooms have a weird bleach smell. Public bath is small and pretty chlorinated. There is only one washing machine and one dried for the entire hotel. The waiting time for the elevator is quite long when hotel is busy.

We have stayed here before and liked it so we came back again. Aren't APA's amazing! Like I get they are small rooms but they have everything you need!! And they are big enough for us even with a snowboard bag and a massive suitcase. From tea to roomwear and even a cute origami crane. Everything is always clean. There were free movies on the tv. We especially like this APA for the Onsen up on the roof. They even have an outdoor onsen and it has a view over the river to the skytree. We also had a room looking out towards the skytree this time too. Apparently you have to be up pretty high to get a view of the river aswell and they sell out fast but the view of the skytree and the cute kitty in the building next door was a nice surprise for us. They have luggage storage before and after checkin and a restaurant downstairs which does awesome pork bowls. Its a short walk down the street maybe 5-7mins to the elevator entry to Asakusa station to take the train back to the airport and about 15mins to Sensoji Temple. Theres also a couple of good ramen places nearby and several konbinis and a great bento box shop that also sells onigiri.

The only thing that lets this place down is the need to use the checkin machine at reception and also for luggage storage you have to scan a QR code and register and get another QR code for them to scan to retrieve your luggage. Sometimes getting more technology isn't such a good thing. The checkin machines don't always work if you booked through a website like booking.com. Also we have to use lobby wifi to organise the luggage storage as we dont have internet on our phones on holidays except for free wifi.

ONSEN is the best after going out in winter all day. hotel is fully equipped with everything you need .. microwave, ice machine ironing and laundry machines room has everything you need ... nice and warm. staffs are nice. place is clean ...and again onsen is really hot and nice. It's really convenient to travel from Narita ... it's cheap and easy with just direct train. and it costs you just 1200 yen

small room, but that's no the problem at all .......and you can't find big room in tokyo. Just be careful when you choose the room, make sure you choose non-smoking or else, you will suffer a lot

The staff of this hotel was extraordinarily helpful. When we weren’t really happy with our room as it felt a bit claustrophobic there because the window was directly in front of a wall with no curtains, they gave a room with river view with no extra costs for our last night. If you book this hotel I strongly recommend booking the river view because otherwise the rooms feel claustrophobic compared to other APA hotels we have stayed at. Also the outdoor onsen with river view was nice.

Compared to other APA hotels this one is older and therefore a bit more used up. Some stains on the walls, sometimes a bit smelly rooms. They could use a renovation. Also hair on the floor of the onsen wasn’t as clean as we were used to from other Japanese hotels.

Room size is a bit smaller than expected. but we get what we paid for. only the layout could have been better since i can't really unfold my luggages. the room is really clean and within walking distant to 2 train lines which is superb.

Check-in time. there is an email asked what time to check-in and I responded for 3pm. However, I arrived one hour earlier and GSA told me to wait for 3pm like it's my fault. What if I told 1pm? my room will be ready? So, I don't have to wait. It's quite tricky and makes me think twice for futures stay. it's like making a commitment and if you happen to get there early, you have to wait. i might just need to put earliest instead of being honest about my ETA.

The location of the hotel is near two metro lines, Asakusa and Oedo, which makes going around Tokyo easier including a direct route to both Narita and Haneda airports. Public bath or onsen-type bath is great especially that it has an outdoor area where you can feel the cold weather and a portion of the view. The TV has a monitoring system where you can check if the spa is already crowded or not including its operational timing. Lastly, the hotel also has an automated check-in/payment system and a very express check-out which is impressive.

Direction on how to get to the hotel is not clearly stated especially that there other APA hotels around the same area. Not much varieties for breakfast.

I love everything about this hotel. The location is in a quiet area of Asakusa. It's very safe to walk at midnight and at dusk. Near to Tokyo skytree and Sumida park where I watched sunrise on my birthday. There is a 7 eleven in front, nearby supermarket and small restaurants. Near to subway and very accessible going to/from Haneda Airport. The hotel entrance is actually pretty and the facilities are good. There is an indoor and outdoor onsen too. I was able to try the indoor onsen once and it was very nice as I was alone. It was soo good after a very tiring day. It's not open 24hrs though. While the restaurant offers buffet breakfast with good variety of Japanese and western choices. I also tried eating for lunch in their inhouse restaurant and their pork belly bowl was sooo good. As for the room, it's really small but I was alone so it's just good for me. It might be too cramped for two people or more. There was a small walkway before the bed and I could lay open my big luggage in half. The bed is big and comfy too. There is a desk, mini fridge and a full mirror. Coffee and tea amenities are replenished everyday as well as cotton, towels and yukata. I really like that they provide yukata instead of bathrobe. It adds to your Japanese experience. I wished I could take home one though 😅 But it was too late when I found out that the Obi belt is in the drawer. So I was using the yukata without the obi all along. Haha. The bathroom is soo nice too with Japanese toilet and the bathtub is shaped like an egg, very comfy to soak in. The staffs are nice and very helpful. It was a breeze to checkin and out. I will definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back again or try another branch in other areas of Tokyo. Very good for value 💯

Strategic located between Asakusa and Kuramae. A bus stop is directly in front of Hotel. Easy reach to all tourist attractions. Pay a little bit more for river view and you will be mesmerized with the changing lighting of Skytree. Pls look for Exit A2B with elevator if you have large luggages when using Asakusa line. This line has direct access to Narita Airport. Hotel has a small Onsen on 12th floor. Only weekend is crowded.

Room is very small but we are fine with the great price, great view and good Onsen.

There's really no beating value for money here, the location is close enough to everything in Tokyo, and the private rooms are very comfortable. The public baths are also great, and staff is extremely helpful.

APA Hotels are generally designed for short term stay, so the rooms don't have closet or shelf for you to put your clothes into, so things can get a bit unwieldy if you are staying a while and traveling with more than one set of clothes. Personally I would much rather have small closet in the room than a TV.
