Exceptional views, great room, spotless and very comfortable. Staff were very attentive and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great and all the food from the restaurant was of a high standard. Spa was beautiful and treatments were reasonably priced and I had a wonderful experience. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and although we didn’t have a hire car, we used the bus and taxi services to commute between the hotel and Chania town. All in all a great experience with sunsets and sunrises to die for.

Balcony was a little cramped and we couldn’t get any shade from the sun from around 11am to 7pm, even when in the pool it was just too hot to bear sitting out there.

Lagon is really clean and has great views and access to the sun, meaning the pools/balconies are not shaded. The spa is also very nice. The rooms are spacious and have most of what you would need, with a great bed! The staff and owners are exceptional and really take this from 4 to 5 stars. They offer such amazing service and all the food and drinks at the hotel is great.

The 5 star feel isn’t quite there when it comes to the finishes, ie there is a lot of white plastic furniture which makes sense for practicality but makes the place look cheaper than it should. The TVs are extremely small and are not “smart”. The nightstands have a wood looking plastic cover on them, etc. The sunbeds are nice looking but they have a fixed setting so you can’t put them more up or down - just one setting. Very uncomfortable for a whole day.

I have been all around the world, been to so many countries but never felt so good, so welcomed, so cared by the staff like at this place. From the genuine welcome and recommendations from Xrista (Xristoula) to the very friendly night receptionist who brought me a bottle of water in the evening. The breakfast is simply PERFECT, just the feeling that you can be lazy on your room and someone is taking the breakfast to you is simply an amazing experience. So many options to choose and all of them are delicious! Every room has their own little pool, amazing sized rooms with good toilet with the best greek brand amenities Apivita. If there is a perfect place on earth, the name is Lagon Life Spirit Hotel. The perfect boutique hotel where you don’t feel like a guest, you feel like home. I would have much more to share but believe me, this place has no problems at all. I work in Hospitality for 10 years and never felt so good in a hotel like in this place. When I come back to Crete, this is one of the reasons to return. Thank you very much for such an amazing time, for the most genuine hospitality and the care you take on your guests.

The staff were exceptional the moment you step through the door it is pure bliss! The sea view rooms with private pool are worth every penny, the sunset views are stunning! The breakfast included is a really good variety delivered to your room, and you choose your selection the night before - the Oreo pancakes are delicious! The room service food and bar menu is also a nice variety, ordering and delivery to your room was so easy, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The steak, the cheesecake and strawberry mojito mocktail are all *chef’s kiss*! They provide pretty much everything you need all toiletries, both pool and indoor towels, mini fridge with water - the bed and pillows are so comfortable too, shower pressure and temperature all really good! I didn’t visit the spa on site but it looked amazing and is always a bonus. Don’t hesitate to stay, it really is worth every penny and the best experience of a hotel I’ve ever had.

Nothing! Everything was incredible

The staff are extremely nice and helpful. Always smile. The breakfast are good, great varieties and selection. Location is not too bad. Away from the city center, up in the hill. Taxi only costs 10 euro one way. If not busy traffic, 7 euro only. Great location to watch sunset 🌇. You can see the sea and whole city. The only drawback is bathroom and toilet. It is only suitable for a couple to stay not friends or I stay with my son. There is only one sliding door between toilet and shower room. It means you can only do one thing in a time. Also, if you finish shower, you need to come out to put on your clothes as there is no place to hang your clothes or towels. The worst thing is there is no door in the basin area. It is only separate with a low wall and a big mirror. I have to take shower when my son go to gym. Otherwise I have to ask my son to turn his back. Apart from this, we really enjoyed our stay in Lagon Hotel. Definitely recommend it.

Clean, gleaming white boutique hotel with panoramic views from the lovely balcony. Modern and stylish furnishings. Excellent breakfast delivered to your room each morning for al fresco dining. Great shower and pool for relaxing. Easy on-site parking. Skilled masseuse and inviting spa facilities. Most importantly, kind and attentive staff took care of all requests with speed and attention to detail.

Breakfast was fantastic!! It consist of a bit of everything on the breakfast menu. I loved the spacious room with the view of Old Town Chania and the sea. The aesthetics of the lobby (pink and rose gold) spoke relaxation and luxury.

I went for a body scrub in their spa and it was so uncomfortable. Ive had scrubs at other spas and I was not impressed with what I got here. The lady stood in the room and watched as I undressed. I expected oils and salt to be massaged into my body, but I felt she just applied salt on my skin (no oils). After she put the scrub on me, she haphazardly wrapped a towel on me (no robe), I was then required to walk past other people seated in the jacuzzi and/or loungers on the other end of the space to a bathroom that had a spray in the toilet area. There was not a shower but a handheld sprayer. Then I had to walk past everyone again back to the room to finish up. I was scheduled for a massage on the next day, but after this experience I cancelled it.

The location was brilliant, not too far from town, but far enough to enable amazing views over Chania day and night. The hotel staff were all so attentive, they made us feel so welcome, looked after, and made our stay really special. They were great at recommending places to see, dine etc. as well as helping to make reservations at popular restaurants. There were great little touches like offering a refreshing drink while you wait in the lounge, offering complementary dessert after lunch, sending us a bottle of (delicious) wine along with a fruit platter etc. While we would expect this type of service from a 5 star hotel, these things still make a huge difference. The room was spacious (we stayed in an executive room), and we chose a room with a pool, which was a great size and lovely to take a swim in during the afternoon. I liked the fact there was a ceiling fan in the room that allows you to choose between that or AC which can be a bit horrible at night. They have really thought through the design of the room, including things like different lighting settings and automatic drapes, all of which were easy to use. I think we were fortunate to have a room where our terrace had a shaded area though, others did not which I can see some people having an issue with. Breakfast was served in the room each morning and we were able to choose what we wanted as there were healthy options available. The spa is a sanctuary and so well designed. The treatments are also wonderful, and the products used were amazing for the skin. The hotel was extremely clean, and housekeeping cleaned our room, terrace and pool area every day. Every little detail at this hotel in terms of facilities and services was brilliant. I would definitely recommend staying here for a luxurious, relaxing and worry free break!

There isn't anything we didn't like, and if there had been, we are sure the hotel staff would have rectified anything if we had mentioned it, but we didn't have any issues.

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The service was exceptional—truly the best and friendliest we've encountered. Everything about our stay was excellent, making us feel completely safe and well-cared for. We are already looking forward to returning on our next visit to Chania.

Our staff was amazing and made celebrating our honeymoon and my birthday extra special! The rooms were very high tech and comfortable. The reception was able to give us great recommendations for things to do in the area!

The only thing we would have changed would be for our room pool to be heated, but we knew that it wasn't going into booking!
