The Hotel was excellent, as was the service levels and attention to details. The Hotel was equipped with modern and luxurious furnishings and fittings. The rooms and breakfast were first class [as was the restaurant in the evenings]. The hotel is situated outside of the old port area but close enough to walk easily, with many restaurants enroute. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. they even managed to answer all of my many queries [about things to do and go]. All of us loved our stay and would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Thank you for making out stay so enjoyable.

- The room was lovely, very big with amazing views of the sea. The curtains are electric so you can wake up to these fabulous views at a click of a button. - The staff were all very friendly and helpful, with there being a couple of occasions of them personally driving us to places when taxis were taking too long - Complementary bottle of Prosecco on our first day - Great choice at breakfast with meals made to order plus a buffet selection - Probably one of the nicest hotels in the old town area - Modern and clean - Seafront restaurant right on the doorstep

- Location is set back a bit from the busy part of the old town (about 20 minute walk) - The nearest beach with sun loungers and space was about a 45 minute walk or you would have to hire a taxi / drive

We went to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Staff, especially Sylvia, were very kind and very helpful. They even managed to organize a cake and candle for his birthday at midnight. All in all, extremely good service. Have not seen a more helpful and accommodating staff. Will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and very luxurious stay. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice, not enough stomach! The view from our room was out of this world.

It was a bit difficult to find, perhaps some signage would have been helpful. However, that being said, a lot of it is out of the hotel's control. The façade is unassuming and this is what threw me off a bit. I think it is definitely easier to access with a car.

We loved our stay at The Tanneries Hotel. The building is tastefully refurbished and exemplifies understated elegance. The room was spacious and had an amazing sea view. There is a generous breakfast selection which you can enjoy while sitting near the water. Staff were helpful and accommodating.

The Tanneries is a hidden gem in Chania. The hotel is located at the waterfront, boasting amazing views and offering a whole new class of experience. The design is unique and all details are carefully taken care of. The rooms are spacious, elegant & cozy with amenities which exceeded our expectations (steam shower, super comfortable bed, huge bathroom). Don't miss to visit the restaurant & the wellness center; they are both definitely one of a kind! All staff at the front desk, spa and restaurant went the extra mile to make us feel at home. Overall highly recommended both for a winter city trip and summer vacations.

I can't really think of anything. Parking might be challenging at peak times but the hotel has a solution for this too, which we didn't need to try.

This Amazing newly refurbished hotel is secluded and on the waterfront but close enough to Chania ‘s Old Town and Harbour .The views and the sound of the gentle waves below make it a truly exceptional choice for a holiday break. The staff are ALL so polite and accommodating especially the two brothers Yannis and Nectarios who even offered to drive us , in turns, to Elefonisi beach and Rethymno a must during your stay in Crete. The hotel boasts all the perks possible ,with a steam room in each suite. The atmosphere at dinner time on the waterfront is relaxing and definitely the Best Restaurant in this area.

The hotel is one of the best we've ever stayed in. The room is designed with minalism and modernity. The view is simply outstanding: you wake up just with the sound of waves. The location is really great: it's 15 minutes away by foot from the center of Chania (it's very difficult to find a parking spot there anyway). And the walk on the coastal road is very charming. Last but not least : the breakfast is simply outstanding with so many options to choose from (buffet and a la carte). We had an unforgettable stay.

This hotel is an example of how you can love your guests. Upon entering from the slightly intimidating street on which the hotel stands, you find yourself in a symbiosis of absolute comfort, hospitality and attentiveness. The administration tries to help in fulfilling any wishes of the guest. And this happens clearly, with deep sincere respect and from the heart. Many thanks to Sylvia for everything! Also a delicious and stylish restaurant at the hotel - from breakfast to dinner - is an example of attentiveness to the preferences of guests. A couple of days later, the restaurant staff still knew perfectly well which wine we had on the first night and what we liked about the food specifically. Special thanks to the sommelier by vocation, the charming Iro, for guessing our wine moods every time! These days it's dangerous to enjoy what "everyone knows everything“ about you, then The Tanneries has such a family approach and modern management system that all that's left to do is enjoy it, which is what we did. And yes, the parking lot is not by the hotel, but 200 horizontal and 10-15 vertical meters away, but you will gladly be driven away and have your car brought to the entrance. Everything about our 7 night stay was wonderful. Chania as a destination is a must, there is so much to see and do. The hotel is 5 minutes walk to a lovely beach front full of trendy bars and restaurants. 10-15 minutes further for the old Town. Personally we loved the location and didn’t even have a car - we enjoyed walking and just got taxi’s to the beach/ winery’s on odd days. I cannot fault this hotel at all and wish we were there for longer! Thank you Tanneries

The only thing I would change is having a bar open/ access to cocktails during the day. However, I did order via room service when getting ready which was lovely

Beautiful hotel, big comfortable room, amazing location right by the sea - it was lovely to have breakfast outside next the water every morning.

It is quite a long walk to Chania Old Town. We didn’t mind that because it’s a nice walk along the water-front, but it was further expected.
