The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was easily accessible. The centre of the city was about a 10 min walk away. The hotel breakfasts were delicious with lots of great options. The room was huge, with an enormous bathroom, which was great for our family of three. Everything was clean and tidy. There is an information computer in the lobby that provides lots of options for activities, music, theatre, dining in town, so I got lots of ideas from that. Additional notes: The City Sightseeing bus has a stop up the street in front of the Butter Museum. St Anne's Church and the Butter Museum are just up the street (about 100m away). St Anne's has the most spectacular 360 degree view of the city and lets you play musical tunes like Amazing Grace on their bells, and the Butter Museum is quaint and fun.

The executive suite was spacious and very comfortable! The breakfast buffet was fantastic, so many things to choose from. The food served in the bar area in the evening was delicious! All of the Staff were friendly and fun, and so helpful and accommodating.

The only things that were a little hard but couldn't really be helped because of layout or logistics... parking was a bit of a challenge, and the rented banquet room right beside the lounge was a bit noisy and created a lot of people and children traffic back and forth from the bar. But every one was having a good time and celebrating so it was fun to see.

Lovely room, extremely comfortable bed, fresh soft towels and bathrobe. Good breakfast with good choice (however no vegetarian alternative to sausage/bacon offered). Only complaint was being charged nearly 10euros for a small bowl of plain pasta with no sauce for a small child in the bar, however Vivienne in the bar who served us was delightful and very helpful. All the staff I spoke to were very friendly and helpful

Good location, nice big room and bathroom, great to have use of the swimming pool. Majority of staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel needs a bit of TLC for eg the hallways on the 4th floor need repainting, our window was broken and the pool had broken tiles on the ground. The room was also very warm but I realise that was due to the weather. Every member of staff was really helpful and friendly with the exception of the staff in the breakfast area. They were incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful. There was no water or juice out and we asked 4 times to get some before anyone did anything about it, and even then she only brought 1 small jug of water which was finished in about 30 seconds by other guests. The hotel seems very expensivefor what you get, although that may be Cork in general.

We loved the breakfast offering and quality of the food. We also loved having a pool available. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they had "cop on". Practical and efficient.

The weather was very warm so in turn the rooms were very warm. I am not a fussy or pedantic person and i dont tend to complain unless things are very bad but i will say the cleanliness wasnt great. We had a disability bathroom and although it was adeqately clean, the grout in the shower was grotty. The kids were playing on the floor and pushed the bed and there was a huge amount of dust around the beds. Also, we were a party of 7 (had 3 rooms) and had travelled from mayo for George Ezra concert. We would all have loved a dip in the pool after the journey. We arrived circa 6pm and were told it was too late to go to the pool with the kids which was disappointing. We had to get up at 8 the following morning so that the kids would have a chance to swim before we checked out.

Very accommodating restaurant wait staff, and front desk. Hotel location was very good,. Breakfast was extremely good, with a variety of delicious baked goods, fresh fruit, wonderful yogurts, and plenty of hot food choices. The breakfast area was bright, cheery and a welcoming place to begin the day.

Bathroom shower water was quite low pressure, but bathroom was very clean. If you forget to pack a shower cap, for your hair,, the front desk does not offer or sell a disposable one. This would be an easy and very inexpensive problem to solve!

This was our first time visiting Cork. The hotel was in a perfect location and staff were very helpful with all the relevant information that we needed. The facilities were fantastic, we used the pool and sauna. Unfortunately we did not get to eat in the hotel as we were on a tight schedule. Staff were very friendly and our return flight to the UK was not till the evening. We were able to leave our luggage to do more exploring and wait in the foyer for our taxi which was a great help. Will definitely be returning to this hotel. Well done you were amazing.

We've stayed here before and hopefully will again. The staff is super attentive. The hotel is clean and well located in the Shandon area of Cork City. I love the large lobby where we can sit visit. Thanks for hosting the Mother Jones Festival - that's why we came.

Didn't like the lack of facecloths and conditioner in the bathroom. Would have liked the pool to stay open later. Given a busy day, there was no time for a swim. When there was time for a swim before bed, the pool had closed!

Stayed for two nights on a Mum and daughter weekend away for Holy Communion dress shopping. Our deluxe family room was super spacious and comfortable. We had dinner on both nights at the Bar Restaurant and the food was really good. Breakfast was also good. Delicious sausages. My little girl enjoyed the pool so much but her very favourite thing about our stay was Maria in Reception. Maria's warmth and special attention was a highlight of the trip to the extent that my little girl didn't want to leave and although all the staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful, Maria was an absolute gem, she's a real asset to the Maldron.

Would love to see delineated wet and dry areas in the pool changing rooms (areas where outdoor footwear are not to be worn.)

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention goes to Summer on reception as she went above and beyond to help us. The hotel is in a very central location to the main city so there's easy access to the shops and other amenities. The room had a simple but effective layout, including kettle and tv and a brilliant bathroom and shower. Breakfast likewise had a good deal to offer, whilst not overly extensive, there is no doubt there will be something you'll like.

Nothing really stood out to me as making a bad impact in the hotel.
