The only thing I did not like about my stay on Onomo was that, the Taxi Driver around didn't like other drivers from outside to park front the hotel to drop off or pick up guest who are staying in the hotel. And I found that very disgusting, I reckon the hotel authority must do something about it as soon as possible.

Great location. Literally a few steps away from the mall. Friendly staff Clean Showers are great Breakfast was good for the price (it is buffet and no longer order off the menu) Good wifi

There needs to be a sign to say uber cannot collect you infront of the hotel and can only be collected and dropped int he main road. There are taxi guys that tax the Ubers if they stop at that road because its taxi territory. They get quite violent from our experience. Rooms are super tiny. Wish they had a bar/room service that opened later but this is not a deal breaker. No room service was offered. If there was an option, it was not indication that this was an option JHB is very dry. They should include bottle water in the room. Most 4star hotels offer this.

I arrived early and they had me in a room by 11:00 am. The rooms were small, but very clean and modern. Loved the rainfall shower and free wifi. I did not experience loadshedding while there.

That the main dining space shared an entrance to the garage, and you could smell the car fumes because the doors were left open. I skipped breakfast after day one because of this. Also, there was a feud going on with taxis adjacent to the hotel and Nelson Mandela Square and the taxes bullied Uber drivers and forced customers to meet the Uber driver away from the hotel up the street. That was very disturbing. I think the hotel should ask the City to do something about this. I am 72 and I didn't appreciate this. Today, the Uber driver parked on a main street and came for my luggage and pushed my bags up the street to his car to get me to the airport . I trailed along. Fortunately, I am in good health and could make that walk.

The location of the hotel and the receptionist were easy to approach and very nice especially the morning staffs. Also, i felt comfortable in the room and serene and clean atmosphere.To conclude, i felt like am home ,everyone was nice not excluding the staffs at the restaurant.Thumbs up to you Onomo, will recommend to anyone coming for a visit/vacation to book this very hotel.

The weather was very cozy that i was not comfortable to sleep. Wish there could be a warmer as there is an Air conditioner. Also, i starve a bit since i couldnt eat the dishes they have except breakfast which was provided for us as buffet . My suggestion is the restaurant to blend some Africans food at least if the person order it can be prepared for him/her. With this we can fully enjoy our stay. Thank you.

This was my third stay in this hotel. The quality has clearly improved compared to my first stay 5 years ago. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel is ideally located just next to Nelson Mandela Square. The area is safe. The room is quite small for 2 people but large enough if you stay alone. My room was equipped with a new safe which this time worked and in which I could store my laptop. The LED strips have been replaced by a more functional lightning. The bathroom and the shower were great. A kettle was available. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk were restocked every day; but unfortunately now drinking water provided. Wifi was reliable.

TV was not working (no signal) but honestly I didn't need it. Some small improvements would be nice; for instance: A bottle of water at disposal to use with the kettle (tap water tastes really bad). A shower cap in the bathroom would be nice to have.

Location was perfect and walkable to the convention center where we attended our annual Huawei Sub-saharan Regiona Partner Convention. It was Clean however hot water in the shower wasn't really that hot. Very close to the Mall.

I never liked the Staff. We were double Charged for water and only refunded after we asked for the manager. One staff was rude because i needed a break down of how my $100 was split after the exchange rate kept changing from R19 to R17 and they told me there was no exchange receipt. I felt Scammed. On arrival, one staff recommended we take tap water in the bathroom after we asked why there was no drinking water..?

Location is perfect just next door to Nelson Mandela square. There are also beautiful views especially from upper floors, the room and bathroom were sparkling clean. The bed was more than comfortable.

The service at the restaurant service is poor, they are very slow to take orders and to bring back your meal, one can eventually leave without eating. You can wait an hour just for an omelet. There is no bar fridge in the room. There is also no wardrobe for someone staying for longer days. The inners in the duvets are old.

The staff was very accommodating and the location is excellent. This is my 6th stay at this property and I come back all the time. It is conveniently located opposite the Sandton City Mall with several restaurants and shops to choose from - the gautrain station is also a short 2 minute walk away.

I would of preferred if the TV was Netflix-enabled. The selection and quality of TV channels is not great.

The fact that they made a huge effort to check me in early as possible as I rocked up just after 6am. They let me work in the reception bar area and check in just after 10am.... also, I never did but they were prepared to let me take the free breakfast that day of check-in, instead of the normal next day, but I didn't as my plans changed.

Nothing really, could do with dstv rugby and cricket on TV, but nothing major, maybe access to a fridge?

The location is great. Easily accessible from the Guatrain which is only 15 mins from the airport. It is also right next to the Sandton City Mall so really convenient for shopping and for restaurants. And lastly, the price is great.

The 'restaurant' is quite basic. The food is good but it is clear that the focus isn't on the restaurant. Understandable with the mall so close by and food choices on offer there.
