Room space

First of all, it is located in a very good location. It is near Kitahama station where you can go to Kyoto by Keihan Line easily and cheaply. From Kitahama you can walk (inside the station or on the street) to Yodoyabashi in 10 minutes to access the Midosuji Line which can take you too all major stations in Osaka - Shin Osaka, Osaka, Umeda, Gamba, Tennoji etc. The area is not a busy shopping area but office area, so it is not too chaotic, very peaceful, yet well maintained and easy to get anything you want. The building is new and has a good size of lobby to hangout. The staffs are helpful. The property has washer-dryer machine on the first floor too.

The room is quite packed for 3 persons, though it is a Japanese standard. The layout is not quite convenient for 3 people.

The room is very clean and even with 3 people staying it didn't feel cramped. The hotel also has a more eco policy where items like toothbrush and moisturisers are provided at a self-service station, and guests can take what they need. It has a refrigerator which is great for us to keep some fruit and snacks. Microwave oven is also available in the hotel if we would like to heat up any takeaway food. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality as I did not have a great experience in Best Western in another country previously. The neighbourhood is quiet and a little further away from the city centre but still accessible, it's very near to the Nakanoshima Park which is a beautiful rose garden, it's lovely to go there in the mornings with the fresh air.

Bottles of water were not provided but we can refill with drinking water. For the TV, only 1 English Channel (CNN) all the other channels were in Japanese (or 1 in Korean), but it was interesting to watch the Japanese channels.

The staff were very helpful and spoke some English. But it was helpful to have Google translate on hand as well. They have 2 washing machines in the lobby for guest use and the location was great for our purpose. Close to two train stations and a Family Mart as well as good cafes. Beds were comfortable and they had AC and heating as well. Bathroom was a good size and the cleaning crew were very quick to clean the room.

They kept replenishing slippers and pajaymas when we didn't need it so you need to let them know not to replenish it. Otherwise we ended up with 6pairs of slippers. They did take away the pairs that we didn't use.

The staff (including cleaning staff) were very friendly and helpful. The rooms and facilities were so clean! The hotel is very close to Kitahama station and about an 8min walk to Yodoyabashi station. The room overall was a nice, relaxing space after a long day of walking around. There’s cafes, convenience stores and a supermarket nearby so you won’t have trouble finding something to eat.

There’s only two machines in the laundry room so you may have to wait a while until you can use it. Also, travellers with large suitcases might find it a bit difficult to sort their things as they may find the room a bit small, though I personally had no issue with it. Everything else, absolutely loved.

Absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay at the hotel. The location is good. Not far from the bustling touristy areas, but also not in the heart of it to have a bit of calm. Check in was smooth and the staff was very nice and helpful. Room is what I was expecting in terms of size in Japan, but more than enough space for two. Bed is comfortable and the humidifier is a nice addition.

Complementary water and snack would be a nice plus. Additional TV channels. An explanation from the staff of what is interesting to do around the hotel (places to eat, visit etc.) These are just some plus, there was not really anything I did not like.

The staffs are helpful, and able to communicate in English. I arrived early so I dropped off my luggage, they kept it just in front of the front desk. The check-in process is smooth, and the staff gave clear information about amenities provided (placed on a rack on ground floor next to the elevator, self service). I booked this hotel because I was attending an event held in Osaka City Central Public Hall, it is just 7 mins walk from the hotel. The hotel is also located very close to Kitahama Station, easy to travel around with train. The room is in good size, a bit bigger than living in the Nanba area according to my past experience. As I remember it is 2 double sized beds for 2 person, the beddings are just hotel standard, enjoyed some quality rest here. The house keeping is great as well.

There were only 2 washing machines (they are washer dryer) in the hotel, although it looks like a new machine, it just not working that well. I do my laundry 3 times in total, the drying function is not able to dry up the clothes completely, I still have to hang my clothes in room every time after the drying (I choose 1-1.5hr drying depends on amount).

Quiet area with restaurants, metro stations closeby, not far from Shin Osaka or Umeda station. Osaka castle or Dotombori area is within walking distance. Room is decent and quiet. Internet works well.

Beddings could be improved, using bedsheets that are not fitted or large enough to be fully cover the mattress and tucked in is not very pleasant for use especially when in the middle of your sleep you realise that the sheet has come off or rolled up entirely, not nice to be in contact with mattress directly. Would have also preferred the type of duvet cover that does not leave big hole for duvet to come out easily. Just for comfort and hygiene reason. Shower holders requires replacement, it does not hold the shower head in place due to water pressure and moves from one side to another without staying in place aiming right direction, can wet the whole bathroom.

Kindly welcomed by reception staff. The Room is very spacious, I mean, compared to other hotels'. It was clean but I have found some dust on that nice digital clock on the nightstand. A long desk, chair, and a lamp are available, just in case you need to check some documents or use your computer, This is good, unlike some other hotels I have stayed at in Japan, there are no decent desks. The location was great, easy access to Kitahama station, several fast-food restaurants and convenience stores are just around the corner, it takes about 20 minutes to walk from Osaka station to the hotel, very quiet community at night. It seems like many foreigners chose to stay here. Given the little money I have paid, it's definitely worth it.

Perfect location in Osaka (train station is a two minute walk away!) and staff was very friendly. Provided a relaxing atmosphere to kick back to after a day walking around Osaka. Also, we were able to ship our luggage to our next hotel with the help of lobby staff and that is something I'll be forever grateful for.

There was nothing I didn't like, but the hotel is very simple. I didn't participate in any of the services they provided but it was a great place to stay for a few nights. It might be different if you spend a longer period of time there, however.
