From the moment we arrived, it was like stepping into a calm and beautiful sanctuary. Both my husband and I appreciate great design and the thoughtful architectural features of the lobby did not disappoint. We arrived at 0900 due to an early flight and the staff welcomed us and stored all our luggage until check-in. The double room was very clean and neat and enough size for two people who were only using the room at night to sleep - we spent morning to night exploring so didn’t need anything extravagant. Breakfast was a great nutritional spread of European continental, Japanese and pan-Asian offerings. Fantastic dining space. We’ll be returning to Japan and Osaka, and I would pick the Resol every time.

THIS IS NOT A CRITICISM - there was nothing we did not like. However, it would have been great to have a non-caffeinated tea option for evening tea consumption - some kind of herbal tea for those who are susceptible to the caffeine in green tea!

Breakfast is a buffet with both Japanese and western dishes. In general the variety is high and the quality of EVERYTHING was great. I tried out everything they had on offer and stuffed myself repeatedly. I loved it! The other great strength was the Onsen they have. The operating times were from 6 am to 1 am when I stayed - I could go in the morning, be out all day for adventure and come back and still go take another dip. This was unbeatable and turned this into my favorite place to stay in Japan. I loved it!

Finding the hotel was a struggle at first - I walked past the entrance several times. I came to appreciate the entrance, but when I first arrived I really had no idea.

I like the location a lot, only 6 mins walk with luggage from Kitahama station, and another 6-7 mins walk to Yodobashi station. Love the neighborhood a lot, it is very quiet and decent, away from all the tourist places, half an hour's walk or a few stations to the main Shinsaibashi station to shop and eat, 20mins to Umeda, main transportation transit. I love the cute and decent chocolate shop right beside the hotel, love all the recommendations for Izakaya by the staff, and love that there is a nice bar Inc & Sons just 4 mins walk from the hotel. love the vibes in the neighborhood a lot. Love that the hotel provides laundry facilities, also a working room for digital nomads like me. Wifi is pretty fast, nothing to complain.

The night shift staffs seemed to have poorer English communication skills than the day time staffs. Suggest that the hotel could provide in job training for the staffs. Yet, they are very helpful. The last night before I left, perhaps after public holidays? the onsen was dirty, hairs and skins in the onsen water, and the male room smelled like pee (as according to my partner)

I love the ambience and the vibes of the place. I have light sensitivity so the dim light setting mad it really comfortable for me. They let me drop my bags off early and I overall liked the location. The bath house was nice after a long day and it’s open relatively late so you can soak after a long night out. Also I love that they had a washer and dryer. I was in Japan for 3 weeks so it was crucial I had access to washing my clothes 😂

The Onsen water had more floaties than I expected but I blame it on the guests not showering before using it (side eye)

The room was comfortable, just big enough for one person with one piece of luggage. It is nicely furnished, and you can open the window, which was very important to me. Overall a good stay, with some improvement could become much better.

The air in the room is super dry. I woke up every morning with very red, dry eyes and dry throat. Plus the combination of dry air and synthetic carpet and slippers makes you electrify permanently :/ The bed is a bit too firm for me (but this is surely personal taste). The water in the public bath was unfortunately not so clean, so that I had to shower again after bathing. Quality of the hand detergent and body soap quite poor (dries the skin very quickly). They also could provide better tea quality in the room as they only give two tea bags

A fabulous little hotel with a great facade, even better staff, great amenities, excellent location with access to multiple subway lines, number of convenience stores, cafés, Izakayas and great eating options. if you like to walk, most notable locations are within 15-20 mins from the hotel. Rooms are cute and very clean. The property itself is very clean

We had a twin Room. it was a tad bit small. Not much space to manoeuvre. Storage space is limited.

Beautiful, gorgeous hotel, especially the lobby. Definitely feels upscale and luxurious. Staff are lovely and helpful, very kind to foreigners and some spoke very good English. The room was clean, serene and comfortable. I liked that I could open the window for fresh air and I enjoyed the amenities provided. Indoor onsen was very well-equipped and clean, and I enjoyed using it. Convenient location.

Nothing really. Worth the price!

This is a great hotel. We loved the onsen at the end of a long day. The rooms are clean and location is great! The rooms are pretty average sized for Japan. There are wending machine on some floors. Coin operated laundry is available within the hotel. Very close to Yodoyabashi station which is on the kehain line and perfect for a day trip to Kyoto.

There weren't many good options nearby.

I don’t speak anything past basic Japanese, and the staff don’t speak past basic English. This isn’t really an issue, as we just use the translate app, but if you’re someone who would be unfairly annoyed at thus don't stay!

This is a great hotel! The staff is very friendly, the design of the hotel is amazing, the facilities are lovely and the location is great if you want to explore Osaka. Would definitely stay here again.

The bathroom wasn’t very clean (stains on the mirror, shelves and hair behind the toilet).
