Nice view, fast and easy check in and check out and staff were friendly. Good sized room that was nice and clean, bed and pillows were super comfy. I was right next to the elevators and ice machine but the hallway traffic was never too loud. Good location in the city close to a lot of amenities, good amount of parking available

Hotel is located near a hospital so you may hear sirens throughout the day, it did not bother me too much. All plug sockets in the room seemed to be VERY loose and there were multiple times my electronics/chargers would simply just fall out of the wall

We only stayed one night. We arrived very early after leaving a cruise ship arriving about 09:30. The staff was very helpful and stored our luggage for us. We made the decision to stay in the lobby until our room was ready. Staff had told us it would be 1:30pm which was early to the 3:00pm check in. To our surprise and amazement, they had our room ready at 11:30. WOW! It was a large room with a beautiful view. The staff had someone bring up our luggage. A very nice plus. We ate lunch and dinner in the restaurant. The food was really good. We had a French dip. And for dinner we had a mixed salad with an appetizer (ribs) and Mississippi Mud Pie for dessert. OMG! Yum! The restaurant staff both times were great. Very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend its convenient and the service and food was fantastic. We left early the next morning and the staff booked us a cab the day before. The cab arrived early and got to the airport in plenty of time.

Room fees were very expensive.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room-cleaning was exceptional and housekeeping needs to be congratulated for this! The breakfast buffet was very adequate. At first I was concerned at the location as I had expected a downtown hotel. However, it ended up being an ideal location, surrounded by many eateries, stores, supermarkets, near the Metro to downtown, and a wonderful waterfront walkway, which led to Granville Island and beyond. I would definitely recommend the location as it gave me more personal choice and independence.

The hotel has huge potential but it is "tired" and in need of renovation. I was a bit shocked when I saw the reception area with a plastic-covered ledge, and some very used and unattractive armchairs in the lounge space. The elevators can take ages to come, which is very frustrating. The hot water for the tea at the buffet definitely needs to be hotter as it soon cools down in the teapots. I gave up drinking tea for breakfast and made it in the room where there was a kettle.

Unfortunately we did not find the front desk help to be very "on the ball." That was the case for a few different people we dealt with. They weren't rude, but they were very slow. One example, they couldn't find my reservation until I showed it to them on my booking app. They blamed Booking claiming that they switched my first and last name (put my first name first instead of my last) Bogus as you can see. The desk person was not too competent or fluent in English. On the other hand, the porter or bellman (I'm not exactly sure what his official job is) went above and beyond to help us with our needs and did it with a full heart and a smile. I wish I wrote down his name. The room and the hotel in general was clean. It was also in a convenient location near the subway.

The efficiency at the front desk.

This seemed like an old Holiday Inn raised up to InterContinental standards. An excellent, full service breakfast was included. (The waitress went above and beyond, giving tourists great advice.) The hotel was well-staffed and everyone was very helpful and friendly. The neighborhood was especially convenient. in spite of our late arrival, we found good outdoor dining options within the same block. The hotel is close to a Whole Foods so it was easy to buy provisions for our camping trip to Vancouver Island. We had a balcony room with a great view of downtown.

For me, the price seemed a bit high. I would have cancelled if I’d known that booking.com required 48, rather than 24 hours notice.

Our room was large, very clean and in excellent condition. The bed was extremely comfortable and housekeeping staff were respectful of our schedule in getting in and out quickly - typically while we were eating breakfast downstairs. We enjoyed our morning breakfasts and found the wait staff delightful. We also really appreciated the front desk staff’s help in getting us into our room early on our first day. Liked the express check out.

The staff at the time of check in were amazing. One in particular was so great with our son. He was talking to him about his pillow that he brought, asking when he lost his tooth and really made my son's night by taking the time to interact with him. Unfortunately we didn't catch his name but that initial first impression really set the bar for our short stay.

The bathroom was great and stocked very well soap, shampoo, conditioner, shoe shine, mini sewing kit and shower cap. It would have been nice to have a few q-tips for those quick trips when you forget to pack some.

Anna was extremely helpful in accommodating our special requests. All staff were pleasant and helpful.

the main entrees at the breakfast were cold. it would be nice to have the scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and meats warmed up. it was very nice to be able to order special egg requests and the fruit was fabulous.
