The room was lovely and the staff were nice, good central location

The buffet breakfast wasn’t as good as I thought for the price point and the internet didn’t work so we could not stream to the tv during our stay unfortunately.

The room was good, it was clean and the styling was a nice change from the modern minimalist hotels - the sink vanity had a nice charm to it. The mini fridge was more powerful than other hotels I've been to, some only slightly cool it but this one seemed to properly chill drinks and food. The staff were friendly and accommodating as we arrived a little early and gave us options to a request before checking into our room. The pool, sauna and jacuzzi were good to visit and had a pleasant transparent ceiling.

There were no photos of the spa bath so I hoped for it to be a large square one but it was a regular sized one so if you're a particularly tall human who likes to indulge in hotels this one wont fit you. (Though there is a jacuzzi on the top floor) The sink was very small and barely fit the provided kettle into it to fill it up. The elevators were a little slow (though one was out of service at the time)

Helpful staff on arrival helping sort parking. Easy to access via tram and walk everywhere in city great location. Excellent facilities and good sized room.

We arrived back late after a concert and ordered room service 11.30pm, everything we ordered and paid for was not available, what arrived was three pies you could buy at Coles for $2.50 each, we were charged $68.00!!!! Absolutely ridiculous.

It was okay but the rooms were a bit old.

The bathroom was pokey and you had to step into the shower- which is a bit dangerous although there was a handle!

One bedroom was good king bed comfy . Kitchen had 2 hot plates microwave and fridge . Two TV and comfy couch . Pool and gym were good in a hot weekend . Position really good 20 mins walk from QV markets , art gallery and botanic gardens . Lots of good food options nearby ( Vietnamese was great )

Pool wasn’t very big so when the kids arrived in the afternoon was impossible to do laps . The louvre sliding doors for the bedroom were not sound proof or adequate to block noisy kettle/ partner . Nearby parking at First was cheaper then the hotels recommendation ($35/$55) . I didn’t have my drivers license so had trouble booking in !! Make sure you take photo ID !!

Close to pretty much everything in the city

It took a long time for our room to be reset & cleaned, We left for the day at 10am & returned @ 4.30pm, The room had not been cleaned yet, we spoke to staff at the front desk & asked why the room hadn't been cleaned yet, Staff tried blow us off saying they had a lot of check outs & the cleaning will clean the room in due time, When my wife asked for some sort of reimbursement for the inconvenience of having sit in the lobby & wait for the cleaner to clean the room, Staff called the cleaning team straight to our room to clean. 5.30pm we were told by front desk that cleaning team had just finished cleaning, No apologies, Nothing

Always wonderful coming to the Stamford Plaza accommodating professional and we love the rooms. The traditional Miso Soup stand for the buffet breakfast which has been such a wonderful taste over the years. The taste was very special and the display stand looked simply exquisite. The buffet breakfast chef also prepared a lovely omelette for us. Of course the bathroom in the room is very special we love the fit of it with those tiles and gold trim.

Our late night room service order the cheese and tomato toastie was slightly burnt on the one side. I also forgot my bathers and wished I could have gone for a swim in the beautiful pool so next time I won't forget

Stay at this hotel often. The beds are very comfortable, the pool and spa area are great. Robes are thick and soft. Location is great, right near tram stops so easily accessible. Staff are wonderful, helpful and attentive. I would highly recommend this hotel. It's beautiful to walk into.

Overall a good experience. However if I was to provide any feedback, the rooms could use some updating. The spa had a lot of small tiles missing. When booking a room for 4 people, please supply 4 towels / 4 robes. Unfortunately we did not enjoy the buffet breakfast and although paying for it we opted to go elsewhere on the second day.

Stamford Plaza Melbourne – Ideal for a Romantic Getaway and Concert Night My wife and I recently stayed at Stamford Plaza Melbourne for a romantic getaway and to see Pearl Jam at nearby Marvel Stadium. The hotel’s central location was perfect, allowing us to walk to and from the concert with ease, avoiding any transport hassles. We arrived earlier than the standard check-in time, and to our delight, our room was ready, allowing us to settle in straight away. On our departure day, we had a 7:30pm flight, and the concierge bag-holding service was incredibly convenient, letting us make the most of our final day in Melbourne without dragging luggage around. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, providing a comfortable retreat. The buffet breakfast met our expectations, with a variety of fresh and tasty options to kick-start our day. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive, enhancing our overall experience. Whether you're in Melbourne for a concert, a romantic escape, or just a city break, Stamford Plaza Melbourne is an excellent choice. We’d happily stay here again!

If I had to point out one minor drawback, it would be that our room lacked a view and didn’t have much natural light flowing in. However, this was a small issue in comparison to the overall excellence of our stay.

Central location, easy access by tram, nice neighbourhood, close to theatre. Room was very comfortable, including kitchenette. Old style décor may not suit others but they worked for us. We also love the funky glass elevator! The breakfast included was excellent, with good variety and long duration so flexible time to start. Welcoming staff and happy to assist, after checking out I discovered I had left a pair of shoes behind and the staff had them at Reception for me by the time I returned. Next time I hope to use the pool and gym as well. Well priced room with breakfast. We will return.
