Stayed 3 nights at Coco Tulum and really enjoyed the time! - We had very quiet nights (although it was the weekend), the beach club is not a nightclub (anymore) - the shared bathrooms are extremely clean! I am very sensitive and almost did not book because of the shared bathroom. - It is also relatively quiet during the day as the main beach club parties take place 10/15 min down the road - breakfast on the beach was great - front desk was very friendly and helpful I would definitely book again 😊

The location by the beach is wonderfull! you feel quite private , the beach zone is few m away from the challet, and you can use sunbeds. friendly and helpful stuff. We liked the place!

* breakfast was quite not enough for us.. the coffee undrinkable and the portions quite poor. *the coast line was full with sea weed. you can see other hotels clean their area, it would be nice if ours did the same. * we stayed at the chalet with the shared bathroom, so we knew it might be uncomfortable, the bathroom was nice, but still uncomfortable , so if you like being private, that might not be for you, cause everytime you need to use the restroom it takes a while to get there.

Location is perfect. Waking up steps away from the beach, going to see the sunrise, priceless! A place to disconnect from everything and enjoy some peace and quiet. Great restaurants nearby. Rented bikes from the hotel, which was both fun and convenient. Will stay there again.

Far from the center, but that’s how it is in Tulum; you pick either the beach or the town. Taxis overcharge and bully tourists (30 USD for a 5 min ride); they should be put in jail. But it’s not the hotel’s fault obviously…

Lovely place with a gorgeous beach. Super friendly staff and just an overall dream-like stay. It's like you're living in a postcard. Excellllent breakfast too!

The issues we had were not with the place itself but the area. Everything is super expensive and the quality of food etc is average at best. Getting to the town is massively overpriced - $20-$25 for a 5 minute trip. You constantly feel like you're being ripped off. While it's great to be by the beach, it's a real hassle to get around.

The location of the hotel is perfect -- beachfront and along a quiet strip, steps from many restaurants and shops. Our beautiful bungalow was private and overlooked the ocean. We loved our private little patio with the hammock, table and chairs, which allowed us to relax in our private space and feel the sweet ocean breezes! The bed was very comfortable. The hotel restaurant offers a lovely complimentary breakfast each morning with a variety of delicious fruits, pancakes and a choice of other delicious entrees! The beach club next door had a great bar and covered chaise loungers to laze the day away! We enjoyed quiet walks along the beach, which was never crowded. Last but not least, the staff is wonderful -- professional, helpful and friendly! Would definitely recommend!

The location is directly on the beach! The little huts are very charming. Personnel were super friendly and helpful. Particularly Cecilia from the reception was incredibly helpful and caring, thank you so much for looking after me! As I had to leave one day very early to catch the bus and could not have breakfast, they organised a lunch box for me. All the details made for a really nice stay.

I’ve read some comments about the noise coming from a club. I only experienced this one night and it finished at 7ish pm. Besides being disturbing, the pumping techno sound simply doesn’t fit this place. It’s beautiful, peaceful, “zen” as the name says. It’s not the hotel fault but something that if it continues it will ruin the charm of the place and scare some guests away. About the shared bathroom and showers, I was on my own all the time so it was totally fine. However, I can imagine if it’s crowded and as it’s not separated by man/woman - it probably can get a bit awkward.

Mario and Juan went above and beyond to make my stay a very pleasant one, including recommending local restaurants and setting up reservations for me! I travelled in November so the seaweed wasn't a problem. My room was located just steps from the beach, which was amazing and very relaxing. Breakfast being included was also clutch. I had an issue with the sliding door to my room and a worker passing by noticed me struggling and got someone to fix it right away, which I appreciated. The parking lot is located just across the street and you can easily come in and out. I also appreciated the ever-present security guards on site.

Not really a knock on the hotel but I booked the shared bathroom experience. There was never really anyone in the bathroom while I was there so in a lot of ways it felt private, but walking to and from whenever I needed to shower or use the toilet got really old, really quick. I'm sure it makes sense for some travelers but personally, I won't be doing that again.

I loved everything about Coco! We stayed in the beachfront room and could hear the waves splashing all day. Noise was never a problem, and the beach lounge chairs and hammocks were always available. We had no problem with bugs or mosquitoes. Breakfast was included and delicious, and service was always fast. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff was friendly. Security also walked the premises, so we always felt safe. We rented a scooter to get around and never had any issues with parking. I would definitely stay here again!

The room didn't have a TV, mini fridge, or good lighting. Luckily I always read reviews and investigate before staying anywhere so we brought our iPad for the nights we were tired and just wanted to watch a movie and I purchased a travel make up mirror with lights so I was able to do my make up for the nights we went out. We also purchased a cheap small cooler to keep beers and ice in our room. The rooms are also small, but that didn't bother us much because we were always out.

I absolutely loved my stay here, it was exactly like the photographs and I had the best time. The concierge staff were fantastic and so helpful and friendly. They organised my trips for me and helped me find nice places to eat, and gave advice about where is good to go. It felt like we were friends by the end of my trip! The beach club was lovely and I happily spent many days lounging between the two beach clubs (Coco Unlimited and Coco Beach Club). The Italian restaurant served great breakfasts which were included with my stay. I recommend the french toast and omelettes! The hot cakes are pancakes in case you are wondering, hehe the translation is funny for that dish. I loved the hammocks on the beach too, and the little turtle hotels they put up to protect the baby turtles. I felt very safe, with security at both ends of the hotel day and night. I could walk (I am female) to the nightclubs alone in the dark perfectly safely. The sunsets were beautiful but you get the best view when facing away from the sea. My air con was so useful, I couldn't have survived with just a fan. I LOVED my room, it was gorgeous! All the rooms are. I had a big bed with a curtain all around, rustic furniture, a beautiful bathroom with a shell as the faucet, and a view of the sea beyond my little terrace that had outdoor seating and a hammock and drying rack for my clothes. It was so beautifully laid out with little thatched buildings nestled among gorgeous trees and planting. I chose the zen part of the hotel.

The cash machine was broken the whole time, but I just walked further down the road to get cash instead. No biggie. The beach club next door played very loud cheesy music which I didn't enjoy, but it stopped by 7pm so it didn't interrupt my sleep or anything like that.

Great location and free parking in the area were the most valuable things about staying here for us.

Unfortunately as always in Tulum there's a constant effort to over charge you. Coco was not the exception. Our Bookings.com price was $206 the night, and they were trying to charge us about $238 the night because they have their own currency conversion rate! I did not agree and ask for the manager. He was kind and offered to use PayPal to get the official rate. They still charged us $10 extra for some tax. Be aware
