The staff was very friendly although couldn't speak English they were doing the effort to understand you with Google translate. Extremely patient. The hotel was literally on the beach, so perfect if you want to enjoy the beach all day. The room had hot water and mosquito repellent and a thin curtainnet. Room and bathroom were very spacious. Hotel can arrange trips for you and they have a nice restaurant for breakfast and dinner/lunch.

The hotel has no elevator so we had carry our luggages all the way up. The staff also helped us. There was not a good internet signal in the hotel. The hotel arranged a trip for us, which we were very happy with but because of miscommunication/laguage barrier the trip was different than what we expected. For example we were supposed to see the Z.A. Tulum ruins and Coba. Instead we saw Coba, Mayan villages and cenotes. Which was different from what we wanted. The hotel is very far from Tulum center. You need a bike, scooter or take the collectivo bus/taxi. Taxis in Tulum are overexpensive and the road in the night gets super busy and doesn't have enough lights. The hotel is next to the famous beach clubs such Taboo etc. You can literally hear the music till 4 am.

As a family with three young children we were so comfortable here. We loved the barefoot jungle vibe. Everything we ordered from the restaurant was delicious. Welcoming and helpful staff and owners (who live onsite in the most amazing looking beachfront bungalow!). It was off season so quiet, and therefor perfect for our young kids to play on the beach and move around the property freely. We explored a little on foot. Took a taxi into Tulum town for shopping one day, into the archeological park on another and also to Chichen Itza and a cenote. Our favourite part of each day was walking from our room down to the beach over the pool. Stunning.

Wet room bathrooms are not my preference. But we made do with lots of fresh towels each day. We didn’t mind no AC in October, but could be a concern in the hot months.

Top location on the Beach, very welcoming, it‘s now my 5-th time in Zulum in 1 year, I love the place and people working there, it feels like coming home. Excelent service and food, Restaurant has a great ocean view, beach club with sun beds and beach service, just amazing, I‘ll be back soon.

There is a beautiful private beach right in front of te property where you can enjoy drinks and food from a property restaurant. Location is perfect, especially if you like to party, this part of tulum is full of clubs and beach bars.

No A/C so it was very very hot and humid. There were 2 fans but it did not helped much since our room was on 2nd floor. Bathroom is quite dated. Restaurant is nice, but the breakfast included in price is poor and not enough.

The beach , room, and breakfast, were all good. The restaurant was very good, and we mostly ate there. I especially liked the horses and donkey. The baby horse , born the day before we arrived was adorable.

The bar across the street played music too loud. It was disturbing to the animals there, all too close to where the animals were kept, especially the baby horse, and we could hear it from our room, which was further away than the horses and donkey. Sometimes it was difficult communicating with the staff, but we didn't speak Spanish well, and they didn't speak English well.

the king size room with jungle view is everything you need / massive size, High ceiling , mosquito net, a lot of attention goes into decorating it - love the hotel policy of zero plastic - all natural ( bamboo, wood, etc ) - enough space to put your clothes - books for free ; cleaning was impeccable with a tiny pool to clean your feet in front of the room with water changed every day plus a cozy terrace with a hammock in front of the room - literally 1 min to the beach; the restaurant/ bar has decent prices ( for tulum of course where everything is overpriced anyway) and you can use the beach for free - private area

bathroom didn’t have a door - kind of embedded with the bedroom, if you want to sleep in a quiet fashion this is not the place to choose- right next to loud music and clubs ( but the bar across the street only seems to be loud in weekends );

I absolutely loved Zulum. We stayed there for couple of days with my husband and group of friends, we were able to book rooms close to each other and had amazing time in Tulum. The location is superb, close to everything, you don’t even need your shoes - just walk out of the hotel, have some food if their restaurant and walk on the beach to any beach club or restaurant or boutique. I personally loved swing bed, feels so good to fall asleep when you’re swinging and listening waves whispering. I’ll definitely come back to this hotel. The only thing I recommend to have earplugs handy, music from bars across the street can be loud at night, but it’s not a big problem if you don’t have sleep problems.

Nice spacious and clean rooms which are a decent price compared to many of the luxury hotels in Tulum (although the “beach view” rooms do not really have a view of the beach) Delicious food in the restaurant which is a very good price compared to most restaurants nearby. Excellent service from all the staff, particularly Jasmin in the restaurant who always had a smile on her face. And Alejandra and David in reception were always happy to help out with whatever you need. Ideal location right on the beach

One thing worth knowing is that Zulum Hotel is located next to several large clubs that play loud music all day and until 2/3am every day. It’s not too bad if you use ear plugs but if you’re after a quiet peaceful stay I would suggest choosing a hotel further south along the beach. There were also a couple of minor issues with the rooms but these were quickly amended and/or compensated for. I would definitely go back!
