Bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room was spacious. I chose the Queen room which was a good size and had its own bathroom. I was impressed by the hair dryer as it was good quality .. not cheap and nasty like some hotels provide. A bottle of fresh milk in the fridge. . Would stay again if in this region The meals at the pub were fabulous. There are not many cafe/restaurants to choose from in this country town so the pub provides good meals and well patronized by the locals.

There was nothing not to like

What a gem of a place. I only found it because a bunch of other hotels were fully booked on the night I wanted. So I looked past the gawdy-coloured exterior and made a booking. But what a thrill to see a fully renovated interior (even the electrics had fancy new switches). The shared bathroom was huge and immaculate. The bed was comfy. I'd consider going back to Amberley just to stay at this place.

There's no formal reception desk. A patron who was in the hallway directed me towards the restaurant for check-in and the staff member who checked me in was super sweet. The owners may want to consider some signage to direct people who are standing in the lobby with their suitcases. The office door that says "staff only" doesn't really invite guests to knock on it.

We enjoyed a nice dinner and found the room very comfortable. The staff were great and took special care to have us park our motorcycles safely in the Hotel's parking lot. We would stay here again.

The only downside for me was the stairs after a long day on the motorcycle. There was nothing else that I can say that wasn't enjoyable.

The Amberley Hotel has not long been refurbished. The rooms are all exceptionally well maintained & clean. The downstairs Bistro is great place to relax, have a beer or wine & a meal. Overall a good hangout.

The WiFi password in room Log Book was either out of date or WiFi not turned on. Anyway didn't matter as we were full after drinks & dinner in Bistro & tired after flying in early in the day.

Nicely refurbished older hotel has turned it into a very good up to date hotel with quality rooms, a very good restaurant and garden bar. Parking area out back is well lit with security cameras. Meals are excellent quality, range and size. Staff go out of their way to help with friendly service.

No lift, knees are not good so a bit slower handling stairs to room.

The restaurant was fantastic. Would recommend their calamari. Their cheesecake of the day was pistachio which was also very good. Room was clean and what you'd expect from a country hotel.

The bar had their music blaring very early in the morning but I assume this was just a technical issue. Not really anything they can do to help that.

Clean room, clean bathroom!, extra helpfull personell. It was refurbished 2 years ago. Kitchen with all you need, and even cereals, jam and butter (in addition to coffe etc). Good restaurant downstairs. This hotel is one of the better ones in this category.

Fresh milk available for tea which I appreciated. The rest of the breakfast food was an offering of highly processed bread cereal and jam. Did not eat it - go to a local cafe instead!

There were no bedside lights!!! Had to read under harsh overhead lighting. No shampoo or conditioner in bathroom. Lots of traffic noise.

It was clean and perfect for our overnight stay after a long drive. Our booking had not gone through and it was late when we arrived, they set us up without any hassle even though they were closed.

Nothing, I would stay again

I’ve stayed here in the past with below average experiences but has been completely refurbished with excellent facilities not even comparable to the facilities I experienced historically. room was warm and comfortable. great food at the restaurant and lots of tvs to watch sports in the bar.

would have been great if a single bed or stretcher was able to be added to the double room (father/son staying away for sports)we used our own stretcher
