Clean, good location

1. Check in was 12 noon. We got to the hotel at 3:30pm after a long hike and still had to wait another 30 mins due to room not being ready! 2. We had an executive twin room booked for 4 people. The confirmation email clearly stated this. Front desk wanted to charge extra for 2 people stating it is only a room for 2!! 3. Arranged hotel shuttle for airport pickup, once again , clearly stating g it would be 4 adults with bags. They sent a small car that would fit 2 people and 2 small carry on bags and we had to wait at the airport atleast 30 mins before another car came through

Absolutely amazing hotel. Bedrooms were extremely comfortable, really good size and very well equipped. The restaurant was really good with an amazing breakfast. There was so much variety for breakfast, we wish we stayed longer just to try it all. They have made to order omelets, large selection of hot and cold foods as well as sweets, salads and all the fixings. The breakfast also has extensive hours and early start of you're going on an early tour. Staff is super helpful and caring and will do everything to accommodate your needs. Hotel is well located close to Plaz Mayor / Plaza de armas, which puts you close to ensuring you need. Free airport shuttle was a bit plus.

There nothing not to like.

Great location in Cusco. Across the street you will find an ATM that serves most debit cards. The Hotel is very well kept. The staff are very professional and friendly. The restaurant and the breakfast buffet is very good. The rooms are comfy with an extra big bathroom. We are more than pleased having chosen the Sonesta. Tip: You will be bombarded with tour agencies trying to get your business. If you haven't already booked your tours, wait till you arrive at the hotel, they will arrange everything for you at better prices.

The staff and assistants were exceltional. Really appreciated the free muña tea upon my arrival. Also, I appreciated them taking care of my luggage in a safe location

I think the technology in the rooms must improve. Smart Tvs with access to Netflix and YouTube and a Bluetooth alarm would be a major upgrade. I also suggest they take care of damaged bathroom floors and leaky showerheads. I checked in and when I wanted to use the shower for the first time I was surprised to find the tub already wet as if someone had recently showered. But I hadn't. So I called reception and although someone came very fast to clean up the suprise water spill in the tub I think the shower head still needs to be repaired.

I returned to warm welcome back to Sonesta after a 3 night Inca Trail hike (I stayed prior to my hike). They stored my bags free of charge prior to leaving and had everything waiting for me upon my return! Such an amazing and wonderful staff! A warm shower awaited and a quiet night of rest on a great mattress with sweet pillows. Oh and the free breakfasts are really nice. So much to choose from whether you want a light or hearty breakfast. I also loved that I could easily walk just about anywhere I wanted to explore in Cusco. Sonesta Cusco is highly recommended!

A couple of times during my stay there was no Coco tea in the lobby.

We requested a quiet room and the hotel delivered: we stayed in a huge room on the top floor at the end of the hallway. Virtually no street noise and nothing from other guests: excellent! The room had a nice sitting area, a great view of the city, a huge bathroom with an excellent bath and seperate shower and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast had a lot of options and we were never short for choice. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are several good restaurants around the hotel itself, though the best ones in our opinion were further into town. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Cusco.

The hotel is a 15-minute walk away from the main square, but because the street is busy we didn't feel unsafe. There was a person trying to sell us paintings outside the hotel every day. These are minor issues and didn't detract from our excellent stay.

I traveled with my boyfriend who was experiencing Peru for the first time and we stayed twice at this hotel. The staff was completely nice and kind. We both had suffered from altitude sickness and had to use oxygen multiple times, they were always concerned about our health and even asked me how I was feeling the next morning during my breakfast. Also, Lizeth from the travel agency counter helped us to visit the city on our own and later booked a great city tour with Ruben, the tour guide who was also very knowledgeable.

We only had to keep the oxygen for 10min. I requested to have it during the night cos we were scared of the symptoms and they agreed but it will be kind of them if they offer this chance to all the guests.

I like the cleanliness of the location and the respectful nature of the staff. I also liked the the breakfast in the morning. The location of the hotel was a perfect distance form the plaza de armas. This location is Also right across the street from a shopping plaza where you can get awesome cool souvenirs for half of what it costs at the plaza de armas. Over all Id stay here again. There very professional.

The property is a bit dated, however the quality of the hotel as wel as the rooms are really good. the rooms are cleaned in an impressive manner, at every morning these were impeccable. The hotel provides breakfast starting from 3:00 - 5:00 for those who’ve a trip planned, this breakfast is limited to sandwiches, cakes, coffee/tea and fresh juices. however starting from 5:00 there is the ‘normal’ breakfast which is insanely good. we’ve stayed in multiple hotels in the city of Cusco, but this was the only was which was isolated and hence we had no issues with sound pollution. the best for us overal was staff. they really assisted us with everything we needed such as a tour, taxis, places to visit etc.

A bit far from center, comparing to other options. And I from EU but since my girlfriend is Peruvian I get charged extra TAX, other hotels never charged me this. Since I am the booking person and the main guest paying, I think doesn’t make sense to be charged a TAX that is for nationals
