historical bldg, good atmosphere an great central location. recommend it for a couple of nights only. One should definitely split their stay up between Cusco (50%) and Sacred Valley (50%) since Cusco is loud, noisy and polluted. a couple of days in each is enough.

restaurant was pricey and service not good. soup one night was US$ 70.00 and took long, no bread even asking for it in an empty restaurant. Tons of restaurants just outside. Go out for dinner even if you’re exhausted!

The location is stunning in a centuries old monastery. They pay attention to detail. The oxygenated room was a huge plus. Recommend a few more vegan options on the menu. The hotel tour was informative and Virgilio, who gave the tour is a hard working and helpful staff member.

The cost of tours provided by the hotel is exorbitant for a single traveler.

Our stay with you was outstanding! The level of service, detail and care was exceptional and both my husband and I would agree that this is probably the best hotel we have stayed in - and we are very well travelled! The front of house staff were all very attentive and welcoming. Services were explained clearly and we were always greeted with a warm welcome whenever we entered the hotel. We took the tour of the hotel and we’re very surprised and pleased to see that the ruins had been preserved and put on display for them to be admired. It was nice to see that patriotism was ahead of profit in this case. Breakfast - the staff were also very welcoming and took the time to explain the system and were quick to offer drinks. The chefs were very friendly and clean. The food was fresh and tasty. We had room service twice. Both arrived within a timely manner and were well laid out. Each and every single one of your staff were genuinely eager to help. The level of detail put in to making our stay feel personal was beyond any other hotel we have stayed in. Small details mean the most…our cases were already waiting in our room when we returned from the Inca Trail, and this meant a huge amount to us. The handwritten note to welcome us back and thank us for our custom went a long way. We even received a call after we had settled in to check on our trip to Machu Picchu, very thoughtful. I had messaged ahead to let the hotel know we were away for my husbands 40th birthday. When we arrived in our room on the first reservation, there were balloons, a cake and a small Peruvian gift! I was so pleased that you were able to make my husband feel special while we were away from home. We would both like to thank you for the level of service and comfort we received at your hotel. I will now look for a JW Marriott hotel whenever I go away and hope that the service and comfort compare!

Beautiful property! The courtyard is stunning! The staff were exceptional every time we encountered them. The massage at the spa was amazing. They offer oxygen at the front desk in case it is needed. They bring in a small alpaca every morning to the courtyard and that is a fun experience. The breakfast spread was absolutely amazing and one of the best week ever had abroad. Nice and easy transportation through the hotel to and from the airport and to and from the Poroy train station.

The bar prices were exceptionally high compared to every single place we encountered in the country. I felt like we were at an American bar paying those prices even for a simple beer.

Hotel beautiful, staff super friendly, breakfast was great. The Christmas extras that the hotel put on were a great idea and it felt very festive. The location is great for the old city and we really enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi area.

The hairdryer in my room didnt work, apart from that the stay was great and I can highly recommend it.

Hotel amenities, design, ambiance definitely exceeded our expectations - beautiful property with exceptional decor, large courtyard. Location of the hotel is perfect - just 5-7mins walking distance from central square with lots of local restaurants and shops. Staff at reception was extremely helpful and always willing to resolve any questions.

Service at breakfast could be improved - we had breakfast at the hotel every day during our stay and every day we had to wait at least 10mins for waiter to bring hot tea. Tea arrived only after reminders and when we already brought food to the table and started eating. Menu at the hotel restaurant is overpriced, while food is average. You can easily find a variety of great restaurants located nearby, with delicious food and 2X lower prices.

Everything about this Marriot was incredibly well-thought out and beyond expectations. From the entrance alone, my jaw dropped! Everything from the lobby to the room was so beautiful, even the hallways look like you're in a museum! All staff from lobby, to bellhop, to bar/restaurant were so kind and accommodating. They are so well-trained and professional. By far the best Marriot I have ever stayed in and probably one of the best hotels I've experienced in my whole life!

Can't think of a single thing!

Breakfast was good, we only had it once and missed it on the other days we were there. The staff were incredibly hospitable and made our stay very pleasant. Thank you for all the attentiveness and consideration.

It would be wonderful if they had a coffee bar with cappuccinos, latte’s, espresso’s, and more on demand during the breakfast buffet.

I highly recommend. The location is a 2 minute walk to the square. The Property is exceptional, Staff went out of their way to make the stay Great and succeeded!!!

There was honestly nothing I didn't like about the stay. They spent a great deal of time on the little things and were very accommodating, with my requests.

Amazing property and amazing service to match. We booked this hotel as a treat after a 4 day trek and it did not disappoint! Large, clean rooms with very comfortable beds. The courtyard was stunning, and the spa was very relaxing. The front desk staff were able to help me mail 2 postcards as we were rushing to the airport. Lots of activities going on around the hotel if you have time (pisco sour classes, weaving demonstration, etc)

Recommend booking spa services ahead of time - I tried to book after my arrival and there were no spots available.
