Exceptional! This boutique hotel is beautifully furnished - the courtyard and rooms are filled with sunlight, hand crafted wooden furniture, fresh coca leaves for tea, etc. The property is super secure with a friendly receptionist manning the front desk all the time. But what we adored most was the friendly staff! Everyone was so friendly, kind, and patient to our toddler boy who regularly explored the courtyard everyday. The housekeeping staff even worked around his nap schedule - one day they made his bed and tucked his foxie lovely into the blankets. We stayed in the Deluxe Room with a king bed, jacuzzi tub, mini fridge, etc - plenty of room for our family of three. The front desk also helped connect with us taxis and tours. The attention to detail and care provided by the staff is extraordinary. We chose this property as it was slightly further from the Plaza de Armas (still walking distance, just a longer walk uphill) to ensure peace and quiet for our family. It's a very tranquil place to stay. Oh, and breakfast is fabulous - fresh fruit, fresh juices, yogurts to be paired with Andean quinoa or cereal, hams and cheeses, rotating local cuisines and veggies, made to order eggs or omelettes, made to order espresso drinks, etc.

The hotel, located on a Main Street in Cusco, is remarkably quiet. The housekeeping, front desk staff and restaurant staff is superb! Our room was spacious and well-kept. The hotel is close to the Plaza De Armas, restaurants, museums, and shopping. We enjoyed taking to Douglass during ‘desayuno.’ He makes the best cup of coffee and is well-traveled! :)

The room was dark, even with all the drapes open. The room was cold. We had several days of rain and cloudy skies, and the heat doesn’t get turned on until 8 pm and it seemed to be turned back off by midnight. Staff did give us an electric heater—that helped. The location is good. But, all the busses use the tiny, narrow street and it can get very polluted. Several times I felt sick because of the smell. (Not the hotels fault, but thought people should know.)

Located in the heart of downtown Cusco only a few blocks from the main square, this hotel offered a distinctive colonial architecture albeit with modern amenities. While we were quite able to handle our own luggage with stairs involved, the hotel does provide assistance to those who need it. Our room was small with an uncovered bathroom( no door), but the fixtures were good with plenty of hot water! Breakfast was excellent with numerous choices and alacarte eggs to order. We contracted for some light laundry service and received a well folded sealed package back the same day for a very reasonable fee. The hotel is also only a few short blocks from the San Pedro market ( one of favorite stops in Cusco)!

The breakfast was great. The barista is excellent. All decoration and every detail of the hotel is exquisite and cultural. I love the textures used all over the hotel and it’s very quiet and peaceful. Ayu the receptionist and Abel the barista were especially lovely and helpful! All staff I encountered were very cordial and helpful. My room was large and had beautiful furniture and bedding. The shower was wonderful.

The only slightly negative comment I can make is that I arrive in the evening and there was only one lovely receptionist who had to stay at her post, so nobody to help find my room or carry luggage. I walked around for a while until I found my room. Luckily I didn’t have much luggage but this may become complicated with a larger group and with more luggage.

In the midweek we were travelling around Machu Picchu, we were able to pace our suitcases in this hotel before we left for our midweek trip. That was really nice and we very much appreciated this! The room was very nice and huge. It is located in a gorgeous building, right in the middle of the city. There is a nice breakfast and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Although the room is huge and gorgeous, there is no sun in the room during the day. As a result of that, it might get chilly during the day (the heater only works at night).

The location is perfect but the street itself not that nice (a lot of dog sh*t and pee). We first had a room with no windows but we could change - very kind and helpful team. The patio is amazing, but we had a group of very loud people there. They did scream all night long or started 5 in the morning before leaving for a tour - although reception is 24hrs, nobody told them to stop being awfully loud (they didn’t listen even I spoke Spanish to them). Breakfast was great, very good service and adequate for our diet (e.g. plant based milk available). Rooms were kept clean, but the shower flooded the bathroom every time we took a shower. Also it was a bit smelly due to the drain pipes I guess. Mattresses were super soft and worn out. Altogether a solid price performance ratio!

The room was exceptional - spacious and beautiful with our own private courtyard, sitting area and extra large bathroom with jacuzzi. The staff was WONDERFUL - so helpful and friendly. We stayed there for our 35th anniversary and the staff was so sweet - left rose petals on our bed and a special treat. The location was great for us - quiet but close to the action.

The only negative was that the bed was a bit hard for our American tastes. The beauty of the room and the location more than made up for it however.

We had the room with a jacuzzi and it was wonderful. We used it every day after a long tour! Very hot showers too! There is a kettle in the room and a tea and coffee area so that you can have a hot tea at all time. The hotel is beautiful. Full of charm and very tastefully decorated. It is also really well located The breakfast is delicious!!!!

The room is a bit dark, but it doesn't matter since you will be out and about during the day ☺️

We stayed in Tambo Del Arriero for a week in the double deluxe room (with hot tub). the room was massive, comfortable beds and toilet / shower / hot tub worked perfectly fine - it was much needed after all the day tours and hikes around the region. the staff is courteous and we’re readily available to help. breakfast was good, they even went out of their way to get oat milk for us for coffee. I got a early 2023 discount to book the place, so with the discounted price this turned out to be a great stay!

One of the main reasons to book the hotel was the in-house restaurant with the idea that we could relax and not go out to eat after long days of hiking. unfortunately the restaurant was closed as not many tourists were visiting. our room itself was pretty dark (as windows were on the side of shower/ sink and not the bed) - I would suggest some more bright lights to add to the bigger rooms. also we found some ants next to the hot tub crevices.
