Location is great -- walkable to all of central Porto's main sights, communication was clear and specific, minimalist space felt fresh and was immaculately clean, and there were a surprising number of amenities in my small room, even a miniature kitchen creatively designed to fit into the wall. Continental breakfast selection served in the common space on the main level was of good quality -- lovely pastries brought in fresh -- although I would have liked to have had the option to have it before 8 AM, as I had to leave for the airport and was only able to grab a yogurt on the fly. Another advantage is a closet under the stairs on the ground floor with a key-coded entry where you can store your luggage if you arrive before check-in or after check-out.

The biggest downside was that there was no air conditioning in my room (#4). That is the only reason I didn't give a perfect score. Fortunately it was not excessively hot while I was in Porto, and the ceiling fan took the edge off for sleeping, but had it been any hotter, I would have been very uncomfortable. It would be beneficial to install a mini-split type A/C on the wall. Also, guests should be aware that there is no lift, and the stairs to the rooms are very steep. Pack light!

The location. The guy that tried to serve us breakfast before 8.00am. We didn't manage to pay the City tax via card :( and he was still very polite cause we had 0 cash. He prepared us breakfast at 7.30 while the regular hour starts at 8am. For me it's crucial to be welcomed by nice people. Then the property is up to us to check everything carefully. .

For one evening it's acceptable, but it's a tiny room, with tiny windows, no natural light. So for claustrophobic people, think twice. Carefully with the bathroom as it can flood due to its style. Usually I get better room for the money I paid but since war and everything, there is no such thing as a good deal nowadays. For breakfast I would love to try it but since they serve from 8 onwards...

I loved all of the people working here. Joao was always quick to respond before I arrived and during my stay accommodated my questions and made certain I did not run out of possibilities for exploring during a month long stay. This recognition includes Beatriz and Pedro. Breakfast was nicely presented, always with fresh pastries, ham, cheese, fruit, yoghurts, coffee. My room was perfect for myself as a solo traveller. I liked being above the street with a small balcony and a door I could leave open at night. It was clean, with thanks to Rosie, and with a small fridge was all I needed.

My very small point reduction was only for the water temperature which as a personal preference did not quite achieve a high enough temperature. That said, I adjusted myself to the system and all was good.

The location is perfect! It's well connected to the main roads heading down to the river. Lots of cafes and restaurants around. A mini prezo around the corner. We stayed in Room 2. A decent size room with a small but nicely equipped kitchenette - which was a great bonus for us. We could warm up snacks and have a small dinner in the room after eating out all day. Self check-in is nice. Breakfast was all you needed (please see my note for gluten allergy below) - fresh pastries, bread, cold meats, cheese and all kinds of cerials. Fresh orange juice! A very quiet and comfortable sleep, and a lovely power shower. Would highly recommend!

Room 2 has a bathroom door that has sunk a bit over time. It makes a rather loud scraping noise when you open and close it. We had to lift the door to avoid the noise, which is not easy to remember in the middle of the night. We also requested some gluten-free options for breakfast. There was no confirmation from the hotel after the reservation. It would be nice if they could confirm one way or the other, just to be ready. We bought some gluten free options with us, but all my husband could have from the breakfast buffet was tea, butter and cheese.

Cozy room in the city center. Delicious breakfast. Room has an electric heating, so it was warm in December.

The guy who was on duty on Friday was making breakfast so terribly noisy that I woke up on the second floor. The guy who was on duty on Saturday and Sunday prepared everything without a sound, I am so thankful to him for it. You have to wait at least 5 minutes when a water in the shower becomes at least warm. And it never becomes hot at all. And the water from the shower goes to the bathroom floor.

location was perfect. right ing heart of the town, but surprisingly quiet in the room. very clean room. also great communication beforehand with codes to doors etc. which was great as our flight was late and we didn’t get there until midnight. the hotel is quite quirky with a steep central concrete staircase - there is no lift. but it is all modern decor and very trendy and clean. we really liked it. room was not spacious but had big bathroom with large shower. if you want to spend time exploring Porto this is ideal base. breakfast basic and you have to select one of two timeslots which may not suit. but decent choice and good start to the day. very friendly and helpful staff at breakfast who are happy to give info on things to see.

nothing.

It was a convenient location near the station. In addition, since it was an electronic key, it was convenient without worrying about losing the key. I received a detailed explanation in advance, so I didn't have any problems. It was fun to talk with the owner who was very friendly. It was comfortable and I enjoyed staying at this place, thank you!

I couldn't find a trash can in the room.

Friendly staff at breakfast Well arranged airport shuttles 24h check-in system No keys to carry around, access to the rooms with codes Good price/quality Satisfied about the breakfast Luggage storage room available Brilliant location in the heart of the city

One of the three booked rooms (2p room "Ana Jotta"): this double bed was quite small One of the three booked rooms (3p room "Croft"): bathroom door does not close correctly, no privacy on toilet Limited tables available at the breakfast (only three out of six rooms can have breakfast at the same time), which can be a problem for larger groups

Great location, modern and clean. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Close to Sao Bento station and tour bus stops. Breakfast was very good and someone was available during breakfast to answer any questions. A bit difficult to find. Laundry next door.

The stairs leading up to the suites quite steep. The design of the hand rail going up is unstable. definitely not the place for someone with mobility issues.

The hotel was very clean, has friendly staff, is in a good location and provided a good breakfast. I stayed for 3 nights, and the staff were available at breakfast. On the 1st morning I was given some advice about possible walking routes which was useful as my plan for this trip was just to wonder around and explore, as I’d heard that Porto was ideal for that. The advice did help me see some nice sights that I’d otherwise may not have done. As I was going to the football that evening, it was also suggested that I may like to attend a small art gallery which was close to the ground and had ties to the staff from the hotel. It was an enjoyable event with a violinist, drinks and snacks. I believe that they have more concerts (such as jazz) planned there for the future. There was a good selection available everyday as part of a Continental breakfast, and that also included deliveries from a local bakery. The Pastel de Nata’s that they had were the best that I had in Porto. ... and I had a few....but hey, I did do a lot of walking!! On the last day, I was offered pancakes for breakfast as well. Not only were these delicious. but the way they were presented was something akin to how you would see them in a cookbook or even a restaurant. That was very much appreciated, and I think it was a prime example of how welcome the staff made me feel. All in all, I would highly recommend a stay here.

This is not the hotels fault, but I did arrive late and couldn’t initially gain access. That is wholly down to me not reading the email that the hotel sent with entry instructions to the hotel and room, as the staff are not in attendance there full time.
