I was looking for a B&B near to a wedding venue that I was working at and Trelough House was recommended by the venue as well as showing up on Booking.com. Such a beautiful house, steeped in history and amazing location. I was warmly greeted at the front door and was shown to a double room at the front of the house. It was perfect - so spacious & everything I needed. Some fresh milk was brought up so I could enjoy a cup of tea and I was already looking forward to the breakfast in the morning (so delicious!!) Wifi was great and fast which was appreciated as I did have some work Zoom calls to make that evening. Great little ensuite with shower (shampoo & shower wash already there which was very handy as I forgot to bring any!) Comfiest of beds ,black out curtains and I slept so well. Nothing was too much trouble and I will definitely being staying again when in the area.

Such a wonderful stay and the only thing I can think of that might help other guests is a little sign to direct to the house from the main road as I did end up at the farmhouse first of all until a lovely neighbour let me know the house was further down the track road.

Loraine was very welcoming and could not do enough for us. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, Loraine made sure that we had it exactly how we liked it and there was plenty of it! The house is stunning and feels like a home from home. The bathroom was modern and clean and toiletries are provided. The beds are very comfortable and we got great sleep. Thank you so much.

The only downside to such an old house is that you can hear anyone walking down the corridor outside. The key in the door of the room took a bit of jiggling to get it to lock but we managed it.

We were on a course at Oldfield Forge which was the reason for needing a B and B. We were very lucky to find this one which was ideal for being near the Forge (approx 10/15 min drive). Our room was large, very characterful, extremely clean and we had everything we needed both in the en-suite which was very big and plenty of hot drinks with an excellent choice. Trelough House could not have been more helpful - I needed gluten free meals and decaffeinated drinks both of which were supplied with no problem whatsoever. We were late in (8pm ish) and needed a meal locally, again, they could not have been more helpful. Most places stopped serving food after 9 pm but they phoned around for us and booked a table - our meal was just what we needed after a day hammering out knives and candlesticks! Breakfast was the best! Plenty of choice, local suppliers, very tasty sausages and bacon, a cut above. Many thanks.

Nothing, great place to stay.

My son & I had spent the day making a sword at a local forge. We were exhausted upon arrival and sadly due to poor signal in the area were unable to contact the B&B. Lorraine had stayed up late to welcome us, and the spacious, warm, comfortable room was just perfect for two tired wannabe blacksmiths. Breakfast was everything we could've wished for too. Cereals and fresh fruit galore. Cooked breakfast to follow with freshly brewed coffee, both made to order and delicious. If we're ever back in the area again we wouldn't hesitate to return. We recommended it to Oldfield Forge too as it's only around 5 miles (15 min drive) away.

Nothing. Everything here far exceeded the usual "B&B" expectations. So many are literally spare rooms in overly large houses offered as accommodation, with Kellog's mini boxes left on the side for breakfast and soggy bacon with droopy sausages to follow. This blew away the B&B preconception and provided a hotel-class stay.

Good parking. Ideal and quiet location yet close to main road with easy access to all local surroundings. Very big spacious room with adequate furniture. Great to have lots of drawers. Friendly helpful hosts. Good variety of food and hearty hot cooked breakfast. An enjoyable relaxing stay in a tranquil area, thank you.

Our bathroom, although adequate, was very small for our big sized-room. Would have been better to have tv on a higher table. Charming to stay in an old character property with original doors and locks but we found it difficult to lock our room door.

The hotel was excellent, had a great stay. The owners were on holiday and Trevor a friend of theirs was looking after the property, he was brilliant and really friendly. As i was travelling for work he even made me sandwiches to take to the office! The room was huge, very clean and well furnished. I travel to Hereford a lot for work and hope to make this a regular place of choice to stay.

If i had to choose something and this was really not a big thing at all, mearly personal preference, the mattress was a bit hard for me but not enough to cause any real issue.

Fabulous property, would have liked a settee or two easy chairs in the room for extra comfort, however it was a fabulous stay and Lorraine was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area.

I checked emails when I got home, the email to authorise payment was not sent by booking.com until 5 August, the date we were due to check out, fortunately we had the cash to settle up with you, as I do not have the facility on my phone to access emails. If booking.com wish to put in extra security it would still be best to send emails the day before checking in, to ensure authorisation in good time.

This is a period house turned into B&B. We stopped over during the Hay Festival. House is old and kept with character, so if you like that sort of thing, this is for you. The best thing for us was the full English breakfast, very good indeed, prepared by Trevor, who is a gentleman and made us feel welcome. Good value stay.

We didn’t like the shower room, small, cumbersome and in need of refurb. Sink too small.

The property was well maintained and elegant. Our bedroom was a good size with a very comfortable bed. The ensuite bathroom was very modern and the shower worked well. Lorraine and Gary were very friendly and helpful recommending places locally to eat and visit. Breakfast each morning was delicious and cooked specially to order.
