Great location - close to beach and shops and restaurants. Fairly quiet and felt safe. Car Parking was onsite and seemed more than enough space for everyone. The Breakfast was delicious, especially the coffee! All served by a lovely lady called Susie! We used the outdoor pool which was heated and we found this very relaxing. We also used the bar and the pool table. Our room was comfortable, with high quality bed linen, a very comfy mattress and topper and squishy duvet and pillows - we both slept like logs! Bathroom was fine, good shower and all very clean. The best thing about this hotel was, without doubt, the lovely friendly lady on arrival (Jill) who was very informative and started our stay by giving us a tea tray with Tea, Scones, Cream and Jam! What a welcome!!!

The TV in the room only had 2 working channels (BBC1 and BBC2). We didn't come on holiday to watch TV but it was nice to have on when we were in the room. It's a shame as the WIFI connection was really good so if the tv had been more modern or had a Chromecast or something like that we could have streamed stuff. There was never anyone in the hotel bar so it lacked a bit of atmosphere and the whole hotel does need modernising a little bit - new decor/carpets etc and generally just a bit more TLC.

The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice, and great service. The complimentary afternoon tea was a real treat, especially be the pool. Although it was sunny, there was a bit of a breeze, therefore we enjoyed relaxing by the pool, we didn't get in for a swim. The room was really comfortable, and we had a view looking over the pool and the sea behind it. It was very convenient to be able to walk to the lift which took us down to the beachside, soak up the sun and enjoy a delicious fish and chips lunch followed by some ice-cream.

The owner was a lovely lady who was very knowledgeable about the local area. We arrived much later than we intended and missed out on a complimentary cream tea but as a consolation she treated us to a free drink at the in-house bar, a very thoughtful gesture as we didn’t know about the cream tea. The weather let us down a bit but we would definitely stay here again.

I’m very fussy about my pillows, they have to be just right. Second night I did some swapping around with them and I slept right through.

We love it here, so much so this is where we book for our family holiday each year. The staff are friendly and welcoming, you get a lovely tea and scones on your arrival. Everything is always clean, the rooms are good for size. Although the decor is a little dated that is the only thing you could say on it, you couldn’t ask for a nicer place to stay. The swimming pool is great, breakfast has a wide variety in the mornings. It is close to the town, beach and quite a few enjoyable attractions. The owners who run the hotel are lovely. Will always return on our Isle of Wight visits. Great value for money.

The property was a bit dated but very clean.It had a small pool ( which we didn’t use as there was a lot of people on our stay).The room was very small but the bed was comfortable.Close to beach and shops.

The breakfast room was very noisy and crowded and the tables were extremely close together(albeit the breakfast was nice: cereals, sausage , egg, mushrooms, tomato and beans , toast , tea…..presented by a friendly waitress who was rushed off her feet with the many tables.

Breakfast was good, room was good, but alas, i didn't have time to go in the pool, as most days I was out and about. Good service, good friendly staff. On the first day I was welcomed with a cream tea from the host, Julian, which was an added bonus. Good location too. Close to the beach, and close to the town.

Nothing really to complain about. Good value for money, and exactly what I was expecting. Only wish I could have stayed longer.

Not much I can say really to not like other than it would have been handy to have somewhere to hang your beach towels in the family room for the next day as we struggled with that and so had damp towels the next day. With four people's towels the little towel rail was only really big enough for a couple of hand towels. We had used the rail in the bathroom for the hotel bathing towels. Other than it was a perfect stay!

We had a great break in Shanklin. The hotel is close by to the beach and the town where there are several restaurants. We particularly liked the cream tea on arrival after a long journey. The breakfast was nice and the staff were lovely and could not do enough for us during the stay. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy so much so it was difficult to get up each morning. The room had lovely views of the countryside and it was nicely decorated. We had a great time in the heated pool, basking in the sun whilst looking at the sea views. It was a great bonus to have a game of table tennis too. We would love to come back.

My family and I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and we were made to feel extremely welcome. The staff were so friendly and wonderful, and the complimentary breakfast was a great surprise. The location is fantastic and so is the swimming pool. If we ever travel to Shanklin again (which I hope we will), we will certainly choose Eastmount without a doubt! Thank you!

Location is great for attractions in shanklin , beach restaurants , old village ,shanklin chine. Room was clean and comfortable, access to relaxing lounge area, garden and pool . Breakfast included was brilliant and staff very welcoming and friendly.

Dining area could do with Freshning up in decor, I.e pictures faded, ceiling fan needed a clean in one area , and new table covers.
