The staff are really friendly and helpful even popping to the shop if there was something we wanted for breakfast but they didn't have or that they had run out of. The breakfasts or fantastic by the way. Wonderful breakfast menu and the poached eggs cooked to perfection. The room was large and clean and recently refurbished with a lovely view over the sea. Good coffee and tea facilities in the room. Smart TV Good internet access Lovely Terrace outside the breakfast area where you can also have breakfast Nice sheets but the pillows were a little bit hard.

Small details like a wardrobe door that was very squeaky which we told reception about but nobody came to fix it and many of the floors are sloping which means some of the surfaces are sloping so stuff rolls off them.

Wow! We are just back from a lovely stay at The Wellington Hotel. The staff were the friendliest we have ever come across and we have stayed in a lot of hotels! Lovely reception area, terrace, room and bar. This is a family run hotel and you can tell (in a good way!) the service was second to none. There is a real personal feel to the hotel and you are made to feel like you are welcome unlike many other commercial chains. The current owners took over the hotel only two years ago and what they have achieved so far is amazing! We can’t wait to see it once it is fully complete. Please don’t be put off by any renovations that may still be being carried out, it didn’t impact our stay one bit. Although the hotel can’t offer its own parking there is plenty of parking on the road and if not a very reasonable long stay car park 3 minutes walk away. It really was no issue and there was five plus our dog in our party! With direct steps from the hotel to the beach and a really nice pub the location is second to none. Thank you so much ‘The Wellington’ we will be back. X

Clean room . Staff friendly. Great views. Plenty of clean towels . Great veiws . We were accommodated with a room lower down so not too many stairs as my son sometimes struggles with stairs . Fridge in the room

Had to leave earlier was told l may get some money back, but they were optimistic as l lost about £240 for 2 nights. I've not heard back now lm home and and not even a token payment of say £25 per night refund as it was a weekend and a popular hotel . Noisy at times from guests . Waited an hour once for our room key to get back in our room .

The breakfast was lovely, cooked to order and plenty of choice, although it was quite busy one morning and there was a wait. The room had a lovely view of the beach and at night you could hear the waves crashing.

They were a bit short staffed at breakfast, so the service was slow. Parking is a problem, there is only a few places outside the front of the hotel, and although the information said there was parking on side streets it was double yellow lines everywhere. you have to leave your car in the town centre carpark just a short distance away. it wasn't a problem and once you found out how to work the parking meter it was ok. £2 per night if you press the yellow button first.

Excellent breakfast served in a lovely dining room or one could choose to have it served on the terrace outside. The location was fantastic with great views of Ventnor beach, friendly and very helpful staff. The room was comfortable with a lovely balcony

Parking was a challenge as there is no car park. Finding on-street parking was rather hit-and-miss. The en suite bathroom was a bit tired with a rather cheap shower cubicle and wonky toilet seat and some minor mold in places. It was not cleaned as thoroughly as it might have been although the rest of the hotel was clean.

Very nice with lovely sea view. Room was comfortable and well equipped with good bathroom. Staff were lovely. The common parts such as reception and the bar area and breakfast room were very tastefully designed and decorated. It was a bit cold to sit out on the terrace when we were there but that would be a great place to sit and have breakfast or drinks with a lovely view. Breakfast was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.

No parking. There is free parking on the road outside but there was never any available when we were there. You can also park further along the road or in the next road. We did manage to just about find a space every day but it was always a bit of a stress as we never knew if we were going to find one or not when we got back.

The amazing sea view and beachfront view from this room with a balcony. Listen to the waves breaking. The room was very clean and comfortable and the hot water in the bathroom was plentiful at any time of day. Nice tea/coffee etc plus espresso pod machine and fridge.

Because this hotel is built on many levels, it is not easy to locate the restaurant. There are signs but they are small and inconspicuous. Would be better with larger distinctive signs on every landing. This is just a very tiny grumble considering everything else is pretty spot on.

Beautifully renovated victorian hotel with stunning views over the bay. The breakfast was very high quality and the staff very friendly and professional.

Each day the beds were made but the bathroom not cleaned which was unusual. It would've been nice to give the floor a wipe. The shower door came out of it's groove easily so was very delicate and the plug in the shower gurgled noisily in the evening and early morning (due to other residents showering and the pipes connected) which was annoying and woke us up.

It was amazing - clearly been restored to Victorian perfection. The room was very spacious. There were 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 children and the host was very kind to accommodate us all in the same room. Room had wonderful views of the sea. The hosts were amazing, too, very friendly. Breakfast was incredible. Would definitely return.

Not much. One thing to keep in mind is that you’ll need to navigate a lot of stairs but I enjoyed that. Some may not.
