My husband and I booked a standard room for 2 nights, as we were attending a wedding being held at the hotel. From start to finish the staff were attentive, professional and friendly. Our room had a beautiful view of the sea and was newly refurbished with lovely new bedroom furniture. The queen sized bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in and the sheets were good quality. I found the hotel to be clean and nicely presented, with comfy sofas in the drawing room and tasteful decor in the bar area. In my opinion as good as The George Hotel in Yarmouth, but at a fraction of the cost and better service.

Didn't like the fact that the public can use the pool. During our swim two girls were being loud and throwing chairs in the pool. From what they were saying they worked nearby and used the pool daily. I think the pool should be exclusive for hotel guests only

Lovely Hotel, we were upgraded to a suite because it was our 30th wedding anniversary. The suite was very luxurious with a living room, galley kitchen, a spacious four-poster bed, and a large shower room. Outside the garden area was well kept and included a swimming pool. Breakfast selection was excellent and plenty of selection. Hot breakfast was cooked fresh most days or served to you buffet style if Hotel was full. Restaurant served a good selection of meals. There is plenty of parking in the hotels car park.

The Hotel was up quite a steep hil, so I would not recommend it if you have mobility problems.

Beautiful spacious room with sea-view - as nice as the photos. Bed was very comfortable and shower was nice and powerful. A lovely place to be. Breakfast good - especially appreciated individual cafetieres. Pool was pleasant but could do with a good clean to make it shiny and spotless. Staff were kind and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble.

Decor good but some areas need holes in walls filling in and a fresh lick of paint (I am being picky!). Bar/lounge was very comfortable but needed some background music to ease the dry atmosphere. Dinner was adequate, but given the many options in the local area, it's a stiff competition - convenient rather than outstanding.

Whole hotel was very traditional and comfortable. It was easy to relax in. The gardens were nice and had views of the coast.

The ground floor rooms in the rear extension suffered from noise from the rooms above due to presumably thin ceilings or un-sound-proofed floors above. All the time there was creaking and sounds of movements from the floor above - particularly at night-time. This included running water sounds. There is a need for some sound-proofing in this area.

The breakfast was perfect, lots of choice, perfectly cooked and served. My room was spotless and wonderfully presented on my arrival. And a surprisingly well-stocked hotel bar at reasonable pub prices. I can't praise the wonderful staff any higher as nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile!

I had to come home!

Staff were very helpful, friendly. Breakfasts were fantastic whether traditional cooked (egg, sausage, bacon,mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, hash brown, etc) or "continental" (bread, toast, jam, honey, marmalade, cold meat, cheese, etc) Parking on site.

Nothing, it is an excellent hotel.

We had the pleasure of spending August bank holiday weekend at this hotel. The Button family and the hotel staff couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. We had breakfast every morning at the hotel and also ate a couple of evening meals there too. All the meals we ate were very good and cooked from the heart. All in all, it made for a very enjoyable weekend.

Breakfast was excellent , good options for continental and full english Room was comfortable however creaky floorboards above (we do realise that this is an old property and this did not ruin our stay. Pool , shame it wasnt open while we stayed probably the hottest weekend of the year so far. Again did not ruin our stay.

Choice of evening meals very basic, but quality ok Everything else was great.

The Hotel was in a great location, quite road. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Lots of Parking. The room was a very good size, plenty of hot water, clean towels and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and limitless choice, very fresh. Large Dining room.
