Excellent Room with luxurious bathroom and very comfy bed. Food was excellent as per usual.

I just think the bar prices are a little over priced £13.95 for a glass of wine and soda is above city prices and I was charged £8 for a shot of chambord in my glaaa of proscecco!

Plenty of parking spaces on arrival close to reception. On entering the hotel reception it was obvious to see that it was well looked after and cared for. Lots of period pieces and paintings. Tastefully decorated and clean with a calming atmosphere. Fabulous views across Windermere. Lots of places in the grounds to sit outside. Was nice to have a choice of restaurants. Either fine dining or the bar area plus lounge areas for relaxing in.

Not that we had any issues, but there didn’t appear to be a customer lift to upper floors. This could be a problem for people with mobility difficulties.

Staff were all very friendly and approachable. The food was amazing, and the scenery stunning. There's plenty of history at Storrs hall, although we never discovered the story behind the tapestry on the stairs! Oh, the bed was huge, and we wanted to keep the pillows!

You have to book for breakfast (they turn your room whilst you're eating) and booking times for breakfast were somewhat limited, so ended up eating later than we'd have liked. There were workmen outside our room which was a little noisy but thankfully not too intrusive.

The staff made sure our stay surpassed our expectations - from the moment we arrived we were well looked after with a genuine warmth that the team wanted to make our stay perfect. The hotel's location is second to none with spectacular views from the lawns and restaurant. Our dining experience for breakfast was 10/10 and the bar/lounge facilities were extensive.

The room was rather warm and the fan provided wasn't fit for purpose - very loud and too small. All would be perfect should new fans be provided in the rooms.

Breakfast was a good selection ? Service was amazing and the cleanliness was perfect, the staff were really accommodating for whatever we needed even booked us for a couple massage in our room which was amazing our room was so clean I was very impressed the whole environment was so relaxing and the lake view was out of this world thank you

Superbly attentive, helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful old mansion, elegantly restored and decorated. Direct access from the landscaped gardens to the lake, with views to die for. Fabulous food - at both breakfast and dinner. Waiter service was speedy, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. The dining room conservatory, with superb lake views. There being no Spa…nobody was wafting round in dressing gowns and slippers!!

There was nothing to dislike.

Great welcome greeted by friendly efficient staff taken straight to room. Beautiful furnishings views astounding and room very comfortable breakfast and bar meals excellent thank you we will visit again soon best wishes for the future

Small old stain and duvet had tear to top corner but reception informed and duvet replaced immediately with apologies

Terrific dinner and breakfast ; fabulous location ; nice staff ; price reasonable.

All in all I received TEN e-mails during the course of this booking, when only two were required. eg One was for electronic registration but on arrival I registered on paper ; on the morning of departure I received a final bill which was inaccurate and which reception couldn't explain how i got it ; plenty of staff to service dinner but they kept falling over each other in terms of servicing our table - result, wine was delivered very late in the meal.

The staff are polite, and the decor is beautiful. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious.

The room came with one bottle of water, which unfortunately had floaters in it.

The hotel has unimpeded access to the lake shoreline (amazing). The hotel is so peaceful and relaxing, and we were lucky enough to sit in the conservatory for dinner and breakfast (both were superb). The staff are so friendly and accommodating and I just wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely return
